I found out about this place through a friend who was going to have dinner there that night. Dinner at a bowling alley? What? Yep, they said they have he best chicken wings, and they are .50 a wing M-Th. So we went, and we went, and we went again. I've never been disappointed. The restaurant part in the bar area of the alley, but it's family friendly. Good beer specials, 2 for one beer before 7 for happy hour, you can't go wrong good food good prices and always good service! read more

We've eaten at Strikers in the past for the Friday fish fry, and that was very good. However, we went in last night and there was literally no service. As in no wait staff, no hostess, nothing. However there was a table selling raffle tickets at the entrance. That didn't help. It was pretty busy at the bar, but we decided to take a table and hope that a waitress would come out and take our order. We waited for 20 minutes and did not see one single waiter or waitress at all, anywhere. I was not about to go order our dinner at the crowded, noisy bar, then hope that we would somehow know when it was done. I must first start by saying our waitress was very nice and accommodating. We had a party of 30 and didn't call ahead. She was working alone that night and was able to handle us. I wouldn't typically go out to eat at a bowling alley bar/grille. But we needed a place to hold a lot of people and that was casual laid back - so this place won. The only thing I usually LOVE about bowling alley food is their wings so I was excited for 35 cent wing night on Thursdays. We ordered 40 - 30 BBQ and 10 hot. The hot was medium at most and all the wings weren't that meaty. I wasn't impressed. For the pizza....we had the special for the night "stuffed pepper pizza." It was good....but tasted like a frozen pizza that was baked. Not worth returning for the food. I did like the bar though - a lot of unique beers. I had a watermelon beer to start. They also make sangrias, which my mom appreciated! Great place to bring the kids because I let them run around the bowling alley area and play in the arcade while we waited for the food. read more

Yeah, ok, I went "midnight bowling" last night. Big whip. You wanna fight about it? Midnight bowling was something I thought only kids did after roller skating, be-bopping and eating Skittles all day, but this all goes beyond the scope of this review. Bowling is generally fun no matter what the circumstances, and Strikers stayed that course. What made this bowling alley memorable was the service (fast and polite bartenders), drink selection (plenty of decent beer both on tap and in bottles), the price (cheap) and oddly enough the pizza. I wasn't really hungry having just ate before going bowling, but I had a hard time resisting the pie when it hit the table. The pizza was thick, chewy and doughy, and cooked perfectly well-done. It was also really filling. About the best pizza you could imagine at a bowling alley. Lastly, I was pleasantly surprised to see that my previous opinion about the clientele that goes midnight bowling was wrong, or at least at Strikers, that is. Seems like mostly hard working adults go midnight bowling these days. I guess all the kids I grew up with in high school that I used to go midnight bowling with just kept going bowling. It's a weird feeling like as if you just found out that the Brat Pack is still in Dick Vernon's weekend detention somewhere... read more

Best fish fry around, period. Unless you are extremely hungry only get the half fish fry because it is a pretty large piece of haddock plus you get fries, macaroni salad (which is the best I have ever had) and coleslaw. Get here before 5pm or after 6:30pm be beat or miss the rush. Expect to wait 15-25mins if you come between 5 and 7. Another surprise at this bowling alley restaurant is the extensive craft beer menu. They have new beers on tap all the time and a rotating bottle list. It was definitely a surprise to me that they had so many different beers at pretty reasonable prices. read more

