The service is bar-like (underwhelming) but a nice margarita and delicious quesadilla make the dining experience well worth the trip. My husband, daughter and I ducked in for an early dinner, in time to save $5 per margarita during happy hour. (Frozen drinks aren't included.) While happy hour offerings aren't extensive, the discount includes weekends. Tacos are ordered a la carte with a selection for omnivores and vegetarians. We each ordered three, mine being crispy Brussels sprouts (excellent), fried shrimp (very good) and chopped meat (ok). If you want flour tortillas, you're out of luck, unless you order a quesadilla. Ok I totally get the hype about this place now! The best spot to brunch and hang with friends. The drinks are delicious and I was excited that they offered a mixed frozen margarita and sangria combo. Came here for dinner on a Friday night, last minute, and fortunately we were able to get a table! It was pretty busy, so I would recommend reservations - we were fortunate in that our table, though initially only held for an hour given other parties, was ours for two-ish hours or more! We shared a large nachos order among 4 people and otherwise each got a mix of happy hour mini tacos or tacos off the main menu. Portion-wise, I would say 2-3 regular tacos are probably plenty for one person. Overall, the food was decent - not necessarily outstanding but very good for a quick, last-minute meal. Superb takeout option for our stay nearby. Sometimes you just need some darn fine tacos and Street Taco is there for the need. They were fast, accurate, and convenient. Two of us went and we agreed blackened fish is the best by far, but there is no wrong option: all the other ones we had were quite good too, but just not quite up to that level of excellence. We also got chips and salsa and the churro donuts - they're good, but the reason to go here is the tacos. I've always loved Street Taco because they're so accommodating and the service is so friendly, even to my rowdy friend group. I also love the food, especially the quesadillas and tacos. Today was my first time ordering delivery and I have to say I felt so cared for. I'm allergic to corn and noted that in the notes so I could have flour tortillas for my tacos, but turns out they don't have taco sized flour shells, BUT they ripped them to make them work. The restaurant is LOUD at least on a Friday night. The tacos I had (fried shrimp, blackened fish) were both fine but not great. The shrimp one had what tasted like an out of the bottle chili sauce. Tortillas were a bit bland. The shrimp and fish itself were underwhelming - not super generous portion of shrimp, fish had sort of nondescript smoky flavor. The guacamole could have used more in it - it seemed to be missing tomato, onion, lime, etc. and really was just seasoned avocado with cilantro. I stopped ordering from here and I guess it was for good reason. Literally a year ago I got cold, disappointing food, and tonight I ordered three tacos with the corn on the cobs. Food is literally cold to the touch which I don't understand because delivery guy had a car...One taco is completely destroyed and it's fallen apart from the bottom so I can't really eat it properly without eating it with a fork and knife.
