Okay so... This will sound ridiculously unbelievable, but it is 100% true. I had a lower back issue that caused a stinger on the left side of my back with a full speed driver swing and constant pain in the lower right side of my back. I had numerous appointments with my sports medicine Doctor who is the head of the Centura Sports Medicine team and a physio. I also saw a chiropractor and got several massages. I had numerous x-rays. They ordered an MRI, BUT... On the very 1st session with Alyssa Magalong, she fixed my lower back during the 10 minute recovery portion after our training session by using a theragun percussion massage on my upper right glute. It was fixed. It has been fixed for over a month without any problems. I am just amazed. It has to sound fake, but it's not. She fixed it in a few minutes. So beyond that, Alyssa also happens to be a beauty pageant winner and is super down to earth, friendly, and charismatic. I had no idea about the beauty pageant stuff until I saw it on a description of her background on the wall with staff photos and background info, so she doesn't sit there and tell you how cool she is... She asks you about you and is genuinely interested in what you have to say. She listens. She will also kick your butt with training. I am super impressed, and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a very talented personal trainer. A+++ and Thumbs up for Alyssa. I am honored that she has been my trainer. I feel lucky to have found her. Hopefully others can benefit from my experience. She is the best. read more

I'm very disappointed at my experience here, the trainer I worked with AJ, was great. Austin, in management is another story. The amount of money that he conned me for was really not a lot but the business practices I feel are terrible. I had a great experience here in 2019 so I decided to go back, the prices Austin offered me seemed to be high for me so I decided to turn down the offer but Austin offered me to lower the price to $200 since I had been a former client. Little did I know he wasn't lowering the price he was simply selling me less sessions (which he never mentioned until the end when I asked) So my advice is if you want to do business here make sure you're reading all the small print in your contracts. read more

I worked out here for over a year and had a great experience. The two trainers I had Connor and Tre were very knowledgeable and had compatible personalities. They know how to motivate me and help me reach my goals. I had a slight issue when I cancelled to try out Pilates but management was able to work with me to get it corrected right away. Two pieces of advice: 1) NEVER sign a long-term contract with this business, and 2) Please notice that all the positive reviews on this site -- which were true at one time -- are more than two years old. My story: I signed up with Core in the summer of 2017; I just completed what will be my last session this past Wednesday, when they fired my trainer and left me with six sessions I will never use because I will never set foot in this business again. (I'm actually lucky as it could have been a lot more.) During those three years, I trained 2-5 times a week with a succession of trainers: Kaleigh (who was super nice and dedicated but not my style); Nick (who was amazing and then left five weeks after I started training with him); Johnny (who was also awesome and left five months after I started training with him); Tyler (who successfully trained me for a Spartan race); and Rachelle (who trained me in person and then via FaceTime when the pandemic hit). I have nothing but positive things to say about the trainers. They were knowledgeable, they worked hard and planned great workouts and always had a positive attitude. The space is also nice and I like the concept of a private training gym. My beef is with the business and its management. First, their cancellation policies suck. Even if you move across the country, you will need to pay thousands of dollars to get out of your contract. DO NOT SIGN A LONG TERM CONTRACT. If they tell you you have a verbal agreement that is not captured in the contract, DO NOT BELIEVE THEM. Even if you love your trainer and he/she tells you they have no plans to leave, do not sign a long term contract because if they leave or are fired (which happened to me twice) you will be stuck and the business will have zero interest in helping you or making it right. Second, as the above might indicate, there is clearly an ongoing rift between the trainers and management that ultimately hurts clients by interrupting their training. Since I started training there, every single trainer has left, including recently people who had been there for years. Both of my last two trainers -- who I liked! -- were fired by the business with no warning and due to what seemed to me to be some kind of weird power struggle. The business really didn't seem to care how these out of the blue might affect clients or whatever training goals and plans you were working on. I would just get a text from a new trainer inviting me to come in for a workout. Anyway, I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes but it's clearly pretty ugly -- and after working with and then losing access to four trainers in three years, I'm done with these guys. read more

