a glass of wine on a mosaic table

A great little wine bar! We were staying overnight near by and happened across them on Friday night. Quite a few glasses (and bottles) available to drink on comfy chairs and couches. A sign said they often have live music. The had a good sized bottle collection for purchase and we were pleasantly surprised by their reasonable prices for many of our favorites. Definitely worth a stop when in Charlotte.

I am a 15+ resident of CLT but a first-time customer, and it was awesome. I don't like a strong oaky finish, so I usually tend to go Italian, but they had a German Resling that was sweet and raident. I had to get a bottle. There are chairs and nooks available to catch up or work. It was such a vibe. I loved that you can relax and people watch with a light snack

Service was fine. The wine choices however were limited. I'd love not to have to drive so far for a better selection when I want wine out but I'm also guessing it suits the local college crowd just fine. Still if you are in the area it's a decent spot to check out.

Stopped by here this past weekend, my first trip here and I loved it! A lot of patio seating outside and really nice areas inside to chill and enjoy drinks. . . They had tons of wine to choose from and some coolers of beers for purchase, but what I loved the most was 5$ flights, I mean you can't beat that. They had great beers on draft to choose also, and service was great. . . If your looking for a good spot to relax and chill and enjoy the beautiful weekend, this is it.

Charming little wine shop by the lake. Stopped by and enjoyed a bottle of wine on the patio outside. The service was warm and friendly and a great selection of wines. I believe they even offer flight options as well.

Does this location buy rare/vintage wine? I have a few bottles that I inherited that I am looking to get off my hands.

    No they dont

    Does Wine Vault serve food?

They have some snacks (chips, cheeses, small desserts) but allow costumers to carry in whatever they want. The plaza that Wine Vault is located in has lots of take out options so customers often bring take out to Wine Vault.

The ABC Stores has promotional gift with purchases if the company offers them and limited edition specialty offerings. This particular location has a great gin aisle. Phew, this place was hard to find. I was tearing down WT Harris at a mind-bending 40 mph (yay,…read moretraffic) and didn't see it in time. Not my fault though, trees have gone up in front of the distinctive red-and-white ABC Store sign so it isn't visible until you have passed the turn-off. Sneaky. I doubled back through a strip mall and, with a few questionably legal detours, found my way back to the store. I was glad to see that it hasn't been renovated into one of those depressingly cheerful corporate boxes. I enjoy metal bars and neon signs in my liquor store windows. It feels much more authentic. So I saunter in, supercool. Nod to the clerk, "Ma'am" . But she calls me "sweety"; my supercool bubble is burst. If I'd been close enough she would have pinched my cheeks. I fumbled around the store for a few minutes, trying to remember what I had wanted. She managed to call me sweety another half dozen times, tearing down my manly ego with each motherly drawl. Finally, reduced to a mere shell of a man, I dragged my purchases across her counter and skedaddled. 4 stars for the human encounter. No demonizing preacher here, like at other ABC stores, hatefully judging my purchases. This woman obviously enjoyed a touch of the giggle water from time to time. I appreciate that.

I'll start with the good. We purchased Premier Parking, and so parking was a breeze. That was definitely worth the upgrade. The restrooms were clean and well-stocked, too. Food and drinks were expectedly expensive, but I didn't like that they only served water from Liquid Death, which is served in a soda can that you can't cover. Definitely bring an empty water bottle (or Yeti or similar stainless bottle) to use their water filling stations and avoid the cost of buying water. We were on the left side of the covered seating area, near the stage. My biggest issues with our seats were - 1. Seating on the far left side doesn't give a good view of the stage. 2. Men and women alike were standing up dancing throughout the show, blocking our view. We didn't pay this much to have to watch the entire show on one of their TV screens. 3. People were smoking both cigarettes and pot in the covered seating area. I'm very sensitive to smoke, and this really bothered me. The staff were all milling about, and did nothing to stop this behavior. We much prefer seeing shows at Knight Theater to PNC. The shows there are definitely smaller bands, but the comfort is far better. We've had obscured views from standing guests at Knight Theater, too, but the lack of smoking enforcement at PNC was a deal-breaker for me.
