My laptop was suffering from a seemingly unknown virus that encrypted my files. Being extremely distraught, I sought counsel from one of my pals and inquired as to if they had ever encountered this supposed ransomware situation in the past. They told me they had not, but, mentioned that they have frequented MJP for years and have always had the best of luck. As this data was extremely vital, I proceeded to contact their office at roughly 6:15 in the post meridiem, which was outside their normal operating business hours. Naturally I was expecting to leave a voicemail in a chain of computerized menus. Surprisingly, a human had answered the call as opposed to a robotic-like recording. I relayed to them my dire situation at hand, and they asked me to bring it in. Also to my utter surprise they also claimed they would wait for me to arrive that very evening. I was in sheer disbelief as most establishments would not answer after hours calls, let alone wait for an individual. Their offices are located in close proximity to the Ventura Auto Mall, which took about 20 minutes for me to arrive to by way of car. And true to their word, they (more than one tech) were anxiously awaiting my arrival seemingly with open arms. They thoroughly discussed my specific situation and claimed they would alert me of their findings as well as inform me as to the resolution options available via telephone within a single day. They didn't call the next day. I received a telephone call from the good folks at MJP a mere two hours later. Shockingly one of their techs had remained in the office in the wee hours of the evening to work on it. He had stated that they were indeed able to retrieve a large number of files, and prevented the infection from spreading to the remainder of my data. Unfortunately, not all of my content was recovered (as appears to be the case with these ransomwares, quite nasty indeed), though most of the important files were. They even asked if I had so desired to come back and pick it up that very same eve, but I let them know that the next day would be more than acceptable and I thanked them graciously for the tireless efforts. When I went in the following day, they charged me significantly less than I had expected, considering they remained after hours to complete the task. Needless to say, I was very satisfied throughout the process/experience, and they even took the time to discuss backup practices with me that would help prevent similar future attacks.

A few days later, he called to say it was done. HE CAME BACK TO MY HOUSE and delivered my newly repaired (and cleaned up!) laser printer in TOP SHAPE. WHAT AMAZING SERVICE!! I don't know of ANY business that makes house calls anymore (except plumbers and they charge WAY more than Mike did!). I was VERY impressed. Excellent customer service. No hassles at all.