About a month or two ago, my wonderful wife Kirsten and I decided to invest in our health and set a goal to become more physically active. We knew if we set a New Year's Resolution, it most likely wouldn't stick, so we decided to sign up with her former personal trainer Jon's company Core Progression Elite Personal Training. We started seeing an informative, and patient trainer / nutritionist named a Jeff, and after only a month of seeing him bi-weekly, and utilizing his workout & nutrition plans, I'm starting to feel & notice progress. I've never been lazy, but since I've stopped touring as heavily, I don't do much physically demanding work anymore. My body isn't as limber as it used to be so stretching myself out has been rewarding. My metabolism has always been super fast, and I've always been pretty thin, however learning to eat better & more frequently has been a rewarding challenge as well. What I also notice, is the poor posture I have allowed myself to have and as a result, relearning proper posture & using correct form have been helping my body withstand the new changes and not be as sore as I build muscle or feel as awkward or strained with certain exercises. 10/10 recommend. I've been with Core Progression since May of this year. I have worked with Jordan a couple of times, and with Connor three times a week for one hour each time. I walk in and the atmosphere is that of family. You're greeted at the door with an obnoxious and gleeful 'HEYYY!!' from Jordan, who is DEFINITELY a morning person. (I am not.) The people who frequent there are of all ages, shapes, sizes, and fitness backgrounds. I felt heard when I spoke to them of my goals for personal training. I see results, I receive a TON of positive encouragement. It's a place where anyone can go and feel comfortable working out. The hardest part for me was walking in for my first meeting, and making the leap to go, and I'm so glad I did. I've never looked forward to working out, I've hated it my entire life and it ALWAYS felt like a punishment. Now, I'm crushing PRs, I'm strong, I'm more confident and I owe it all to the Core Progression team. Seriously. I never thought I would walk into a gym with a smile on my face, but here I am, roughly four months into it and I am so thankful for it. I work out with "Jon" once a week, we're working on keeping things on my body mostly tight and toned. Jon has a real passion for fitness and it shows. He's really great at making you feel comfortable and is a great motivator, even whe your feeling a little lazya If your having any doubts Jon has also trained the last 3 winning Ms. Colorado's including this yrs 2011 Marybell. Another great thing about the gym is that no membership is required and they offer a variety of classes you can check out on their website. I started going to Core Progression in April of this year. I should start by saying I was a little overweight and a lot out of shape. I had never worked out at a gym or with a trainer but knew I needed help to figure out how to get healthy. I saw their entry on Yelp and called. Jon, the owner, took my call and listened to what I wanted, not a weight goal, or a ripped physique but to just be healthy. I came in and immediately was put at ease, in this day and age when you can sign up for a service with no commitment that's a win. Jon puts his own skin in the game for your business. Now to what I have experienced: first Jon is awesome, I have never felt like I had to fit his program, but rather he has tailored my routine to fit my needs. The nutritional training has been just as good with Jon also willing to provide ideas, and if you have never made this commitment, you'll soon understand this is the hardest and most important part. In April of this year I was 245 lbs and almost 40% body fat. I'm now down to 2-5 lbs and about 25% body fat. Those are just numbers though, I feel great, in no longer tired or sick easily, I'm active and I feel better now in my mid 40s than I did in my 20s. Jon and Core Progression has been the best step, allowing this journey of wanting to be in shape and healthy obtainable and actually keeping it fun. You should definitely check them out! read more

