Everything was fantastic, start to finish! Our waitress was very friendly, the food was great (biggest pancake I have ever seen!), and the owner came over to the table to give our 3 yr old a coloring set with stickers to keep her busy. One of the best parts of the restaurant is the back room- there are hummingbird feeders all along the windows.. so you get to watch those little guys/gals fluttering around! Overall, the atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly- including the customers that were coming in. The menu is on the shorter side, but everything we had was delicious (crepes with strawberries, giant pancake, French toast, home fries and bacon). If you're looking for a "low-key"/quiet, quaint place for a morning breakfast, this is definitely it. read more

Very friendly staff, they make you feel right at home. The pancakes are absolutely huge, thick, and very yummy. Love the hashbrowns, not a huge fan of the home fries. Him and cheese omelette with American cheese is my favorite. read more

First experience here was phenomenal. Last four times Have been a nightmare. Once I found part of a basting brush or hair in my omelet, most recent two Trips it's has not been worth the money. Food came prepared poorly, wrong item was given to me for my takeout order. Instead of just comping a meal, they wanted me to drive back a second time, wait for them to cook it, and drive it back home an hour after everyone else had eaten. Way overpriced or quality. They're still using processed cheese slices that have the consistency of velvet-a. We won't be back. 50$ for a family of 4 and cash only I should be able to assume they can get it right at least 3/4 times read more

D's Omelet Shoppe - My "cheddar bacon" omlet - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Carver, Massachusetts

Absolutely amazing!! My best friend and I love it here!! Very cozy feel with fresh homemade flavor! Cash only- must try!!

The place to go in Carver center for breakfast. Consistently good food served in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their breakfast is the best and 'bangs the place out' in the early am. Lunches are excellent with terrific specials and it's reasonably priced. I'm sure if hey were open for dinner; that would be incredible as well. read more

We were on our way to Edaville Festival of Christmas Lights and happened upon D's Omelet Shoppe on the way with the family. We were thrilled with our meal!! They wait staff was tremendously friendly and helpful. They sat us in a nice booth to accommodate the four adults the 2 kids. They brought out some crayons for the kids. It was also decorated BEAUTIFULLY for Christmas. The food was awesome. I had maybe the best omelet of life (perfectly cooked, perfect consistency, and super fresh), coupled with potatoes and rye toast. My dad had soup and a BLT. Kids had grilled cheese. The total experience was top notch and I will absolutely be visiting them whenever we are in town. Highly recommend!! read more

D's Omelet Shoppe - delicious omelete!!! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Carver, Massachusetts

Something must have changed since my last visit, but not in a positive way. I'm pretty sure the undercooked food didn't make me sick, but then again, luck has always been on my side. I like to give the benefit of the doubt, especially during COVID times, but hash browns equating to some kind of burned mashed potato gave me pause. The quiche, or should I say egg-cheese-soup was at very least misplaced. Had it been presented I a bowl, I may have overlooked the undercooked, nay, uncooked eggs, but as some kind of melty cheese triangle, it was somewhat hard to ignore. At least it's still cash only so there's no accountability. Hopefully my experience is nothing like yours. read more

Good food, reasonable prices, friendly waitstaff. Very busy Saturday and Sunday, so there may be a little wait if you arrive after 8 a.m. Be aware that they're cash only, no credit cards. read more

Yum! The atmosphere is warm & inviting. The staff is kind & fast. The coffee is on point. The poached eggs were perfect! The hashbrowns are delish & different than any I've had before; must try. I'm going back asap, to try a Western omelette! read more

I hate to post this, as this is our favorite breakfast place but Not as good as it use to be? Last few visits have been horrible? Keep giving them a shot thinking we hit them on a bad day, but no! Burnt food and omelettes not fluffy anymore! Ordered hash browns and got a few pieces of burnt ends because they ran out? They put home fries on order and couldn't chew those either? Service not as good also? Not sure what's going on but hopefully they can figure it out? read more

