Not a spot I'd want to go to again. Went before a Bandits game - some family/friends reserved a table. You have to order your drinks/food at the bar. Since we had three different groups, the food came out separately, which was fine, but you just had no idea idea how long it would be. The pizza took significantly longer than the wings, fingers, and fries. Food wasn't anything memorable. I had the bbq fingers because my SIL raved about them. To my dismay, they were not charred. I liked that they were saucy, but paper that lined the basket stuck to them, so definitely had a few bites of the liner. They came with chips that did have a good crunch, but missing in taste. Maybe I'm just too needy, but I like salt, pepper, and napkins on the table - none to be found. And no blue cheese served with the fingers. Since the bar was crowded pre-game, I decided to make due with what I had - paper towels from the bathroom. This spot may have been more enjoyable when I was in my college days. Of course we picked a bandits game to visit this restaurant/bar. We were immediately greeted at the door and at that time the place was still not too busy. Tables were nice and clean, and some tunes playing in the place. Ordered a cheese pizza (cause what kid can say no to cheese pizza), bbq wings and some fries. Wings were perfectly cooked, great bbq sauce and the best part is they were nice and crispy. Fries, again good portion and cooked nice and crispy. That pizza though, must be cooked in a magic oven. Perfection. Probably one of the better pizzas I've had in a while. This place is not a well kept secret, so come early if there's an event going on. read more

Wandered into Cobblestone while in town for the eclipse. The place was empty save for one other group of customers. Not the restaurant's fault because the town had inextricably been encouraged to shut down during the eclipse. Since we were soon the only ones there, we spent our time talking with the owner/bartender and the cook/server, both super chatty and friendly. Nice feel to the place; cozy for such a big room. The pizza was good (although OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive at an eye-popping $27!!!) and my Impossible burger was awesome. read more

I was at the cobblestone buffalo after the bandits won the championship last weekend (5/18/24). it's unfortunate I witnessed a young man in the bar push / hit a random lady in the chest area. When this was brought to the owners attention, he became combative, and got into this ladies face, he berated her and kept saying he didn't see the incident and would need to watch the video. Well, the owner didn't do anything to remove the young male from the premise and kept sticking up for him. It was a scary, hectic moment and my party did not feel safe so we left. I would not visit this bar again as I didn't feel safe and the owner, instead of helping, made the situation even more tense. read more

This bar is open before Keybank Center events. It is the perfect location for pre-game, it has the perfect menu for pre-game. Still the best place to go before a sabres game or other event at the arena. It's always packed but they have enough bartenders working to keep everyone happy with full drinks. The wings are traditional, the building is beautiful with it's old wooden interior. The bathrooms have been clean and they have a unique way of flushing.. its like a giant doorbell that your have to pull the Chinese down to flush. Haha I swear I'm not drunk while writing this, I just really thought the bathrooms were cool. My biggest peeve with cobblestone is that they do not serve blue light, which is a local favorite and even sponsors our sports teams. I had to settle with Molson, and it was $5 per draft. It's a great place for pregaming but wouldn't be my first choice for a regular dinner. read more

Cobblestone is definitely a spot that you MUST stop at before heading to a Sabres game - and then after the game is over, you stop by again while you wait for traffic to die down. Buffalo is one of the best places to get a slice of pizza and if you're dining at Cobblestone, you can't say no to the pizza. Not only do they offer a variety of flavors, it's brick oven pizza which gives it that fresh, local touch. And of course, you can't have pizza without wings. I recommend the BBQ wings. The sauce has a nice sweetness to it and it's simply delicious. The only downfall is that if you get a double order of wings, you can't split the flavors. Instead, you have to order two single orders of wings, but it's not the worst thing that could happen. Also, bartenders and serves are super personable and love to make you feel like you're just another regular! read more

Went to Cobblestones after Sabres Game Jan 2020. The bartender (lady in late 40's early 50's) charged my card twice!!! Once for $58 and again for $52. She told me the first time the payment did not go through. It was intentional. Total scam. Now a few months later I see it on my statement. Called for explanation , no answer place is closed due to Covid. If you look on TripAdvisor there is another person who was ripped off as well. He was ripped off by one of the male bartenders using the same scam. Dishonest people!!!! Do not support this place! dishonest staff. There are lots of choices. Eating at Cobblestone this last visit made me wish that Jeffrey Dahmer drilled a hole in my skull, poured sulfuric acid into my brain and caused me to become a demented, flesh-eating zombie so I would never again have the taste to eat anything they'll ever carry on the menu there again... Or better yet it makes me wish I never ate there in the first place. I rarely give a one-star review, and I especially wouldn't care to give one to Cobblestone, a near iconic Buffalo mainstay- a bare brick bar fraught with character, flowing with cheap beer and one that appears to be chiseled from the very block of Buffalo's rich, industrial past -but this time was just that bad. The service, the food, everything was terrible. I don't like to think of myself as a complainer but there were some blunders that were reprehensible. For starters, the waitress brought me a dirty knife. And no, not a knife that was maybe ran through the dishwasher once but still wasn't all that clean, but a knife that was covered in a gooey film and bits of food like someone had just eaten a salad with it. I didn't care at that point, because I ordered a pizza and didn't need the knife. Doesn't make that less gross, however. Then, my wife and I found that although our pop (soda) was supposed to be Coke, it tasted exactly like RC Cola. It was either RC Cola or they fermented Coca-Cola in a rusty barrel with a dead possum floating in it. My wife told the server her "Coke" tasted terrible, and the server said, "Oh", and walked away never to return to check on us again. She didn't offer her a water either. I practically had to jump out of my seat to flag her down next time to order a beer. Over ten minutes went by before I saw that beer. Although it was dead when we got there and we order a pizza immediately, it took almost an hour for it to come out. And about that pizza: we ordered the brick oven baked Banana Pepper pizza for $22. It looked like they found the smallest pepper available and cut it up to fill a medium sized pizza. The dough tasted like they made it with chalk dust instead of flour. Worst of all, the bottom was burned to complete blackness. We waited so long for that pizza and were so hungry at that point that we choked it down anyways, like a prisoner of war might do with his daily rations of fish heads and seaweed mash, all while getting our hands and mouths covered in black soot from the burnt bottom in the process. I honestly can't find anything nice to say except that perhaps Cobblestone is better suited for slurping down beers and chicken wings while pre-gaming for a Sabres game, but asking them to do anything more than that is asking for trouble. ONE LAST THING: They were playing bump n' grind slow dance music on the jukebox through the dinner hour. It was really weird. read more

