I would've loved a water refill, but never got one, presumably since we were all drinking alcoholic beverages as well. The private room also has its own bathroom, which is really nice. I ordered the Solstice Sidecar for my drink and it was OK, it was a bit too strong for me. We had some sort of squash salad with cranberries as our starter and a chicken dish for the main, the vegetarian choice was a vegetarian risotto. Everything was good, but I wouldn't say great. Overall, I would come back here when in the area, it was a cute restaurant, but I would of course order from their main menu. Hopefully service is a little quicker in the main dining room.

Our waitress was attentive and friendly, and those two things made the experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, the main course was a major disappointment. The menu described the entrée as "Chicken Under a Brick - Bell & Evans 1/2 bird." When I order a half chicken, I expect to receive half of the bird, including the thigh. Instead, my plate contained a chicken breast, the drumette portion of the wing, and the leg, but no thigh. As someone who prefers dark meat, the thigh was the part I was most looking forward to. I mentioned this to our waitress, who was very pleasant, but before leaving I also asked if I could speak with the manager or the chef to understand why the dish was served this way. Unfortunately, no one came out to speak with me. I was hungry, so I ate what I could rather than sending it back, but it left me disappointed. If the restaurant serves something other than what most people would consider a true half chicken, I think the menu should make that clear. Better communication would have prevented my disappointment. The service and cocktail were excellent, but because the entrée was the main reason for my visit, I left feeling let down.
