This is an awesome facility and I truly enjoy spending time there. There's something for everyone no matter what your fitness goals are-- during my time as a member I've gone from "taking a break" from working out and doing a lot of yoga/relaxing and now currently getting back into a bodybuilding program. The gym offers a variety of equipment and I never have to improvise due to lack of equipment. I might be staying the obvious here, but if you are into powerlifting, I would probably go elsewhere. The cardio machines are brand new and really nice. The actual place itself is very clean. I feel totally comfortable showering in the locker room and they have everything you need- towels, body wash, lotion, razors, etc. The outdoor pool is really pretty and nice to relax at after a workout. Staff is super nice and helpful. I have yet to buy any food from the cafe but it looks good. Definitely some good options if you're in a bind or spending a long time there. I will gladly pay the extra $ to train in a clean and peaceful gym.

I simply cannot believe the decisions made for their renovation. I understand renovations were needed as the gym they previously purchased and renamed, did need several cosmetic updates. However, whoever made the decisions for this specific location seriously is tone deaf, and should not be put in charge of such decisions in the future. Not to mention, the air conditioning still stops working randomly, the showers are not open for use, can't use the court because of construction, several classes unavailable. And they are still charging full price. The only silver lining, and also the only reason I left two stars, is because the lifting area is still nicely maintained. And honestly, after seeing what they chose to do with the basketball courts, I will no longer be coming to this location. Removal of the full court NBA sized court with all the side baskets will affect their membership numbers more than they realize. This location has long been a legendary court where high-level players and their training staff and friends would frequent. Especially over the summer. Now it's been downsized to a LA Fitness style court. Also, considering how much it cost nowadays to replace of hardwood basketball court, if they ever chose to go back on their decision, it would cost them triple. Absolutely bonehead move by whoever signed off on this. Whoever made this decision, does not understand the local community and their desires. Furthermore, it's not like they were short on space. There's plenty of room in this massive gym to have turf placed without cutting up the bball floor. Not to mention, the other nearest lifetime in Palm Beacch Gardens only has Pickleball courts. So basically, if you are a basketball player, Life Time doesn't really care about you. Such an absolute shame. Local community that is affected by this will find alternate locations. Personally, I will be going to the equinox in West Palm. Feel free to include a boring corporate response below this review, but understand that no matter what you say, you made a terrible decision which was not " in the best interest of the community". I hate how so many things nowadays are made worse by someone sitting behind a desk signing off on bad ideas. Well, understand that now people who used to drive over an hour to come use this gym will find other places to go.

I learned about HEW from a colleague at work. This gym is only a couple of miles from where I live so it's very convenient. So one day I dropped in and was greeted by Jason, one of the owners. He was very friendly, gave me a tour and explained how HEW works. HEW has classes throughout the day. They are high-intensity interval circuits which can involve anything from jogging, Olympic lifting, burpees, tire flips, rowing machines, etc. The workouts change on a daily basis. You usually do about 15 minutes of warmups and about 30 minutes of the circuit. Everything is timed and there are usually multiple coaches (including Jason) who go around and help everyone with form, moving from station to station, etc. The daily workouts will get you in shape and help you lose weight in a hurry! I love being able to just show up and have everything already planned out for me. Everyone I've met so far at the gym has been very friendly and welcoming. The coaches are happy to answer any questions. In addition, HEW-Delray also has a large number of additional activities for it's members such as weight loss challenges, member parties, etc. I haven't had a chance to try too many of these yet but I look forward to doing so in the future. Finally, I also wanted to mention that HEW-Delray has a very nice open layout with plenty of room. Everything is well-maintained and the owners obviously take pride in their facility. Overall, HEW-Delray earns an easy 5-star review. If you're looking for a pleasant place with nice people and good coaches where you can just show up and get in shape, you should definitely try HEW-Delray.

