These folks know what they are doing! Took my Mini Cooper in because my brake light was on and it also needed an oil change. I nervously awaited the inspection report. My brakes were fine, just a bad sensor, which I can deal with. They also found that Oxford Automotive didn't install my spark plugs correctly. I do have a small oil leak, but, the tech said that I may not need to replace the gasket and cylinder for another 6-12 months. The tech removed the spark plugs, cleaned them up and reinstalled them properly. These guys are definitely professional, courteous and not overpriced. Kudos to Brad and the tech, who I will call Curly, because I forgot his name. Thank you for restoring my faith in garages. I'm going with Delaware Automotive Services from here on out. I was out the door, paying less for the oil change than what my husband paid at Walmart for his Ford. BTW, the young man who worked on my car is very experienced in BMW's. Matt and his service advisors Brad and Randi are truly an asset to the Delaware community. Not only are they fair, honest and reasonably priced but they actually care about people and their situations. Time and time again they have been amazing to our family of vehicles, as well as to those that are our friends. They don't charge a ridiculous rates per hour, and they only do the work that is needed and that is best for your vehicle. There are too many chains out there that all they're doing is trying to get your money and "inspect "your car for things that need to be fixed only because they want to make more money off of you and upsell you. That does not happen at Delaware Automotive because they actually care about the customer and repeat business. Their business is growing because of it. My cars brake fell out of my car and they sent a tow truck that got to my house in less that 30 minutes. They were amazing on the phone and charged a great rate to fix all of my brakes. In total it ended up costing $890 and they are also working to fix my oil leak which I didn't even ask to be checked out and they will be seeing my next week about it. As far as I can tell, this place rocks some socks! Took the car here for an oil change on a whim because it was decently close to my place and also because they had an oil change deal on their website for $21.95 which is a really decent price. Didn't expect too much, but when I accidentally missed my appointment they were still able to get me in same day, which was SUPER nice and I appreciated that so much! I also appreciated that they were mindful of whether or not I was going to need to wait for the car, which I did need to. I ended up needing a new oil drain plug and was surprised that they only charged me an extra $20! I honestly have no idea how much, comparatively, other places would have charged, but honestly for something additional $20 sounded quite alright to me! Contacted a representative yesterday regarding changing out an oil pan gasket on a 2001 Ford Ranger. Said individual indicated it'd be roughly $800.00 to replace the gasket as it's allegedly necessary to drop the tranny first. I paused, thought about it for a few second and then stated I'd never heard of such a thing before. He stated, "Leave it to Ford". I did some research and as I expected it's absolutely not necessary to drop the transmission before replacing the oil pan gasket. This guy was either attempting to run up the hourly labor charge or he's unfamiliar with the process. Yes, I'm being nice. This was surprising as previous service was excellent. It is nice to know that there are still honest people doing auto service work. The guys at Delaware auto service are by far the best I have ever used. Yesterday a rotor on my 2010 Toyota Corolla went out. I went to the local Toyota dealership for a quote to fix it and received an estimate, I thought it was a lot and went to Delaware Auto Service for a second opinion. There estimate was 1/4 of the dealership. They got the car in right away and a half hour later it was fixed. And saved me about $900.00 from what the dealership would have charged. Delaware automotive is my go to place to get my car fixed. Matt does a great job and is honest. I have a 05 focus that's just about to 200k miles. Yesterday I took it in because my heat wasn't working and he got it fixed and running again. I've also had them do oil changes, fix a battery problem I had, and he even installed a headlight bulb I brought to him (for free). I know I can trust them when I take my car in that they aren't going to try and pull a fast one on me like some other places. If you got a car problem, give Matt a call. read more

A friend recommended I take a job to Matt to fix my sons car. Matt fixed it fast and very reasonable cost. As I was talking to Matt, I told him about my car which has had 3 lights on for 14 months. I had taken it to 3 other mechanics and never could get the right fix. Matt said bring it over and he would give it a look. As soon as he turned on the computer, he said something's not right. Within 5 mins he said he thought it was a O2 sensor that was kicking out a wrong code. Replaced the O2 sensor and have driven over a 1000 miles with out any of the light on.
