Before I began stretching regularly, I didn't really know what I was missing. Stretching was something that I had been thinking about as I didn't feel as flexible as I should be as my job was very sedentary and I was feeling pain in my lower back and legs.
The first few times I stretched, I felt a bit awkward. It felt good but also a little humbling--my body wasn't as limber as I'd hoped it would be. However, as I incorporated stretching into my routine, soon my pain greatly subsided and I have more energy. I started to notice improvements in my flexibility especially during hikes and pickleball.
I have been seeing Courtney at NV Stretch for the past few months and she is awesome. She is very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional The sessions are customized for me and I am always amazed at the continuous progress I am making. If I had to pick one thing I love most about stretching, is that it is like having a mini vacation.
I have been recommending stretching to all my friends as even if you don't feel like you need it--stretching can be a preventative tool. It doesn't matter your age or fitness level; there's a way to make stretching work for you. It's something that can fit into even the busiest schedules, and the rewards far outweigh the time investment. read more
