I'm posting this on behalf of someone close to me, Travis, who had a very frustrating experience with Snappy's Automotive in Delaware, OH. Travis took his 2005 Chevy Silverado to Snappy's on September 3rd, 2025 for a front-end alignment. Before bringing it in, he had already replaced both control arms, inner and outer tie rods, lower ball joints, the pitman arm, idler arm, and the gear box himself. He had also just installed two brand‑new tires -- nearly $800 worth -- right before the alignment. The truck only had a slight pull to the left, and he wanted a professional alignment to finish the job. Snappy's inspected the truck, agreed it was fine to align, and documented that everything was within spec afterward. If the truck truly had the severe issues they later claimed, they should never have performed the alignment in the first place -- but they did, took his money, and said everything looked good. Around Thanksgiving, Travis called Snappy's to report that the pull was still there and that the brand‑new tires were already wearing unevenly. They told him to come in on a day he wasn't available. January was the first chance he had to stop in. When he went in in person in January, the GM told him he'd talk to the owners about the situation and get back to him. He never heard anything after that. During that January visit, Snappy's also gave him a completely different story from what they told him in September. Suddenly they claimed the lift kit was unstable, bolts were falling out, the front axle was "almost falling out of the differential," and that the pitman arm, idler arm, and tie rods were worn -- even tho ugh all of those parts were brand new when they aligned it the first time. Their new explanation completely contradicted their original report. Then they tried to sell him over $2,300 in repairs, including replacing the exact same parts he had already replaced before the first alignment -- the same parts they said were fine when they took his money in September. Meanwhile, the two tires he had just bought -- again, almost $800 -- were now nearly bald on the inside edges because the alignment was never corrected under warranty. Snappy's gave him two completely different diagnoses months apart, refused to honor their warranty, didn't follow through on what the GM promised, and tried to upsell him on repairs he didn't need. He paid for an alignment that didn't fix the issue, ended up with ruined tires, and got no accountability from the shop. Based on everything he went through, I wouldn't recommend Snappy's to anyone. read more

I wanted them to confirm that my problem with my vehicle was the actual part, not just the hoses attached. Instead they did a full inspection of the vehicle and charged me over $150! They didn't tell me up front what the price would be...I thought it would be free or nominal like other shops in the area. read more

these guys are the biggest Scam in town. They charge you to look at your vehicle even if you accept the job. They fixed my Muffler, two weeks Later it broke again and they charged me another thousand dollars to Repair thier own bad work. Go anywhere else in town. For the past 2 years I've been taking my cars to Snappy's. The offer great service at a fair price. Most people think if repair shops as a go in for a service and walk out needing a ton of work done, that's not the case with Snappy's. They keep the owner up to speed on what is going on ie brakes needing replaced on next visit or what service they performed. They're also fairly cheaper than dealerships. Took my vehicle here due to the visible good reviews on Yelp, initial estimate was $880, which didn't sit well. After checking with Ford and receiving a high end quote for the same work for $630 and calling Snappy's back within 10 minutes to cancel, I was offered a counter quote of $700 and informed that my car had already been disassembled for diagnosis and that they would go ahead and just put on a new belt for which they were charging me $250. I was not informed that my vehicle had to be torn down to check for a bad alternator (which was what I suspected when I dropped it off and is a part that can be voltage tested and immediately ruled out without tearing the car apart...my dad was a mechanic!). I was never informed there was a charge for a quote/diagnosis and there is NO WAY they had my car torn apart in under ten minutes. This is outrageous and extremely unprofessional. I feel I've been completely screwed over. This is evidently a mechanic for rich people who enjoy throwing money away...note to long-standing customers, get a quote elsewhere because Snappy's is BLATANTLY, UNAPOLOGETICALLY overcharging you. The initial quote being $250 over the local (Delaware) Ford dealership should tell you everything, and it is super depressing to be ripped off in this way when I went to an indie to save money in the first place. read more

I was new to the Columbus area and got one of their flyers in the mail so I tried them out. I am glad I did this is the first place that I felt they charged a reasonable price and are not looking for a random issues with my car to fix. Honest, affordable, friendly. read more