I am a big fan of Strikers. I was happily surprised by so many different aspects of this bowling alley sports bar. First, plenty of parking. Decent size bar with so many different televisions that were playing a little news and a little sports. There were high tops tables near the bar and more regular tables in the dining area. The entire place was open so people were able to see the televisions and the bar from any seat in the house. The bowling alley was set off in the back so you could not hear people playing, cheers or balls crashing into pins. I loved that. It was the best of both worlds; close enough to the alley so if you wanted to play it was a few short steps away, but further enough away that it didn't interfere with your ability to hear the people at your table. The four of us took a high top table and checked out the drink menu. I was shocked to see such a selection of impressive craft beers, and for only $4!!!! You can't get a bottle of craft beer for $4 anywhere. Bells Two-Hearted, $4, amazing. You are guaranteed to pay around $7 for this beer anywhere else. All of the crafts were that price and domestic and imported beer were less. We decided to share the antipasto salad, get a large pepperoni pie and some wings between the four of us. Our server was friendly and attentive, making sure he asked when we wanted more to drink. I was very surprised when shortly after ordering I saw him come out with four individual bowls of antipasto. They had split the salad for us in the back which was AWESOME. He each gave us our own dressing, it was very accommodating. It's the little gestures that go a long way for me. The salad was delicious, filled with pepperoni, cheese, ham, onions, turkey and fresh lettuce. The Italian dressing we chose for it went really well. I am a Long Island girl and I love thin crust, rarely do I find a thick crust pizza that I enjoy. Well, this thick crust pizza was SO delicious. The sauce wasn't overly sweet, the cheese on top was perfect and the tiny pepperoni on top was burnt and crisp in a good way. The slices were massive, two per person. I didn't have any wings, but they seem to be enjoyed by everyone at the table. I was really taken back by the cleanliness of this joint too, the bathrooms were NICE. I mean, really nice, and really clean! The place on a Sunday around 7 wasn't crowded, there were a few people at the bar and one table in the dining area. It was definitely a nice way to spend a sunday night. read more

Kristy Kibler of Buffalo News wrote an article for Gusto/BEN complaining that the waitress at Striker's on Michael Road did not know what beer to recommend. We were just in their last night, one of our favorite stops, fish on Friday exceptional and their beer MENU lists the beers, describes them, along with alcohol content. It is a shame the waitress did not supply or Kristy did not ask for a beer menu. Hard to recommend a specific beer, you know your own likes/dislikes. If she did my apologies, but I had a the EBC Blueberry and my daughter had a chocolate ale, both of which satisfied our palettes. I must stick up for Striker's because it is a favorite. read more

Strikers Pizza is excellent. We recently discovered their pizza and have ordered it more frequently. Their cup and char pepperoni is unlike any other and has such a fantastic, unique taste that we keep ordering. It is a cheesy pizza with good sauce. read more

I went here for the Friday Car Show and met some friends for dinner. The food and service here are generally good. There were plenty of cars to look at and they had a DJ playing oldies in the lot. I ordered a steak sandwich that was very good. A friend ordered a broiled fish fry. On her first bite, she bit into a bone. She told the waitress that she cannot eat the fish because there were bones in it. She did not expect or ask for the fish dinner to be taken off the bill. The waitress sent out the manager. He proceeded to lecture my friend, in a demeaning tone, telling her that they cannot look at every piece of fish to see if there are bones in it. He also told her that he was not taking it off her bill. WOW! You would think a Manager would have some people skills. This guy was angry and out of control. All five of us at the table were embarrassed for our friend who had to endure this guy's wrath. The owner of this place should find a manager that knows how to deal with customer related issues without insulting their intelligence. read more

If you read my other reviews of restos in the greater Buffalo area you will see that they were mostly unimpressive. After a week of bad food experiences, I looked fwd to the `have to try it once` Fri Fish Fry. When I was told it was in a bowling alley I just figured it would be just as bad as all the other places I went to that wk.Boy was I wrong.This was the one above average (non bistro/non luxury) food experience I had in the region.What? Yes they had an impressive list of craft beers on draft and bottle.You had me at hello. $2.25 LARGE logan & vodkas. The servers nice (and can I say some waitresses were hotties). We (our table of 6) did the fish fry and the fish was flaky (good flaky),fresh and some of us did broiled (good) and fried batter dipped (excellent).In our parts,we would call this fish & chips.We skipped the fries and opted for a 3rd salad (potato,slaw,mac).Note the mac salad has tuna in it (I guess nbd if you are eating fish already). We ordered wings- they were great and not oversauced. They came out how we like. All in all from quality,taste, service we would have to say it was our most pleasant experience while staying in the area for a mini reunion. A bonus was it was cruise night and nice to see the cars.As to food experience I would go out of my way to get the Fish Fry and Wings if I find myself in the area (I likely wouldn`t be up that way again for a while but you never know)..Note very busy Fri pm.I personally hate busy,but `liked` this busy b/c you felt like it was going to be fresh (it was) and worth it (definitely) read more

The restaurant/bar area was quite loud and crowded as there is usually a cruise night on Fridays. We didn't feel like waiting for a table, so we sat at the bar and had a couple cheap drinks due to the happy hour specials. We decided to eat at the bar. The fish fry was so good.