This place was excellent. Food was very fresh with simple taste. Service was excellent. The menu is small and the portions are huge. The atmosphere is so calming and enjoyable. The hashbrowns are great but the homefries were amazing. read more

Don't drive 25 minutes to patronize D's if you expect them to live up to their posted hours. Sitting in their parking lot on a rainy Sunday afternoon not to be told at 12:35 that "we're closed". Where is the honor in business these days? The worst. read more

Superior for breakfast in almost every way: -Near perfect two egg omelettes (you're not forced to have 3 egg omelettes like a lot of other places -- 2 eggs is 2 eggs); -When you ask for toast to be well toasted, they get it right almost every time; -Service is almost always quick, efficient, & friendly; -Above average bacon & sausage: a little bit of extra care put in over most other places; -Real (& good) hash browns -- many places just offer minimal effort home fries -Much of the seating consists of booths, making for a more comfortable experience Cash only. There's an ATM (Rockland Trust) nearby. read more

Cut to the chase... my 4 year old was served a cup of milk with no lid. Despite our best efforts, he did indeed spill it all over the table and booth. We cleaned the entire mess ourselves using the dishwashers station with no assistance from our server, who watched it happen and watched us clean up way too much milk for a 4 year old from our dining space. As we finished the cleanup, she asked how she "could help". I smiled and requested a cup with a lid for my little guy, for with which she returned with a children's cup with a lid on it. The shock on my face must have been astounding. Why would you not give a toddler a cup with a lid if you had one? But the food would surely make up for it, right? No. My food order was very wrong. Egg white, sliced raw tomatoes and toast. I received tomatoes cooked in a single egg white with toast for $10. Upon closer inspection this was considered a "healthy choice meal" and should have come with cottage cheese amongst other things. My husband was served wet under cooked quiche that resembled drippy cottage cheese, but was also somehow hot like the surface of the sun. The dish sat at the edge of the table waiting for her return to be replaced. She neglected to return or check on us for 15 minutes; she was sure to check on all other tables in our proximity. With two milky wet boys, an annoyed daughter and two parents with yucky food we were done. She removed the item from our check as kindly requested unapologetically. Never a single acknowledgment that this whole escapade was anything out of the ordinary. I'm very proud of the patience hat my family wore today and will be sure to NEVER return or recommend this restaurant. read more

We are vacationing in the area and looked on-line for a breakfast shop. D's was exactly the type of place we love to support. A local business. The food was great, the coffee was fresh with plenty of refills. By the time we left the waitress was using our first names. We frequent this area regularly and will make D's our regular breakfast stop. read more

If you like tasty omelettes at a local place with an old-school feel, this is the place for you! We stopped in passing through town never having heard of D's and got lucky. I had the dieters omelette (cottage cheese, tomatoes, scallions) just because it sounded good and it sure was. My boyfriend had sausage mushroom and cheddar and it was equally delicious and loaded with the fixins. The hashbrowns are awesome -perfectly crisped with buttery goodness and the English muffin on the grill was an old school treat. Service and clientele has a great local feel. read more

Just ate here this morning for the very first time, and brought my mom along. To be fair, I see it every week, since it is located across the parking lot from the church I call bingo at on Wednesday, but by the time I'm usually over there, they are already closed for the day. They have the usual breakfast stuff, eggs, pancakes, waffles, (of course, omelets, since it's in the name of the business), etc. They also have a few types of sandwiches for lunch, but they are closed by 2PM each afternoon. Drinks include hot or iced coffee, orange juice, milk (whole milk, yay!), water, and Pepsi. I ordered 1 scrambled egg with bacon (extra crispy), hash browns (BTW, you get your choice of home fries, or hash browns, since they offer both), and whole milk. My mother also got 1 scrambled egg, with extra crispy bacon. She also had wheat toast, and she chose home fries. She drank hot coffee. The food was very good, prices were cheap (two of us ate for less than $20 total), and the waitstaff were friendly. The place was quite busy (though I wasn't surprised by that on a Saturday), so that was a clue from the start that the food must have been good. Oh, I should mention, they are cash only. There's an ATM at a bank nearby. The only problem is, the booths in the front room are rather small, so heftier people (for lack of a better term), may find it difficult to sit there. They do also offer counter seating, as well as a back room with six larger booths. I'm definitely going to keep this place on my list for frequent breakfast stops. Thumbs up! :D read more