I started going to Core Progression at the end of 2016. At the time I lead a sedentary lifestyle, had crippling back pain and zero experience lifting weights. Core Progression literally changed my life. Now I am strong, in the best shape of my life and my back pain is essentially gone. I have enjoyed the challenge and it has been very successful for me. I have met the goals that were set for the challenge and am very excited about the results. The nutritional program was great and work very well was never hungry or felt like I was missing anything. The workout classes were very well taught and structured to each person limits, I had knee replacement surgery almost 4 years ago and the coaches had replacement exercises that still kept you in the group. Kyle was one of my main coaches and he was great. Very encouraging all through the class, not just to me but to each person in the class. So this place is pretty badass. I have been with the gym for 7 months now and have learned more about my body than I have my whole life. I wasn't ever a big guy or overweight. I did, however, have some stomach fat I wasn't happy with. I also wasn't a person to care for myself like I have been for the last 7 months. Although I did eat mostly healthy! Being set up with strength and conditioning coach Johnny has truly changed my life. I have almost achieved what I thought my stomach should look like and that's thanks to Johnny at Core Progression. Core progression is the best personal training gym around that I have experienced. All of the trainers are knowledgeable and work very hard to ensure you meet your personal fitness goals as well as creating better habits. I have used Jon for training for over four years now. When I started, my goals were to slim up and learn how to properly improve my strength and lifting. Thru Jon's expertise in training and diet, I lost fat, gained muscle and reduced the pain in my knees. Over time my goals have changed, and Jon has the talent to adjust for my new goals which are now tailored for Scottish Athletics. I keep going back because I continue to see positive results and Jon's positive attitude. Great gym, great attitude, great results. It doesn't hurt that there's an on-site massage therapist. I guess if I have to leave 1 star I will. This place is a fucking joke! I took a tour and the guy pressured me so bad to sign up so I did. Thing is, I was 4 weeks out of a back surgery so my doctor said hell no and wrote them a letter... Which they said was all they needed. They emailed me back and said oh that's not going to work, it has to be on letterhead paper. Well the rest is my fault for not following up to get them that but I did argue it and they stood their ground for the fucking letterhead paper. Since then I've had several medical things go wrong. I'm at a doctors at least twice a month. I can barely walk some days. And then I get served with a letter that they're sueing me for over 4k and all I did was take a fucking tour! They won three lawsuit bc I didn't go... Again, my fault, but that's not the point. Point is... They have the audacity to sue someone for 4k that was in their building for 30 minutes. Mind you again... The fucking guy wouldn't let me leave until I called my husband and put him on speaker phone... Then actually said he wanted to talk to him and pressured my husband too!!! Worse than any car salesman. Makes me wonder how many other people they've done this too... But they're fucking douches and they can ask go fuck themselves for all I care. I walk around in a back brace 80% of the time, they just found a lump in my breast, hip replacement surgery is being talked about...I'm pretty messed up... And they want $4k+ for me being pressured into joining and being in their building for 30 fucking minutes. Real nice fucking company. read more

Core Progression is a gym that I actually look forward to go to. I tried many different workouts but I didn't feel like any of them were the right fit for me. This is the first gym that I stayed committed to. I started this gym not knowing anything about working work and my trainer Eric Ellenwood worked with me and helped me get stronger and more confident. He pushed me and encouraged me in every work out. He always asks me if there is anything more he can help me with and even gave me great advice on nutrition. I feel stronger than ever. I've been working out with trainer Erica Clarkson for over a year now and have been able to see a total body transformation in that time. I wanted to tone up when I met Erica and all the other trainers I interviewed told me I'd never lose the weight in pounds if I wanted to gain muscle because I was a girl and we were supposed to have belly fat etc (enter excuse here)...Erica enthusiastically and confidently told me we could reach my goals and we did. I've lost over 12 pounds since we began and countless inches (She has evidence in embarrassing pics to prove it). I fit back into all of my old clothes and I have never felt so fit and healthy--I no longer calculate what to wear to hide my flab because everything in my closet fits! That's an amazing feeling! . Erica helped me exceed my own expectations, pushed me past what I thought was my limit, and helped me re-shape my body into something I am proud of. I have gained nutrition education from Erica to maintain my weight and have been able to apply new healthy eating habits. Erica is a great trainer who is exceptionally supportive of each individual client's personal goals. Erica is very well educated and understands the science behind our physical health which makes her remarkably valuable. She also is an absolute social butterfly, approachable, positive and exceedingly welcoming. Core progression as a gym is inspiring to work out in, it is not overly crowded, everyone I have met is friendly both staff and client, there are no overpowering gym egos strutting around, they post fun weekly challenges to try, and they offer every piece of equipment imaginable so you can train with the items you are most comfortable with. We never have a boring work out, there are endless training options to utilize. Be very weary of this company. They have newer managment who has Started to pull the old gym scam of sorry we didn't get notice , even though you gave notice to their staff 32 days before your last seasson. They have kept charging our credit card for the past two momths after for 488.50, and refused to refund. Per the terms our our agreement we gave notice to our trainer yet of course they claim shes not the proper person to give notice too. Shes their employee, if it had to be given to someone then she had a duty to tell us so. Now we are having to get our attorney involved. read more

