They are a lot like those of an economy airline - petty and arbitrary. For example, if you discontinue anything, whether it's a class, spa appointment, family memberships, or personal training, you will likely be billed for extras months/sessions you did not want or use, along with change fees and other random nickel-and-dime items. They already command premium membership dues for their top-notch facility, so I just don't understand why they think this is necessary. But, as long as you avoid all the extras, it's a fine place to work out.

Little did I know he wasn't lowering the price he was simply selling me less sessions (which he never mentioned until the end when I asked) So my advice is if you want to do business here make sure you're reading all the small print in your contracts.

However, not only did they charge me the $15 to come, they then told me I'm not allowed to bring my child because I'm not a paying member. Well I just paid and how can I decide that I want to be a member if they don't let me bring my child to try. And then to top it all off they "don't process refunds themselves" they have to send it out to corporate to process the refund. So long story short, if you have kids, don't waste your time. Get a membership to Paul Derda and you'll be much happier.

What I also like about Hyland Fit are their HUUUUGE accessible fitness rooms (3 plus the main 2 gyms) with tons of equipment, massive locker rooms with couches and actual sitting areas vs. a bleacher. Also, there's steam rooms and a dry sauna, all kinds of fitness classes included. This is definitely a much higher end gym without the huge cost!

I joined Hotworx in February 2026 and I have been motivated DAILY to workout! I have never sweat as much as I do in the workouts and I get pushed to point of failure in every class (which is awesome because it just means I'm challenged). The staff at the Westminster location is great and makes cleanliness a top priority- which is very important in a sauna environment. This gym offers a traditional CrossFit class, but they also offer a competitive class, a strength class, as well as a Flex class (similar to a CF boot camp style). What has really given this gym 5 stars is the fact that they have offered skills clinics (jump rope and gymnastics) - which has exponentially helped me in these aspects of my training.
