Northwest Total Truck Accessories

The BEST Customer Service and respect I've experienced in a long time!…read more After spending over $600 at another shop trying to improve the headlight visibility on my Ford Flex, I was still unable to safely drive at night. My brother encouraged me to try taking my problem to NW Total Truck and Accessories as he had had nothing but good experiences with them. I have to admit I was a little intimidated to take my car into this "Man Candy Store", but when I arrived, I was promptly greeted by the SUPER FRIENDLY Travis who was working the front counter. After telling Travis about my dim $600 headlights, he went out to my car and looked under the hood. He explained that there are different headlights ($99.00 pair) that may provide better visibility, but upon further examination he discovered that the previous shop had incorrectly installed my new headlights. Not only did Travis make the necessary adjustments in 90-degree heat, he texted me later that night to ensure that the headlights were working properly and providing the necessary illumination to safely drive at night. I'm delighted that the adjustments Travis made to my existing headlights solved my problem! Even better was that Travis treated this 60- year old woman with respect and did not try and sell me something I didn't need. Travis did not even charge me for his time trouble shooting the problem and making the headlight adjustments the other shop failed to do properly. His extraordinary customer service and knowledge gave me faith again that there are good and honest shops out there. I happily give NW Total Truck and Accessories a 5-star rating.

So I paid $300 to get them and they burned out a month after they installed them. And they wouldn't even partially refund me. Even though he told me that if they have any issues I can come back. All travis wanted to do was sell me more parts. Go somewhere else, these guys could care less if their products suck. Just look at the chevy thats in front of the store, the suspension was ripped out from underneath the truck and its just sitting on the frame. Im sure that was another happy customer. That should have been my first clue not to use these guys.

They use customer supplied parts, which is really a nice option. Most shops I go to do not (for good reason it can be a PIA). I had a front anti rock installed (CSP) and I had the wrong hardware, they corrected the hardware and the Jeep flexes out perfectly. They also replaced the front ball joints. Appreciated the quick service. Many shops have a hard time working with after market lifted and modified vehicles/parts. Khaotik did a great job for me. They understand 4x4s that work for a living.

To their credit, a Khaotik employee admitted it in writing within days, and the shop said they'd cover the repair. Working from that, I gave them a preliminary number -- $1,400, averaged off two quick visual estimates. They then asked me to get a finalized estimate, so I did. Later that month they put it in writing that they would cover the cost of the repair. The finalized estimate came back just under $2,000, because an actual inspection turned up work no walkaround was going to find. They then declined to pay the finalized estimate they had requested, and sent a check for the preliminary figure instead. I declined the check. The rest of the job had its own problems: wrong bracket kit ordered after I supplied the correct part links, rear fender liners never installed, front liners installed wrong, an agreed tire rotation skipped, and a late return that cost me rideshare fares. I sued in small claims. I didn't appear at the mediation and the case was dismissed, and I've decided not to take it any further -- they weren't going to pay what was agreed, and it stopped being worth the effort. As a result, I'm out $2k on this in damages. I'm not asking them for anything. Posting because I'd have wanted to read it first.