D's omelette shop has a nice ambiance of a home country kitchen, the staff was nice and the coffee good. I had the Mexican omelette that was simply eggs and salsa, however the salsa in the omelette tasted as if it was canned. My wife ordered the "homemade" crepes that were heated in a microwave just prior to serving and tasted as if. (Our table had a view into the kitchen) Overall the food was subpar, i would recommend another establishment if in the area. read more

When I first moved into town I came here to eat on Veterans Day and the staff made me feel welcomed . The owner sat down with me and thanked me for my service and asked if she could buy me breakfast. Great little breakfast spot in Carver. Best hash I've had in a long time. Everything is made with care, eggs cooked exactly as ordered and my hash browns were crispy as I requested. The service is friendly and efficient. My only complaint is any New England breakfast spot serving pancakes and waffles and not offering real maple syrup is committing a criminal offense. read more

I usually don't like breakfast food, and my girlfriend and I wanted to go out for breakfast. I got a meatlovers omlette and she got a bacon & cheese omlette. They were both absolutely delicious, the hash browns and the home fries were amazing. Then came the time to pay where I awkwardly found out they don't take cards BRING CASH!!! But they were very sweet about it and I ran to the bank to pay. Overall it was a great time and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a home-y experience and a wonderful breakfast. Service is great there. read more

Lovely spinach & cheese omelet with fresh spinach, real homemade home fries & toast. Everything delicious and cheerful service.

My aunt and uncle recently moved to Carver and are still getting acquainted with the area. The restaurant is conveniently located in the Carver Sq strip mall. We love meeting up for breakfast but it can be tricky to find a proper place as he has a service dog Great Dane puppy. The dog is very sweet and docile but quite large. I got there early to confirm that the space was appropriate so he would not be in the way of the staff or patrons and my uncle would be comfortable. The wait staff was very nice and supportive; the elderly owner grudgingly accommodated us, however. We were grateful how kind most of the staff were and understanding of the situation. The food was great and the portions quite generous! The sausages were recommended and they were quite tasty. Call in advance if you have a large party or need special accommodations. Also, note they only take cash. read more

Great place for breakfast, large portions of good food. Killer french toast and egg dishes. Of all the breakfast places that have come and gone over the years D's has stood the test of time, that says alot. Prices are more then fair, you get way more then you pay for. Good service has always been a constant, and I dont see that changing at any point. read more

Stopped here on the way to a local Cranberry Farm , the staff were very friendly and amusing . The Meat Lovers Omelet is outstanding but everything was good . Yes , they only accept cash but not a big deal , there is a Bank in the same parking lot with an ATM . Try it , you'll love it . read more

Easily the best breakfast within 30 miles! I have been eating here for a few years and the food is consistently superb. The best hash browns and muffins. Fast service and wonderful staff. You will not regret eating here. Please stop by and try. If they have a downside it would be their coffee, bland with a slightly bitter finish. If they invested in a better quality brand of coffee this place could not be beat. read more

A great place for an amazing breakfast. Prices are a little high.. But the food makes up for it. Everyone is very friendly here as well.

Were going through the area and decided to give it a try. Coffee was so so, not worth a 1.95 and only approached for a refill before we got our order. Potatoes were barely warm, the two eggs barely equaled one egg, bacon not cooked and sitting in grease. Not worth the money. Certainly will not waste my money stopping here again. read more
