First experience here was phenomenal. Last four times Have been a nightmare. Once I found part of a basting brush or hair in my omelet, most recent two Trips it's has not been worth the money. Food came prepared poorly, wrong item was given to me for my takeout order. Instead of just comping a meal, they wanted me to drive back a second time, wait for them to cook it, and drive it back home an hour after everyone else had eaten. Way overpriced or quality. They're still using processed cheese slices that have the consistency of velvet-a. Everything was fantastic, start to finish! Our waitress was very friendly, the food was great (biggest pancake I have ever seen!), and the owner came over to the table to give our 3 yr old a coloring set with stickers to keep her busy. One of the best parts of the restaurant is the back room- there are hummingbird feeders all along the windows.. so you get to watch those little guys/gals fluttering around! Overall, the atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly- including the customers that were coming in. The menu is on the shorter side, but everything we had was delicious (crepes with strawberries, giant pancake, French toast, home fries and bacon). Something must have changed since my last visit, but not in a positive way. I'm pretty sure the undercooked food didn't make me sick, but then again, luck has always been on my side. I like to give the benefit of the doubt, especially during COVID times, but hash browns equating to some kind of burned mashed potato gave me pause. The quiche, or should I say egg-cheese-soup was at very least misplaced. Had it been presented I a bowl, I may have overlooked the undercooked, nay, uncooked eggs, but as some kind of melty cheese triangle, it was somewhat hard to ignore. We were on our way to Edaville Festival of Christmas Lights and happened upon D's Omelet Shoppe on the way with the family. We were thrilled with our meal!! They wait staff was tremendously friendly and helpful. They sat us in a nice booth to accommodate the four adults the 2 kids. They brought out some crayons for the kids. It was also decorated BEAUTIFULLY for Christmas. The food was awesome. I had maybe the best omelet of life (perfectly cooked, perfect consistency, and super fresh), coupled with potatoes and rye toast. My dad had soup and a BLT. Kids had grilled cheese. Cut to the chase... my 4 year old was served a cup of milk with no lid. Despite our best efforts, he did indeed spill it all over the table and booth. We cleaned the entire mess ourselves using the dishwashers station with no assistance from our server, who watched it happen and watched us clean up way too much milk for a 4 year old from our dining space. As we finished the cleanup, she asked how she "could help". I smiled and requested a cup with a lid for my little guy, for with which she returned with a children's cup with a lid on it. The shock on my face must have been astounding. Why would you not give a toddler a cup with a lid if you had one? But the food would surely make up for it, right? No. My food order was very wrong. Egg white, sliced raw tomatoes and toast. I received tomatoes cooked in a single egg white with toast for $10. Upon closer inspection this was considered a "healthy choice meal" and should have come with cottage cheese amongst other things. My husband was served wet under cooked quiche that resembled drippy cottage cheese, but was also somehow hot like the surface of the sun. The dish sat at the edge of the table waiting for her return to be replaced. She neglected to return or check on us for 15 minutes; she was sure to check on all other tables in our proximity. With two milky wet boys, an annoyed daughter and two parents with yucky food we were done. She removed the item from our check as kindly requested unapologetically. Never a single acknowledgment that this whole escapade was anything out of the ordinary. I'm very proud of the patience hat my family wore today and will be sure to NEVER return or recommend this restaurant. read more

I had the dieters omelette (cottage cheese, tomatoes, scallions) just because it sounded good and it sure was. My boyfriend had sausage mushroom and cheddar and it was equally delicious and loaded with the fixins. Just ate here this morning for the very first time, and brought my mom along. To be fair, I see it every week, since it is located across the parking lot from the church I call bingo at on Wednesday, but by the time I'm usually over there, they are already closed for the day. They have the usual breakfast stuff, eggs, pancakes, waffles, (of course, omelets, since it's in the name of the business), etc. They also have a few types of sandwiches for lunch, but they are closed by 2PM each afternoon. Drinks include hot or iced coffee, orange juice, milk (whole milk, yay!), water, and Pepsi. I ordered 1 scrambled egg with bacon (extra crispy), hash browns (BTW, you get your choice of home fries, or hash browns, since they offer both), and whole milk. My mother also got 1 scrambled egg, with extra crispy bacon. She also had wheat toast, and she chose home fries. She drank hot coffee. The food was very good, prices were cheap (two of us ate for less than $20 total), and the waitstaff were friendly. The place was quite busy (though I wasn't surprised by that on a Saturday), so that was a clue from the start that the food must have been good. Oh, I should mention, they are cash only. There's an ATM at a bank nearby. The only problem is, the booths in the front room are rather small, so heftier people (for lack of a better term), may find it difficult to sit there. They do also offer counter seating, as well as a back room with six larger booths. I'm definitely going to keep this place on my list for frequent breakfast stops. Thumbs up! :D read more

My aunt and uncle recently moved to Carver and are still getting acquainted with the area. The restaurant is conveniently located in the Carver Sq strip mall. We love meeting up for breakfast but it can be tricky to find a proper place as he has a service dog Great Dane puppy. The dog is very sweet and docile but quite large. I got there early to confirm that the space was appropriate so he would not be in the way of the staff or patrons and my uncle would be comfortable. The wait staff was very nice and supportive; the elderly owner grudgingly accommodated us, however. We were grateful how kind most of the staff were and understanding of the situation. The food was great and the portions quite generous! The sausages were recommended and they were quite tasty. Call in advance if you have a large party or need special accommodations. I usually don't like breakfast food, and my girlfriend and I wanted to go out for breakfast. I got a meatlovers omlette and she got a bacon & cheese omlette. They were both absolutely delicious, the hash browns and the home fries were amazing. Then came the time to pay where I awkwardly found out they don't take cards BRING CASH!!! But they were very sweet about it and I ran to the bank to pay. Overall it was a great time and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a home-y experience and a wonderful breakfast. We are seasonal campers in Carver and go there every Saturday morning, but plan on taking a drive there on the off season. Of all the breakfast places that have come and gone over the years D's has stood the test of time, that says alot. Prices are more then fair, you get way more then you pay for.