On two separate occasions i took my vehicle to snappy for repairs. Two years ago, the vehicle was leaking oil. I took the car there and they stated they found the issue along with a few other things. The care was sitting for a few months after received it due to travel. When i drove, it we noticed it was still leaking just not as bad. I took the vehicle there two weeks ago with the same issue. They said they once again found the issue along with some other issues. They quoted me with two different amounts one to fix the leak and the other for some other issue they stated was causing an issue that i was unaware of. 1900 dollars later and them having the vehicle for over two weeks it's still leaking. When i picked the vehicle up they assured me the leaking was fixed. I called them to inform them it was still leaking, and they stated to bring it back in. I told them i could not part with the vehicle for an extended period. They said they would have a curtesy vehicle for me. When that day came, they cancelled. I have not heard anything from them since. They are untrustworthy and don't do reliable work. Not recommended. read more

After receiving a ridiculously priced estimate for a repair on my vehicle, I found Snappys through my neighborhood Facebook group. What I immediately appreciated was their willingness to save me time and energy by providing a "guesstimate" based off of what the dealer already diagnosed. Based off of that, and the significant savings, we scheduled the work with them almost immediately. Once I was committed, they pre-ordered the parts and were waiting for me the day I dropped the car off. What was supposed to take a day and a half, only took one day and the work was done per the estimate that I received. The staff was kind and friendly - one of them is our neighbor - and I'll definitely be back with our other vehicles. This is a local gem. read more

The highly skilled group at Snappys teamed up to ensure the car was set to those exact specifications. Good, friendly and professional group. This has got to be the nicest machine shop I've ever come across (I might be biased though, this is only the second one I've ever had to use). The waiting room looks recently redone, they have a well-kept bathroom, complementary drinks and snacks for long waits. Best of all incredibly friendly service and reasonable prices. read more

This auto repair shop is not the best. I used them twice and both times they did not fix the problem that I brought them to be fixed. They changed parts and charged me over $300 each visit and didn't cure the issues that I brought the vehicle in with. When I told the ladies that staff the front desk that I was not happy with the results and found them too be "parts changers" not mechanics they got down rIght huffy and we parted company. No one likes to be told they did a bad job, but that's exactly what happened. I found a real mechanic who diagnosed the problems and fixed them for less money, so the proof is in the results not the excuses. read more

Snappy's level of customer service was top tier. The mechanic working dropped what he was doing to walk me to the front desk and introduce me to the staff. I had planned on walking back to my dorm at the university after dropping off my car for a repair but not only did they give me a ride back to campus, they came back when my car was ready and picked me up. I highly recommend Snappys Automotive! My Yukon Denalli engine overheated with a busted heater hose and I had to pull over in the Walmart parking lot. I called several shops close to my proximity and no one could get my vehicle serviced the same day. I needed my vehicle repaired the same day since I am located out of state. Snappy was one of the shops I called and the lady that answers was very professional and she was willing to work with me. She put me on hold to ask someone if they could get me in and she gave me the wonderful news that they could take care of me the same day! I brought my vehicle in and the process was smooth. I left the vehicle there and they replaced the heater hose even though you could tell they were very busy since the parking lot was full. I couldn't be any happier with the service. The two ladies that I spoke with were very customer friendly and very courteous. The waiting room was very clean and organized. They even have snacks and drinks for their customers. The restroom was very clean. My little daughter played with the LEGO's they had set in a small kids activity table. The tech that serviced my denalli did a great job. The price for the repair was very reasonable, considering that they had to get the hose from the GMC dealership since it was a special part. Was told car needed both axel seals replaced..they were to call me next day with a timeline..never did...I called them 2 days later they said wrong part was ordered..next time I called they were working on it (a Friday) was still going to try to finish up.. then called me Monday said guy just walked in with part and if it was the right one car would be done today. Now car is finally home after a week of waiting..2 weeks later oil change at Roushe told them something was leaking looked like transmission fluid.. it was! They said the axel seal was leaking! Told them it was just replaced! So here goes More money ($268.00) the part that was used was either the wrong part or was put in wrong! Called Snappys left a message about the issue then stating I should be reimbursed for at least half since they did half the job..never received a call back so that is why I am writing this they get NO STARS from me! read more
