I recently visited Dave & Buster's to celebrate my son's birthday. I purchased an unlimited play card at the beginning of November; however, the information provided at the time of purchase turned out to be incorrect, which initially made me ineligible for a promised discount. To the manager's credit, once the issue was addressed, it was handled professionally and the discount was honored. The more frustrating issue occurred during dinner service. A full rack of ribs was clearly listed on the menu, yet the server informed me she did not have the ability to order a full rack, only a half rack. I had to insist on ordering what was advertised and request to speak with a manager. During this interaction, the server responded rudely, stating that no one else had an issue with this and that I was the only one. Two minutes later, she returned and stated the issue was "fixed" and proceeded to take the order. This was not an isolated experience. This is the third time I have encountered situations at Dave & Buster's that required manager involvement for basic service matters, which should not be the norm for a family entertainment and dining establishment. If it were not for the fact that my son truly enjoys this place--and the limited family entertainment options in the Buffalo area--I would not return. I would not generally recommend Dave & Buster's based on service consistency. That said, if you are in a similar situation and need a venue to keep kids entertained, it may suffice, but expectations should be managed. read more

A few weeks back we came here to celebrate my fathers birthday . The service was absolutely horrible. I'm not usually one to express a negative experience, but this was exactly that! Let me begin with we made a reservation. When we arrived the host was very nice. The table wasn't ready which is okay that normal can happen, but we had two small children in our party and they sat us at a Hightop table where the highchair didn't reach. We waited ... ready... 2 1/2 hours for our food. We seen mutuiple family come eat and leave before out r drinks where even out. We asked to speak to a manager twice and she never came. Not only that but we purchased cards to play games after lunch which turned into dinner and they weren't working. The only reason I gave 1 star is because the burger i personally had was good. It takes a lot to mess up a burger . After we all finally got our food items took another 30 min to get refills and mayo! I didn't even bother to ask for ketchup. I just walked over the the bar area and took it from a different table. After eating it's took ..... 30 more min for the check, and when I received it , it was wrong. I asked what they were going to take off for the inconvenience. Now we were a party of 10 so this wasn't a small bill by any means. The server looked me and said "take off for what." I took a deep breath and said for waiting 3 hours to eat on top of everything else. Long story short they took the sodas off the bill . Never seen the manager and spent most of our time just waiting. Good thing we're all good company lol or it would have been such a boring and awkward time. My cousin went to the food court and at his food at our table that's how bad it was. The kids where so hungry. It was just a very bad experience. We made the best of it after and the games where fun. Highly don't suggest eating there unless you have no other plans for the day. But on a positive note it could have just been a bad day. I personally won't be eating there anytime soon. A few ppl felt sick after also. read more

We got the Dangerous Waters shareable cocktails that came in the canteen. I ordered the BBQ flatbread it is spicy, but so good!! Baked to perfection. My girlfriend ordered the chicken cantina nachos. They were good, but the chicken on them was completely cold. She took them home and warmed them up there because she didn't want to wait for them to remake them being that they were already backed up. The second container we ordered had a broken dispenser. Parmesan chicken 7/10 Chicken is cooked pretty good. The red sauce on it is a good flavor. Plenty of cheese. The Alfredo could have a tiny bit more sauce, but most all the noodles are coated. Bruschetta topping was large chunks of tomato, some of them were a little mushy and discolored like they were going bad. Not sure if they were, they freaked me out too much to try them. We have been to this Dave and Busters many times. They now just have large machines to add funds to your card. I tried to use my previous card but it wasn't working. There was a spot for an attendant but none could be found. So, I was forced to pay another $3 fee to get a new card, not cool. We decided to have some drinks while the kids' played games. They were out of two beers we wanted on tap, cold snap and Yuengling. I had the Stella and you could taste the lines needed to be cleaned. Yasmin at the bar was a decent bartender. We put in our name for a table to eat. After about an hour and 20 minutes I went to check on it. The rudest hostess I've dealt with in all my years, Chelsea was both rude and disrespectful. When I asked her what her name was, she ran away. Then the manager Dion came over and also refused to give me her name saying it was company policy. I don't believe that because they wear name tags. I was able to get her name from a worker who was walking the gaming floor. Dion was a little bit more professional but not much. Luckily one of the other guests in our party was able to have an amazing server seat us. Her name was Celina and she saved the day. She was bright, funny and courteous. Mind you during this time Chelsea was walking past our table with her shirt inside out so I couldn't see her name tag. I assume that would be against company policy. Almost taunting me, you literally can't make this stuff up. If it wasn't for how incredible Celina was this whole experience would have been a total loss. This is your best worker and she is the most front of house there is. The other was the hostess Chelsea who blew it from the onset. By far the most DISAPPOINTING service at the bar that I've experienced in a long time. We came for a birthday party-the arcade was good but either the bartender chick was having a bad day or is just extremely rude. I joined my group in hopes of ordering a cocktail and the bartender seemed to be off her game so I hung back to see how the others in my party were being serviced. One of us ordered another drink, when it arrived it didn't have the strawberry ice cubes and when questioned she seemed perturbed that it would be expected. Once the appetizers started to arrive, they were lacking nacho cheese, we were strongly advised that it would be extra. (Okay!). One of the orders was requested to not have tomato but lo and behold, they were splattered everywhere on the platter. When brought to the attention of the bartender, she acted as though we insulted her cooking. The other bartender did come and re-order them for us but the replacements were burnt. The bartender we had made the experience at the bar less than enjoyable so we decided to grab food elsewhere. The good: the amount of games and plenty of space for the youngsters to play without long wait times, the watermelon strawberries drink was delicious, the manager came to smooth things over. I am reviewing Dave &Buster's for what it is. A casino for kids or an arcade for adults. My fiance and I sometimes will indulge our inner child and load up a d&b card and play for a good 2 hours. We did that last night and it was so much fun. We have been trying to earn enough tickers to get an slushy machine to make frozen cocktails and we are almost there. Only 8k more tickets to go! I would never eat the food here. I would order a canned drink but wouldn't expect the cocktails to be exceptional. It is fun. read more

