Strangeways is consistently amazing! I first had Strangeways at their Richmond location back in 2016. So moving back to this area and discovering they had a location closer to my new home was exciting. My partner loves lagers and I like fruity "girly" beers. Strange has enough section to suit both our preferences. The service is great, and the bar tenders are personable and knowledgeable. There's plenty of seating and an outdoor area. An absolute gem to add to the shops at High St.

Great beer selection (along with some wine and cider). Decent food / snack menu as well. For most of the time we were there, however, there was only one person working, so there was a bit of a wait. Toilet in women's restroom didn't flush. Nice outdoor seating area in warmer weather.

Strangeways Brewing in Williamsburg earns a solid 4 stars for its vibrant atmosphere and creative events. The recent "Books & Brews" adult book fair on May 31 was a standout--combining local authors, vintage book vendors, and a nostalgic Scholastic Book Fair vibe with craft beer. With friendly staff and a spacious, eclectic setting, Strangeways continues to be a top spot for unique experiences in Williamsburg.

Great little brewery. Excellent selection of brews and friendly service. Murder Hornet definitely a top IPA.

I've been to the Richmond location as well. This location is in a shopping center and much more modern. The inside is colorful, open spaced and lots of cool wild game mounts on the walls. The beer menu is large with lots of cool flavors. The lucky charms sour is soo cool and they put actual cereal on top. There's an imperial version as well.

Alright this gets 3 stars because the beers are not good! Sampled 6 of them and only one was decent. They do have a huge beer list but maybe narrow it down a bit and focus on making the beers better. The three stars are for good service and the venue is nice and large. Their outside area is nice and they even have live music occasionally on the weekends. You can bring in food from outside places to eat.

BLUF: great variety, worth a stop. Bring friends. Grab some beer to go! Excellent variety of beers (Berliner Weiss was my favorite), friendly and knowledgeable staff, relaxed (and strange, but in a good way) vibe. Flights come with 4-10 5.5 oz pours. Come with friends and order a variety so you can try many different things.

I don't write enough reviews, but believe me when I say this place is amazing! The bartender was very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. I loved the atmosphere of the brewery as well. Their swag is amazing, I've never seen a brewery that sells spill mats, but I'm going to have to order one online soon. Can't go wrong with tortilla chips and nacho cheese; though I didn't enjoy the mozzarella sticks, the rest of the table did. Every beer I tried was amazing and their flights are so cool. My friend bought me a growler of the Cherry Ambrose Belgian Quadrupel, probably the best beer I've ever had (I am writing this with a glass in my hand).

Very cool open brewery in Williamsburg. Located near a ton of shopping and food options. This brewery offers flights and single serve beers. Complimentary peanuts with purchase! The we went on a Saturday during lunch (12:30pm). It was quiet with only a few patrons. Loved the openness of the space. They have a small food menus available. Loved the large selection of beer and seltzer.

I've always loved going to Strangeways when I would visit Richmond, so when I heard they were opening up here, I was pumped! Their location is a great spot with tons of outdoor and indoor seating options. They have A TON of beer selections as well as wine, so something for everyone! I love the vibe and there is a ton of merch to purchase. The only downside (I'd give 4.5 stars if possible) is how noisy it gets inside. It is hard to have a conversation or even order if it's busy of there's a band playing. But, like I said, there are so many outdoor seating options. Go and enjoy! Cheers!

Beer flights can include 3-10 beers of your choosing.

The vibe here is not great it's usually pretty empty. I also don't like how expensive it is.

    Do they serve food?

Limited food on site. There are giant pretzels, chips, nachos and cheese, and nut mixes. Williamsburg city will not allow food trucks within city limits. Too many brick and mortar restaurants do not want food trucks in the city. However, there are…

Dominion Dogs was absolutely worth the stop. We tried several items, including the German Dog, corn…read moredog, and pickle fries, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The German Dog had a great combination of sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard, with plenty of topping in every bite. The corn dog was golden and crisp on the outside with a juicy hot dog inside. The real surprise was the pickle fries. They were crunchy, tangy, well seasoned, and especially good with the dipping sauce. The menu has a lot of creative choices beyond ordinary hot dogs, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. The restaurant also has a welcoming, family-owned feel that makes the experience even better. A fun local spot with great food and plenty of personality. We would definitely return and try more of the menu.

Let's see how this stop turned out. We were able to get a table during lunch time where there was a good crowd on hand. Since it was the 4th, I expected there would be a few more. The staff was pretty busy taking care of diners and orders ready for takeout. It was a little warm inside, but it wasn't a surprise given the weather was really hot. And there was a fan literally behind is blowing out much needed air. The special they had for the 4th was $2.50 corn dogs and $2.50 PBR beer. We said no to beer, but couldn't resist corn dogs. My order consisted of two of them and a small order of cheese curds. Sophia ordered two corn dogs and a Roadhouse hot dog. This was the first time in a long time I'me had corn dogs so I couldn't resist given the special. And boy did they deliver. I actually started to get full after eating my first one. They were really good and well cooked. And great call to add cheese curds to the meal. Tasted great especially with the sauce. Sophia enjoyed her selections and had leftovers to take home as well. There you have it. Another great lunch for the two of us. We'll be back soon :)

The menu also has so many food options, making it easy to find something for everyone. The food overall was great and very enjoyable. However, I would not recommend the brownie and chocolate sundae dessert. The brownie and cookie were cold and hard, which made the dessert disappointing. On the positive side, the carrot cake was huge and definitely worth sharing -- easily enough for 3-4 people. The service was excellent as well. Our waiter was very attentive throughout the meal and made sure everything was taken care of. Overall, Second Street American delivers great food variety, strong service, and a family-friendly atmosphere, with just a few misses on dessert.
