Kevin's car repair is my go to shop for all things mechanical. I've been taking my vehicles here…read morefor over 15 years, even before Kevin bought the shop from its prior owner. The guys are knowledgeable, kind, communicative, and honest. They do a great job at taking care of all sorts of repairs, they will install OEM or mass produced parts or allow you to bring parts sourced from the junkyard. They can also put you in contact with shops and service providers that manage specialty work such as rim resurfacing and odometer resets that match their standard of service and value. I've grown up working on cars and I'm happy that I found a reliable mechanic shop that takes as much care into their services as I have taken when doing the work myself. Whether you have an understanding about car mechanics or not, you can trust Kevin's with your vehicles any day!

The "repair" started to rust so I contacted progressive to get it repaired yet again. When I picked up my car I noticed this glass sitting in my back seat, unwrapped, digging into my door armrests. Not very cool I gotta say. Zero communication about this, or anything really other than the day before it was ready to be picked up. Their manager came out to see this and started getting really pissy when I called them out for failing at every aspect of their business. He really didn't like it when I told him to go fuck himself either and then he got up in my face and threatened to have me arrested. Mind you he was preventing me from leaving the business at that time. I can't recommend Fine Line Auto on North High Street in Clintonville enough! After my beloved…read moreconversion van was stolen and involved in a hit-skip accident, the insurance company deemed it totaled. I was heartbroken -- I'd only had one season of adventures in it, and it had a unique custom package that meant a lot to me. Rather than replace it, I made the decision to restore it, and I'm so glad I did. Bill at Fine Line was initially surprised by my choice, but he was incredibly thorough in explaining the repairs and costs up front. Once he understood how much the van meant to me, he was fully on board and handled the project with care and respect. He kept me updated throughout the process and made sure to get my approval on a few adjustments along the way. Shushana was always so friendly and welcoming every time I stopped in (and I'll admit, I stopped by several times!). She ensured I had all the paperwork I needed for my final state inspection, which the van passed with flying colors! A big thank you as well to the kind gentleman who helped me when I came in to clear out the camping gear that had been destroyed -- your help meant more than you know. Yes, it took some time -- older parts aren't easy to come by, and a few features needed tweaking -- but the end result was absolutely worth it. The van looks and runs beautifully, and I already took it out for a camping trip right after the repairs were done. I couldn't be happier! Fine Line Auto truly went above and beyond -- professional, respectful, and genuinely kind people. Highly recommend!