The classes are tough for my skill set but at the same time they don't judge you if your a beginner or never have taken barre, yoga or cardio classes. I was expecting some sort of dance class but it is unique because they add elements of cardio and yoga in it. So far I have had the pleasure of taking Fabiana's class over the weekend. She was encouraging as well as helpful during my moments of cluelessness. I enjoyed the work out so much that I decided to try this studio for a month to see what kind of results I get. Also I took Jackie's class as well. She was so nice and made sure I was not lost. At times I want to laugh while in class because I look so ridiculous doing the poses however it's a fun learning experience. This type of studio took me out of my comfort zone and I'm really liking it. Every instructor is very caring and do not make you feel like a outsider. I would recommend anyone to try a barre class. She was so nice to me (even though others were being nasty with her) and she was so professional. I probably would've lost it to be honest with you. She stays professional even when clients are entitled and extremely rude. I recently witnessed a dilemma where a client was yelling at the other lady working about a simple mistake and caused a scene over something that clearly was a misunderstanding. It seems the women wanted to bring someone and the class was full? Cry me a river. The staff had already gone out of their way to try and accommodate this woman but still she acted like a child. I then saw the manager gaby try to step in and resolve the issue. But the lady wanted to hear none of it. Not until she got exactly what she wanted to made a scene and honestly I don't think I'd wanna go back if that's how other clients are I don't want to work out with them. It was truthfully uncomfortable to be there and watch these girls take this ladies yelling. I was very impressed by how calm the manager handled it. Place is lucky to have her she handled it the best way it seemed anyone could. I applaud gaby and the other lady I forgot her name. I hope owners can take note that it's unacceptable for their staff to be treated that way over a simple mistake. The ladies take their job seriously and honestly deserve a raise. Keep it up girls don't let a couple of ladies ruin your day because they don't know how to set an alarm for their session. Only reason I'm giving 5 stars is so the girls know it's for them.

I wanted a workout that was challenging enough to satisfy the fitness junkie in me but paced enough that I wouldn't burn out. I was jumping back into a structured workout regiment after 3 years away from a group fitness setting so it was important that everyone was welcoming. I could not have asked for a better group of trainers and gym goers as well. Everyone is really nice, friendly and encouraging. And I always get a good workout here. You can book classes through their app, which is really easy to download and use. Unlike other places (looking at you OrangeTheory), you get some grace with canceling if necessary. Of course, they don't encourage cancellations but they do offer some grace if it happens so you can keep the sessions you pay for. Also, you can text the trainers to let them know what's going on and they actually answer. Things to know: The music is great but it varies from trainer to trainer. Love hip hop? Take Stephanie's classes. Love Latin-inspired music? Damian is your dude. Prefer a rock/hip hop mix? Then Chris is your man. They are obsessive about cleanliness. This is one of the main reasons I feel comfortable coming here. They are really on the ball as far as cleanliness goes. That's a plus at this point. Each class is taught by a trainer who cares about you getting the best workout possible. Seriously. You don't have to worry about only one person being good while everyone else is mediocre. They all bring something unique and care immensely about their students. I could go on but really I have found a great way to workout and a new gym home! I encourage you to try a free class or free week to see what it's all about. You will not be disappointed.

I read the reviews for IntensityX3 and decided to check it out since I always love a good kickboxing class. Since it was my first time there I had to take a 25 minute new members class with Ivy. There was one other newbie boxer in attendance and she went thru some of the punches and kicks she would be calling out in the 50 minute class that followed. While I've boxed before it was super helpful since there were a lot of different punches and kicks in the actual class. The 50 minute class was packed and clearly with many regulars. Ivy taught this as well and the first half of the class was kickboxing. She took us thru many high energy routines - it was fun and we broke a sweat! The second half of the class was all butt/legs. It was a great combo of cardio and strength and I left bummed that i was headed back to Chicago later that day since I wanted to go again. I"ll definitely be back next time I head home to South Florida! The studio itself isn't easy to find! They are located in the back of the Office Depot plaza, although the other side of Office Depot. Turn left before the Public Storage Building and look for the black awning. I had trouble, but called them and they stayed on the phone with me giving me solid directions. The only thing I didn't love was doing this workout barefoot, which they claim is better for your feet. I prefer to workout in shoes, especially when kicking backs and working with heavy weights. Perhaps it's just something I need to get used to, but everything else was solid!

I was slightly out of shape, but hit a plateau and wasted time plugging away at the gym. Then I went to Crossfit West Boca. An hour long class usually involves a warmup, some strength/skill work, and a WOD (workout of the day) usually for time or max reps that on paper may look absurdly impossible. When I started out, they were hard. But I was willing to admit that I knew nothing, learning all kinds of new movements. In the 4 short weeks of consistently going, I can honestly say that I'm stronger. The workouts although challenging, don't seem as absurdly impossible. It's the only thing that has EVER inspired me to wake up at 4:30am to make the 5:30am class. It has taught me that I have a final push to get me through the workouts. It has some of the most supportive, friendly, and knowledgeable coaches I've ever had the pleasure of working with. They push you but make sure you are doing the movements safely and correctly.