I typically don't like coming when they are busy because it can get pretty loud but today I went at noon so it wasn't bad. They are doing some renovations and adding new interactive games and a bigger sports area, they also have 2 virtual reality games that are a lot of fun. I don't typically stay more than an hour or two because of the noise and lights but it is fun and they have a nice selection of prizes! read more

Came here for a night out with our toddler who is almost 2 and another couple. We were seated quite fast the way time was 15 minutes but I think we waited less than 10. Our waitress was good she was veryyyyy busy as was the bar you could tell she was overwhelmed. They had like no beer in stock no blue light, bud light, blue moon, local drafts, they were out of a lot of popular choices. They have a kids menu section which was great but my daughter's food came out last and she was starving she was eating the fries off my plate... I had the chicken avocado club and it was good! Also had a strawberry lemonade that hit the spot. We played games and that was fun so many to choose from and my daughter had so much fun. I will say I was very annoyed at the fact that I was waiting to use the family bathroom to change my daughter's diaper and 3 teenagers came out of the bathroom together... For the arcade I say 5 stars. It's exactly what you would expect. The restaurant, I would pass. My husband and I came there with our two yr old. Had fun in the arcade and the restaurant is right there so convenient with a kid. We went to the host and were seated right away. The table was obviously not wiped down, covered in food crumbs with the menus placed on top. Fine we could just ask the waiter to wipe it down... if they ever came. As we waited longer and longer with a toddler getting more and more impatient we noticed that the other two tables around us look very unhappy. One table of 6 appeared to have received half their food and all their kids were still waiting! Their food was half done looking around for a waiter. The table next to us also had issues. Idk what but the waiter was apologizing a lot. We waited a bit longer and decided it was not worth it and who knows how long we would have waited for the actual food. As we were packing up a waitress walked by saying she would be with us in a min... seriously. It had already been 15 min. The table next to us asked if we decided to leave, we said ya and they said that's a good choice. Yikes. It's so unfortunate because it's a good design, you can play in the arcade until your kids are exhausted then immediately be at the restaurant for food and go home happy. Instead we ended up leaving all hungry and increasingly frustrated. We were a party of 7, and there for an adult child's 22nd birthday. I hugely disliked the new ordering system. The time spent figuring out the ordering greatly took away from family time together at the table. Everyone scans the QR code at the table for the menu, but you also can only order food and drinks on your phone and pay on your phone. The tip is calculated as well. If you're not familiar with how it works, it's a hassle. We all ordered through our phones, so then all 7 orders did not come out at the same times. Drinks were not coming as we ordered. I didn't remember till after all was said and done that we didn't get our 15% military discount either. The 22yr old is an Army Officer It's just so expensive too. The new super-sized hungry hippos being out of order has been a disappointment. The big surprise was the food. When they say the $10 plate of truffle fries serves 2-4, the emphasis should be on the 4. I ordered it as a meal for myself, and barely put a dent in it. Great dipping sauces, too. The giant pretzel is as big around as a big baby's arm. One son loves the chicken. The other was satisfied after his kids pizza and regretted getting a side of fries, thus continuing the family tradition of ordering way more fries than we actually need. Fun drinks, too. It becomes a top quality family spot with a fantastic menue, incredibly kind, personable & professional staff, and an out of this world (and at times overwhelming) variety of games for everyone to enjoy. Had my son's birthday party here today. Unfortunately it was less than one-star. Their game cards were not set up correctly so the blue games charged when we had paid for unlimited play. Each kid was out of tokens within the first 30 minutes having "spent" most of them on the unlimited play games. Manager thought it was an issue with the game until she realized it was each kid's card. She then took the cards and "reset" them and gave them back to us. Unfortunately she didn't clarify the process or provide a way to distinguish which card belonged to which kid. A couple kids had built up their tokens in the thousands and were upset that they lost them. My son's birthday wristband, even after being fixed, charged him for blue games. Went through the same oh it must be the game. Only for them to give up on the band and transfer it to a card. And then I had to advocate for them to restore his credits again due to being charged for unlimited play games. Our server didn't clear the table between lunch and cake. We did that. We also cleared it after cake. The drink dispensers were empty more than they were filled. Food was mediocre at best. We spent more time during the party bussing tables and fixing issues that shouldn't have occurred in the first place. What a waste of money and time. Learn from my experience and pick a different place for your kids party. read more