I work out with Jon once or twice a week. He keeps me on my toes (sometimes literally) and targets areas that are important to me. There is always a warm-up and some stretching. He's got plenty of machines in his gym but we tend to use a lot of free-weights. He watches to make sure that you have the right form for each exercise and is very knowledgeable about anatomy and physiology. Jon is the owner and only hires the best trainers. I've also worked out with Sean and he too is very knowledgeable. I'm always given exercises that I can do at home with some weights or bands. Although I like to go to the gym, you do not need a gym membership when you are getting trained at Core Progression. They also have a very talented massage therapist, Rollie, as well as Dr. David Newton, a chiropractor. This is not your typical chiropractor. He doesn't just crack you and send you on your way. He evaluates any areas of pain and again uses exercises and other methods to correct problem areas. All the trainers here are professional and do their jobs well. I highly recommend Core Progression and all of the staff that I've observed. read more

My concern with Core Progression is the lack of truth in advertising. To see the pictures posted for this company, one would believe that it is a clean and virtually new facility. Far from the truth. The place is covered with dust and it appears that it has not been thoroughly cleaned in quite a long time. This leads me to question that the equipment maintenance is being done as well. read more

Core Progression is wonderful! I have been seeing Jon Cerf for a year and I couldn't be more thrilled about the results that I have experienced. I have never felt like I was on a diet or changing my lifestyle completely and I think that's the beauty of the program that I was started at Core Progression. I was given a starting point of goals for workouts, eating, and basic necessities for daily living. I noticed a great change at first in energy levels, work production, and mood change. I came in at a "healthy" range of body fat but knew that I wanted to tone up and feel better. The great thing about my program was it wasn't fast results and then fast disappearance of results. The results were a progression and is not a lifestyle that I am able to maintain with ease. I have lost close to 15% body fat and the change is dramatic in comparison to when I started. Another great thing about Core Progression is the affordable training and the fact that I don't feel the pressure to go multiple times a week. Core Progression is terrible business to get involved with. I train at the Centennial facility and have for over a year. I showed up for my training session on a Monday at 630 and there was not ONE piece of equipment in the gym. Over the weekend I guess they decided that my trainer could train me with one broken dumb bell and two 45lbs plates. There was no notice or anything. Core progression seems to care more about the money coming in than the quality of care their clients receive. Equipment has been broken and not replaced, guess we pay our money, and it is top dollar, to use broken or substandard equipment. The HVAC unit has been out for about 2 months and not fixed. I worked out in the facility one day and it was 55 degrees in the gym and to this day the thermostat is still is not fixed. My trainer being as good as he is is the only reason I kept going, and he had nothing to do with Core Progression other than renting the gym space from them. I would not give Core Progression any of my hard earned money. The company does not care about its clients or its trainers, only thing Core Progression cares about is its owners pockets. read more

I met Jon a few months ago through soccer and got to know him as a good friend. He offered to personal train me and it was one of the best experiences I've had with a personal trainer. Jon is extremely knowledgeable, super supportive, not condescending, and made me feel comfortable in an environment I was unfamiliar with. I recommend this gym to anyone, especially those who don't know where to start. Jon has such a great personality and can make you laugh while he is whipping your butt into shape! I work out with Kaleigh, and I cannot say enough about her. Every work out is challenging, interesting, and most of the time I have no idea that our hour is up. She keeps me focused and pushes me. Most important to me she is there watching every move to make sure its done safely and correctly so that I get every ounce of awesome from my work outs. I've been a client at Core Progression since August 2014. I initially came because I wanted to lose a little bit of weight before my wedding that was 8 weeks later. With most workouts I've tried over the last 20 years of my life, I just assumed that I'd do it for a little while but never imagined I'd ever WANT to stick with it. I never have stuck with any fitness program before, so why would this be different. Wow, is it ever different. Fast forward almost 2 years now and I can't imagine going anywhere else let alone not working out at all. It's part of me now. In the beginning I would find every reason to not go workout. Too busy, too tired, or honestly just lazy. Now everything I have to do gets planned AROUND my workouts - I rarely have to miss a session for a good reason because I want my work out. I am the strongest I've ever been in my life, I feel better, look better and over all just want to be better. I am slowly seeing what the body is capable of and it's all because of the team at Core Progression.
