Have you ever bought sneakers at a bar?! No? Well me either lol until tonight! My friends and I were randomly walking from a winery in downtown Concord, when we noticed this sneaker store that was still open after 9 PM. While asking each other "what is this place?", a gentleman outside convinced us that it was a good bar with plenty of shots. We looked at each other like "say less"! We walked in and we were greeted by the owners, Jen and Jeff. Jen explained to us that they had a menu of over 100 different types of shots for $5!!! But honestly, I never got a drink lol Instead my friend started asking Jeff about the sneakers in the front of the store. Jeff told us that he had ran 27 marathons, and he knew a good running shoe. It was like talking to a physical therapist! My friend and I both have some foot issues, and were looking for the perfect shoe to work out. He talked us into trying on two pairs of shoes each, and he even gave us dry fit socks for free. We laughed with Jeff about everything from tattoos, to how you can spot swingers (pineapples IYKYK). He may or may not have talked my friend into testing out a foam roller on the floor of the store . All in all, Streakers is definitely a good, Hometown bar with amazing staff who are both passionate about people and running. I'll definitely be going back to get a shot at some point lol but until then, happy feet ‍

The collard greens and fries are perfect sides. The short rib sandwich is outstanding. They have delicious cocktails and a huge selection of beer & wine. I tried a sunset sangria and it was absolutely refreshing! The desserts are good too. I've had the sticky cake with vanilla bean ice cream and all I can say is that I was tempted to order a second helping! The ambience is nice, not too noisy(although it's usually full of diners) it's rustic yet upscale with high tops, booths and tables. Nice for a date night, ladies night or large group. They also have outdoor dining with lovely umbrella covered tables. The service was great! Our servers were attentive and checked on us several times during our meal to make sure we were enjoying our experience.

The restaurant is located inside a big shopping plaza area but inside it was beautiful and cozy. 4 stars instead of 5 because they sat me in a booth under a leaky AC Roof and put a rag there to absorb the leak and said I can wipe it before I scoot out ....weird...maybe I wouldn't have minded if they offered something like free dessert or beer, something as a reward to deal with something I shouldn't have had to deal with.

We decided on the their appetizer sampler just to get a feel for their food, and it wasn't a great feel. The wings were burnt, Maybe that's their "style" but it didn't work. They were so dry. The shrooms had too much breading and were also overcooked, thought at least not burnt. The mozzarella sticks were actually decent. The pretzels was good, but some awful beer cheese. I had two of their IPA's and I did enjoy those. Unfortunately not someplace I'd go back to unless someone assured me it was better

Indeed, if the cold North runs through you veins, you'll find house beer and mead aplenty to wet your whistle in an atmosphere that while housed in a modern shopping center, is still somehow appropos. Unfortunately, I had driving to do, so alcohol wasn't in the cards, but the menu appealed to us. We needed some comfort food, so we ended up with an appetizer sampler that included a baked pretzel, jalapeno poppers (instead of the fried ravioli that I guess they were out of), buffalo wings, and mozz sticks. We also got a pizza from the current specials, the spicy hawaiin. We like pineapple on pizza, and definitely prefer pepperoni to ham, and this also included jalapenos... so it sounded right up our alley. FYI, there are no waiters, you simply order at the bar, and they give you a numbered buzzer to pick up your food when ready. I greatly prefer this way of doing things honestly. For the food, honestly... a mixed bag, hence the one star off. The pretzel was great, probably the best of the bunch. Jalapeno poppers were nice and large, good flavor balance of cream cheese and jalapeno. Mozz sticks were mozz sticks. We didn't care for the wings. For one, they weren't tossed in the buffalo sauce, it was just poured over the top, and they also were a tad dry... maybe fried too long. The pizza was a letdown, especially since other reviews were so complimentary of it. The slices were very floppy, it maybe could have used a couple minutes more. The cheese had a nice flavor, but the sauce was not either of our preference. Could have used more pineapple, less jalapeno to balance the bites. Overall, we didn't finish it, and didn't take the leftovers for later. It could just be our personal tastes, so go and decide for yourself. Outside of food, it was trivia night, and people were having a great time. We would have taken part if we were staying longer. I think if I lived in the area, I would still come here, and just figure out what food items are the ones to get and which ones aren't. Great atmosphere, friendly bartender and people.

Went with friends to spend the day at Concord Mills to do a little shopping. We decided to try out…read moreMW's Taproom since the mall closed at 6pm. The restaurant was a ghost town on a Sunday evening. Maybe everyone is still eating Thanksgiving leftovers? Since there were 3 of us, we opted for an order of 3 tenders, 3 sliders, and 3 fry flavors. It was definitely enough for us to all share. The tenders were nice and crispy and the sweet chili sauce was good. I picked the Green Flag slider with bacon and pickles, very tasty. The little burger was cooked perfectly. For the fries we went with beer cheese and bacon, MW dusted, and Cajun. The Cajun were the best of the 3. The MW dust is a little on the sweet side which I didn't mind because I was dipping mine in the leftover sweet chili sauce. I was hoping to be able to pick tots as one of the 3 options but it was fries or tots, no mixing. I was also a little disappointed that the entrees options did not come with any sides. Since they were dead, the hostess was also our server. She was sweet. She answered all of our questions with ease. She didn't check back as much as I would have preferred for refills and the check but it wasn't a terrible wait. I think I was just ready to hit the road for the long ride home. They have a serious number of TVs for a sports bar so I'm sure if you are a football fan, you'll be able to watch your game, or better yet, a NASCAR race once the season starts back in February. Overall, decent bar food with plenty of TVs for sports spectators.

My sauced tenders were good. I liked the bacon cheese fries and the dusted fries. Know that sides are extra with the exception of kids meals. We will be back.
