It's gorgeous & technically a "farm," though right now they're focused on growing only cranberries (no fresh produce available for sale at the moment, but hopefully that comes back soon). Walking in felt like stepping into someone's home, so warm, cozy, and inviting. We ordered a custom breakfast plate and a breakfast burrito, and both were delicious. The burrito was especially good, filling, flavorful, and clearly made with love. The women running the deli were so lovely!! Super attentive and caring without being overbearing. They made us feel welcome and taken care of from the moment we walked in. Special shoutout to the homemade chocolate chip cookie that looked like a brownie!! A perfect treat to take on the road. Went for sandwiches today. Fantastic service. Great sandwiches. Had roast beef with fixings and horseradish sauce. Awesome! Wife and daughter enjoyed their sandwiches too. People there are so nice. They are cash only but are so concerned about making sure you get to eat, they tell you to just pay the next time you are in the area if you are cashless. Who else does that these days?? Total honor system. There is a ATM in the gas station down the road (I used it the very first time I went here, wasn't sure how soon I'd be back in area to make good on my IOU). I work down the street, and have driven by this farm stand outside with a big sign that says "stop here and get your sandwiches for King Richard's Faire" numerous times. I finally stopped in. I am so glad I did. I set the woman behind the counter to making my sandwich, and as she was, I said, you take debit and credit cards right? Wrong. "Cash or check only" Uhoh. This is when she says to me, "I can write you an I.O.U. and you can pay me when you want" WHAT? WHO DOES THAT? Well, thankfully I had my checkbook in the car so all was well. But seriously, WHO DOES THAT? Awesome people, that's who. I was walking around while she was making my sandwich, and was marveling at all the locally made products there, from jerky to honey and jam. As I was doing so I had a great conversation with the woman behind the counter. The food was very good, but a couple of small things about my sandwich: my sub was a little pricey for just vegetables. It came to $8.25 all said and done. And I feel like the pickles were good, but they could have had a stronger taste to them. For some reason I have a feeling that someone makes those as well. The taste of the pickles (and I am a huge dill pickle fan)got lost in the sub. Totally worth your time to stop in here on your way to the Faire or Edaville.
