On my way to work,…read moreI was forced to find a mechanic due to engine stutters/misfires and a blinking engine light. I am not from the area so I googled car repair shops, and ER Autocare was at the top of the list with fantastic ratings. Upon arriving at their Plain City location (around 8:45 am) I was received by Chris who said that they would run their diagnostic test and do their best to find the source of the problem. As you would expect, I was relieved when he returned later and told me that only one issue came up: one of the oxygen sensors. The price they charged me seemed expensive but I agreed to it since they were fully repairing it and I was ready to be on my way. Instead of returning with good news an hour later, Chris came out and informed me that when they were running tests (after replacing the initial oxygen sensor), the other oxygen sensor began reading bad and they needed to replace it. I was very frustrated and already felt slightly manipulated but after asking several questions I eventually agreed to it. That was a huge mistake. An hour later Chris returned again with more bad news: once they replaced the second oxygen sensor, the diagnostic test signaled that the fuel injector was needed to be replaced and the car would not run properly without the repairs. The grand total for this piece was a $800. I couldn't believe it and I was NOT about to agree to that repair without outside advice, so I called my dad. He has mechanical experience and once I explained to him what was going on he actually talked with Chris and asked several questions to make sure we were getting the best price possible. Eventually we decided to let them replace it and they worked on the car for another three hours. Later on at 5:15 pm, Chris came out and told me that they were confident the car was fixed and running smoothly, even though it had apparently stalled during one of the test drives. I took his word since I was in a rush to get to a commitment at 6 and paid the total of $1400. As I drove away, my heart sank. After spending all my savings and sitting at the mechanic shop for eight hours, my car was running worse than it had been that morning before taking it to the shop. I made it home and the next day I called ER Autocare because there was no way I was going to let this slide. All Chris said was that I needed to bring the car in so they could continue to work on it and try to figure out what the issue was, which I was NOT about to do. A friend had recommended Streamline Mechanic so I called them and took my car there the next morning, hoping that they could resolve the problem easily since it had been so difficult for ER to figure out. Streamline went above and beyond my expectations as they found the issue and fixed it in seven hours for a third of the price, and I haven't had any problems since. In summary, I will not be returning to ER autocare and will never recommend it to anyone. Do not take your car there if you want to save your precious time and money.

I was worried that an electrical issue while stranded would lead to 'ghost' repairs and a huge bill, but their honesty and integrity were amazing. I didn't even make it to the point of having them put new tires on my BMW. I ordered some tires from tire rack, and it chose precision as my shop. Per tracking info my tires were to arrive on a Wednesday. To get ahead of the curve of a busy schedule, I called to schedule an appointment for that day. They told me they wanted to wait until the tires arrived to schedule. Lo and behold, they showed just as tracking info stated, and could not get me in until the day after or Friday. They called me to schedule the appointment when the tires arrived and quoted 3 or more hours to mount and balance tires because they are "low profile tires". Upon telling them I would just pick up my tires and take it to another shop, they said "well they are your tires" and hung up on me. They are not customer friendly, and try to overcharge to make a quick buck. If you need a good tire shop located in Delaware, go to RNR tire on Sandusky st. They are fair priced, an absolute pleasure to work with and only seem to hire good knowledgeable technicians. RNR has my business for life, stay AWAY from Precision Alignment.

I tried to call all of the well known tire places, and they were all closed and probably a good 30 minutes away. I found a tow company with a flat bed that could load us, and they suggested we go to Taylor Tire, which we did not even know was just 0.5 miles away!!! We abandoned our trailer in their parking lot with a note to call us in the morning and that we needed a new tire. I saw that they opened early, so I planned to arrive in the morning when they opened to see if they could even help us. When i arrived, the owner was putting the trailer back in the parking spot, he had completed the work himself before they even opened!! We ended up buying two new tires and having the current good tire put onto a new wheel for a spare. They have earned a lifelong customer!

He canceled last minute (he was drinking of course) so I was in a hurry to find a shop that was still open and able to service at 430 pm. The universe was definitely on my side this day as they had an opening and got me in right away.. This doesn't usually happen per the shop as they are booked out weeks in advance. I can certainly see why... Shop is super clean. Bathrooms super clean. Easy access. Easy to find. Close to gas station- was excellent for me as I was of course on E Staff super friendly.