We generally love Dave and Busters but... Covid did a number on it, even with restrictions lifted now. Gaming: some games are closed or limited for social distancing, but mostly running. However the prizes are extremely limited. And once something is gone, it's rarely restocked. Very slim pickings. Food: the new "order via phone" even when seated at a table, is... Not great at all. It leads to the waitress not checking on tables at all once the food is delivered. We sat for 20min waiting for ours to come back for napkins, straws, a box, etc. They now have no incentive to return to table since you've already paid via phone... Need to get rid of this system. Ordered a black bean burger that was 100% not one and I didn't eat it. When I asked to just have the $3.00 up charge removed the "manager" came over and said that was the black bean burger and sorry you didn't like it and didn't remove the up charge. Will never return or recommended. Table had crumbs all over it, every page of the menu stuck together and never received the water or condiments we asked for. There was a man up front but he was too occupied with his wallet and phone to even bother to say hello. 5 minutes into standing there he said he would go find the hostess. 2 hostess then walk up holding hands and giggling and seemed inconvenienced to seat our party. Once seated we ordered drinks from our waitress and she continued to giggle and laugh with the hostess before putting in our drinks. I ordered food directly from the menu and she was confused as to what I even ordered. Once our food came I had to wait for silverware to even eat as they were never given. I have to say, though, that this particular dining experience was definitely not the best I've ever had. Our waitress was not the friendliest or easiest to approach, and she definitely didn't show us much respect. When a couple of people in our group ordered adult beverages, she asked for their IDs, which wasn't a problem. However, things took a turn for the worse when my friend showed his ID by opening his wallet and showing her. She actually took his wallet out of his hand and started bending and feeling his ID. Who does that?! We probably should have left right then and there, because things only got worse from there. She seemed to ignore our table multiple times, and she got visibly annoyed whenever we ordered more drinks. To top it all off, she even messed up our bill when we asked for it to be split. We tried to get her attention to fix it, but after waiting for her to come back for 10 minutes, we eventually gave up. As for the food, it was just mediocre. My queso was barely lukewarm & the chips were stale, and the boneless wings were far from crispy. The burgers my friends got looked decent, though. Dave & Busters is a load of fun and that's the simple truth. I've been coming to Dave & Busters for about 8 years now (though this is only my second time at the Buffalo location). I ended up coming here on New Years Eve for some dinner and games and it's not a decision I regret. The place was pretty busy but not busy enough to get us a table right away. The menu here is pretty impressive for a place that focuses on being a giant arcade. I ordered something that was basically two decent size pieces of fried chicken, biscuits, and mashed potatoes piled on top of each other. Not only did the food look food but it tasted really good as well! My only complaint with the food is that they can definitely simmer down on the salt because it is a tad overwhelming at times. The arcade here is pretty awesome to say the least. You get cards that hold both the tickets you win and the coins you have to spend. The floor here is pretty massive and features everything from arcade games to play just for the fun of it or a large variety of ticket games if you want to take home the massive stuffed Pikachu they offer. Overall, Dave & Busters is a load of fun to go on a fun date, family outing, or just hanging out with some friends. The food is good, the staff is friendly, and the games are fun, what more could you ask for? read more

Most of them are pretty well-maintained and other than the pricing I really have nothing bad to say about it. The service has always been friendly and the games have always been fun. I would probably give it a 3-star rating because of the high price of doing anything here, but when I see all the awful ratings it makes me give it a four since it is so underrated. read more