Cobblestone is a staple of the downtown scene, especially if you're stopping out for drinks before or after an event at First Niagara Center. I have helped organize two very large events at this bar. The owner and staff are the best in the biz - professional, courteous, efficient, knowledgeable and accommodating. Good, inexpensive beer. Fantastic layout and unique interior. Parking was free in the parking lots right across the street from Cobblestone and Helium. Ofcourse, I hope the struts on your car are good. The streets and parking lot are all cobbly. Very cool. Next you are greeted by the General Mills factory up close. Even at night the factory seems to be churning away it's crispity munchies. I always drive by, and when I see the smoke, for a split second, I worry that the cheerios have caught fire. Then reality comes back, and I stare in admiration and think, wow. they must make cereal 24-7. The music when I arrived was from a DJ, so I can't really blame the place for it being insanely loud. And I mean uncomfortably loud. The coat rack was small, but tonight's ambush event brought hoards of ladies. I had to shove my oversized toasty coat in a pile of stacked chairs that were around the entrance. It was safe and no one stole it by the end of the night. =D The bartenders were friendly, but could not hear me. I resorted to pointing at their beer menu to get my order through. I did like that they had a nice variety of beers on draft and bottled. If you're a wine drinker, they have that too. The waitress was sent out with a round of $3.00 vodka shots at one point, in a college bar type fashion. The place was packed wall to wall, which was nice for a change. The ceiling was a brick wave that went down the room. There are huge televisions showing sports, and a fire place in a corner. The toilets were unkept the later the night grew. No more paper towels or soap and the time was only around 11pm. The floor was drenched in.. not sure, beer? water? ugh. The females middle stall lock broken. What is it with places and the middle stall. That must be the popular stall. The cool thing about the toilets, it's the type of style like in Godfather 2. You know, the italian bar - hidden gun- scene. I have never seen one like this in person before. *psyched*. I never got around to see about their food. it was so busy, I am not sure if they would have come out very easily. Actually, I don't remember seeing anyone with food. There were at least 3 exits that people were using constantly to smoke outside in the cold. I couldn't help but feel a little sorry for them. I hate being cold. Helium next door has a smoke screen area set up. To keep it's poor little cigarette lovers mildly warm. They definitely did their best to keep up with the crowd. I am guessing they are only crowded to this capabity during major sporting events. The service was as good as it could be during the madness. I went here for the first time before the sabres home opener. As you can imagine it was extremely busy. They had a limited menu that only offered wings and fries. The ordering system was unorganized as you had to wait at the bar to order the food and then they gave you a number to display on your table. After 55 minutes of waiting for a single order of wings I thought something was up. I asked the waiter the status and it turned out that our order was never put in which was disappointing because the game was about to start and we still didn't get our wings. The owner put a rush on the wings and gave us two free beers to compensate. Wings were pretty good but we couldn't tell if we were just starving or if they were actually that good. Went there on a rather quiet Friday night. I'm quite the fan of the brick wall, exposed ventilator pipes kinda interiors as it is. This place looks just like one. You get hit with a sweet sweet aroma of the brick oven and the pizza's coming out of it. Cheap drinks and super friendly barkeeps. Very close to the First Niagara Center so it's the perfect place to grab a few drinks before attending an event. I didn't eat there but definitely want to go try the menu after that waft of the smell that hit my nose and stirred up the saliva in my mouth. read more

This is a great place to go hang out before or after events at the First Niagara center. The atmosphere is a mix between upscale but comfortable. There are plenty of tables for you and a group to hang out have drinks and something light to eat. They serve brick oven pizza that is delicious and they have many different styles to try. It comes out in a timely manner pipping hot right to the table. The events menu isn't overly big but you could find something tasty to eat. They have a full bar and the drinks prices are reasonable. The serves are always making sure you have full drinks and everything you need. Over all this place is a nice hangout right near the arena with good food and drinks. read more

This place is great. The old style factory industrial atmosphere works with the brick fire pizza oven in the back. Theres a huge projector screen playing the Masters golf tourney and the crowd filed in for the pregame of the Bandits game. We ordered the same pizza we order at any pizzeria. Great place for food or drinks pre or post Key Bank events. Food was very good. Staff was excellent even with a full house. Chicken wing dip appetizer was a great start.
