Local place with killer sandwiches. Get the French Dip or the Reuben. Fries were perfect too. We stopped on a long road trip looking for good lunch, and got there about 30 min before they were closing (at 2 on Tuesdays). The staff were very nice about inviting us in anyway. Stowell's Café in Manomet is a great local spot. The service was super friendly, and our waitress--who makes all the desserts herself--served some of the best sweets I've had in a while. We sat at the newly renovated bar, which looks fantastic, and the seafood sampler was absolutely delicious. A perfect neighborhood place to relax and enjoy good food. read more

Loved the atmosphere. Many locals, including most of the family owned staff. The paninis are outstanding- large and lots of filling. My friend and I had the Riley. So yummy. Only finished half - so filling. The deserts amazing - all homemade. This is a hidden gem. Never knew it was there. Will be back soon! read more

I stopped in for a lunch and had an excellent French dip panini and fries that were perfect. Their fries are hand cut every day and really could not be any better. read more

My family loves coming here every time we are in town. They love the staff, who are so so friendly with everyone (even the chef who will come out and chat every now and again). I especially love the menu and some of the great and unique dishes they make. My favorite is always the egg paninis but everyone loves the scrambles. Jonathan's favorite is my go to and it never fails. Pro tip- always get the home fries because they are dangerously good and add grilled peppers and onions. read more

Breakfast with our family after our morning excursion to Manomet point for sunrise. The service was excellent and so friendly The food was also excellent. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. We had a party of 7 including a 4yr old and a baby, the employees and the local patrons were so nice to the kids. We felt right at home. Thank you for the great breakfast and the free hugs & fist bumps. Y'all made a great day even better! read more

Stowell's Café - The original- pancakes and bacon came on separate plates! This was a lot of food. - Cafes Near Me - Plymouth, Massachusetts

Stowell's Cafe is my go-to place in Plymouth for brunch. I "go for the food and stay for the hugs!" The multi page menu takes quite a few minutes to choose from; which one of the luscious items from a cornucopia of delights do you crave?Whether you want to stay with the usuals of eggs over easy, or venture into "bene's" with a variety of veggies or meats, there's always something delicious to satisfy your palate. The wait staff is beyond friendly and solicitous and if there's something you don't see on the menu, they'll try to come up with a substitute to meet your needs. Best of all is a farewell hug from one of the waitresses who always smiles as if she has the best job in the world. I certainly will be a frequent customer! read more

This place is great. Not only is their corned beef hash the best I've EVER had, hands down, but the fact that when you get served your syrup for your waffles or pancakes, it comes warmed up! Now that is an awesome idea. I do that in my own home, but I've NEVER had that done in any restaurant I've ever been in. All the servers are super friendly too. In fact, you'll get a goodbye hug from one of them (if you so choose), when you go to leave. This place comes with a Two Thumbs Up award....at least from me read more

Great find. Small diner, very limited seating, but warm and comfortable. Had Sandwich and Corn chowder, a bit salty. But Ruben Panini was excellent, and Western Cheeseburger was huge. Crispy fries and Onion rings were a hit. Prices reasonable. Recommend. read more

Jonathan was the best server! Will be back thanks to him! Food was great too! Cant wait to come back

We stopped here because it was quick and cheap and has good reviews. We were in a hurry so we ordered corn chowder and truffle parm fries. We tried one of the apple crisps that are packaged on the counter because the bakery is supposed to be good. Unfortunately all we could taste was flour and sugar. The few apple slices in the cake are so smooshed and irrelevant that you can't even taste them. Big thumbs down for the 'apple' crisp. The bathroom, someone painted over the window and no one ever cut through it so the windows dont open and the bathroom just stinks, foul. The chowder is decent, creamy and very thick, but seems like it has added sugar as well. I could only eat half the bowl. The fries are better than average. Soft but not undercooked, flavorful, good choice for a quick bite. Overall it's OK but that's it. Just OK. Take some better care of your bakery and lay off the sugar, ventilate your bathrooms and maybe you can earn your two stars back. read more

I almost don't want to leave a glowing review because this place is a hidden gem and I want to keep it that way...! BUT, I must say: I absolutely love Stowell's. Their breakfast is great, their dinner is tasty, their desserts are fresh and delicious. Plus, they are the most reasonably priced restaurant that I've come across in a long time. And the cherry on top is that their servers are just the best, whether they're greeting you by name or sending you off with a hug during breakfast. This place is top notch! read more

Great food and value. Waitress was awesome. Male bartender was inattentive. Fresh seafood.

I stopped by their old location to try a breakfast sandwich on a Friday morning. Man, this sandwich put my life in danger as I attempted to eat while driving. It was so good, I did have momentary lapses of understanding the drive was more important than licking my fingers. Since that time, they are moving next to Dunkin and across from Manomet General Store. I will be eating in in future visits! read more

We use a great deal of Restaurant.com coupons when we dine out, whether it be lunch or dinner. We drove some 25 miles to go here on a wintery day. It was so worth it. Just delicious! He had the pulled pork Mac n Cheese and I had the Riley sandwich. Both so yummy. We had a side of onion rings that were to die for. Thin and crunchy and NOT GREASY! Some of the best we ever had! It is a bit out of the way but totally worth the drive. Yumma!! read more

They have the best sandwiches and desserts. They have wonderful main courses as well. They have a full bar now. Everyone is so friendly

Best food ever no matter when you visit. Always clean and the staff is more than accommodating

I've given this place two tries. I typically try for a third, but didn't/wont manage it for multiple reasons. I'm a huge fan of French dips. It's one of the few things you can usually find anywhere that can't be messed up. Both times I've gotten the dip here. My understanding of it is roast beef that's thinly sliced and done, on a hard bread with cheese of some variety. Add a side of Au jus and this is a hit. It nails the bread (I'm actually a fan of a softer bread so it doesn't cut my mouth up), the cheese, and actually tops with sautéed onions which are tasty. Where it gets hairy is the meat. Every time I've gotten it, the beef is pinker than I'm comfortable with. I'm also used to more done beef in my dip, but that's only what I'm used to so take that how you'd like. Taste wise, the sandwich is pretty good. I'm just not 100% on the beef. I saved half and heated it up the next day as leftover, and found the taste to be better on the second eating. Again, personal opinions. People are friendly here and service is quick. I'm sure they have other options that are great on the menu. Definitely a good place in Manomet to eat at. read more

I think I had been to their previous location in the past but it was unremarkable. Today I stopped at their new location which has been home to several places in the past. I was leery as it was 10am on a Saturday and the lot was sparsely filled. Good news was that I got a great parking spot As I entered I noticed that it had been remodeled since one of the previous restaurants and was in good shape I sat at the counter and was warmly greeted by a very lively waitress. She immediately got me coffee and menu. I got a basic ham and eggs. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the ham was a decent slice on a separate plate. The home fries which I was asked whether I wanted anything in them (think Waffle House!) were deep fried small cubes. They were plentiful and tasty. There was nothing wrong with them but I just prefer homemade grilled potatoes. Food was good, price was fair, coffee was decent and plentiful but the service was great read more

Excellent service. On Saturday at 1130am the kitchen switches from breakfast to lunch.
