Their Mexicali is my all time fav now!!
Amanda P.

Been coming here since I was a kid and quality of pizza is still as amazing as I remember! Good amount of games for the kids to keep them occupied while the parents enjoy some adult bevvys. The only negative thing I could say is, please invest in better prizes!! Clearly from dollar tree or worse :(

Modelo schooner

Pizza crust crunchy lots of toppings games for kids multiple televisions and on Tuesdays on your entire order you get a discount. I definitely recommend this place. First time came with family came back a second time with friends and family.

Spaghetti and meatballs... they forgot the sauce??
Diane M.

We love Straw Hat pizza. The spaghetti and meatballs, not so much It used to be great! What happened? Did you just *forget* to put the sauce on it? There was a "little" sauce around each meatball, but that was it! Very disappointing meal.

Train!!!!
Jesse A.

Went here to get pizza and wings yesterday since I have never been here at all even though I am always in the area. The pizza was decent and it was lacking crust. The wings however were good. They moist and small. The interior is pretty outdated but the train that circles the dining area is a cute touch. There is also a small arcade for the kids to play with.

Game room

We enjoyed lunch here today. The pizzas were fresh and tasty. The customer service was outstanding! Employees are friendly and knowledgeable. The entire restaurant including the restroom was immaculate. The prices are fair and you get a good amount of food. The lunch specials are 7 days a week. There are video games to play and prizes to win.

One thing I noticed immediately was how deceptive the space is from the outside. You walk in thinking you're stepping into a small Italian bistro, and then it just keeps unfolding room after room until you realize you're actually in a large, incredibly lively space. Each room we passed through seemed to gain even more energy. There seemed to be birthday dinners, family gatherings, and just large groups of friends celebrating everywhere, and the whole restaurant had a genuinely festive feel without feeling overly loud or chaotic. Service was fantastic. Our waitress felt less like restaurant service and more like a friend helping the whole table have a good night. Everything flowed really naturally. Timing was great. Drinks stayed full. Plates never piled up, and even little moments that could have felt imperfect somehow just added to the warmth of the experience. We ordered family style for the table and honestly every single thing disappeared. The Burrina pizza and Romana pizza were both excellent. The Caesar salad was fresh and balanced. The lasagna was a hit, and we also ordered a white pasta with fennel sausage that nobody could stop eating. We even had family visiting from Ecuador with us, and everyone cleaned their plates and had a great time. We skipped dessert because we had cake waiting at home, but judging by the number of tiramisus passing by our table, we may have made a tactical error there. The only real challenge is parking. Broadway parking is Broadway parking, and locals already know the situation near the beach can get rough quickly. If you live nearby, I'd honestly recommend Ubering or walking if possible. This immediately went onto my shortlist for large group dinners in Long Beach.

This will certainly be our last visit to La Parolaccia. My…read morewife and I have been coming here 4-5 times a year since 2013, often with friends. While it was never my personal favorite, I continued going because my wife enjoyed it. Unfortunately, our experience on Sunday, May 3, 2026 definitively closed that chapter. We arrived around 5:45 pm, at a time when the restaurant was clearly not busy. A young gentleman at reception greeted us warmly and was about to seat us, but was abruptly interrupted by a woman who directed us--without explanation--to sit along the wall. We waited there for about 10 minutes, despite a clearly prepared table sitting ready just a few feet away. When we were finally seated, it was at that very table next to the reception desk. Throughout the interaction, the woman showed no courtesy--no smile, no "please," no acknowledgment, and no "thank you for waiting." After years of patronage, this level of indifference was disappointing enough to ensure we won't be returning.

We ended the night with a chocolate and hazelnut gelato. Both were rich in flavors! Our wonderful server also brought out two deep friend bread filled with Nutella and that took me into a ratatouille moment! Definitely can't eat more than one if you're watching your intake. Overall the restaurant looked beautiful on the outside and cozy on the inside! Definitely will be back!

Eggplant Parm- one of my favorites when I go out for Italian food. Lovely, thin slices of tender eggplant over a generous bed of spaghetti. Enough to enjoy and enough for lunch tomorrow. Very good! Hubbie ordered the portobello stuffed ravioli in a creamy marinara sauce. I stabbed one quickly before he could jump in. He loves mushrooms. He loved it as did I. And he's not a pasta guy (or rice for that matter). I was surprised he put such a dent in the dish. Terramasu (sorry for the spelling) for dessert! So smooth! I took most of it home I was so full after such a great dinner. It's after 11pm now and I couldn't sleep without finishing it off. Domenico's has been in Belmont Shores for decades and the atmosphere is quaint, traditional decor with private booths. The lasagna is very good, although it is made with ricotta cheese like most Italian restaurants do in the US. It is a large portion and you could probably share it with a friend. The apple - cranberry - walnut salad is large and excellent. Great combination of flavors, and quite satisfying. Overall, it is nice to go to an old school Italian restaurant for a change. The menu is concise and offers a good variety of appetizers, pizzas, and pastas and not screwing up by trying to offer way too many dishes as some places do. Good quality food prepared with care, and attentive staff. I reserved my 5 stars for Eatalian, but Delmonico's is an excellent 2nd.

I loved the upscale New York atmosphere Our lovely waiter, Scott immediately greeted us. I was so happy we had him. He was so knowledgeable about the menu, the building, making small talk and etc. when I asked what drink he recommended he said they have a full bar, but he did say the espresso martini. I told him that's my go to drink but I can't really do caffeine. So Scott had it made decaf. This was a life saver and it was the first time a waiter ever asked if I wanted it decaf We already knew what we came for. We wanted their tomahawk. This is where my mother and I usually have beef with each other (yes, a steak joke). Because we each want it cooked a different way. But it came out nicely done, we were both happy. Scott definitely knew what to tell the chef about how we wanted it cooked so we were both happy The drinks I ordered came out extremely fast Both drinks were amazing -cosmopolitan -espresso martini (decaf) The- BISTECCA DI TOMAHAWK Which is a Grilled 52 oz Bone In Ribeye Steak, Italian Chimichurri Sauce, Roasted Carrots and Homemade Spaghetti Romana (the pasta it came with was absolutely amazing) And, as far as tomahawks go, this was very reasonable price wise. Also, it came with pasta and carrots. Most places just sell the steak by itself and you have to pay for sides -they brought out a complimentary bread basket -we also ordered a side of broccoli -we did not order dessert, but they did bring out a complimentary birthday dessert The service was great The building is beautiful The atmosphere was great The food was amazing Overall, I would come back, but I would reserve it for special occasions.
