Jo got us fit into their busy schedule on extremely short notice. Jason showed me how worn the belt was and talked about options in a very even-handed way, with no pressure. I really appreciated the advice, the very quick turnaround on the work, and the price! It helps immensely that J.A.M. has located right next door to the NAPA Auto Parts distribution center for all of Central Ohio. I heartily recommend J.A.M. Fix Auto Repair...Jo and Jason have based their business on their deep faith and will treat you with dignity, respect and honesty. What more could we have asked for??? P.S. We needed a tweak to the fan belt and Jason did the slight necessary adjustment right when we needed it. Thanks so much!

I wanted to wait a bit before I reviewed because with a car, sometimes issues don't arise…read moreimmediately. I came in last week for an oil change. I could not have been more pleased with the service here (obviously, since I left a 5 star rating). I chose them because we started to feel like we were getting ripped off (lots of hidden charges) at the last place we went. I wanted to stay close to home and find a small business to support. I looked to yelp! and saw all the 5 star reviews and gave them a shot, and I'm so glad I did!. The got me scheduled quickly with no problem, and the oil change took exactly as long as they said it would and COST EXACTLY WHAT THEY QUOTED ME OVER THE PHONE. If you've ever gotten an oil change you know how amazing that phrase is, right there. Every time I've gone to a chain store for an oil change it's at least 25-30% higher than the quote or the price on the sign. They also upsell you everything they can and it's intimidating if you hate saying no and you know little about cars. Not here. I got an oil change and an inspection and no upselling whatsoever. I was also told that anytime I need them to check my levels (oil, tires, whatever), to just pop in and they'll do it for free. This was a service the last guys offered and I was worried about missing at a new shop. While I was there I started talking to them and we had a great conversation. I was treated like a PERSON and not just a wallet walking through the door. This was seriously one of the best customer experiences I've had since moving to Columbus. So glad we switched our business here.

Went to a chain auto parts store and got the free scan to attempt to determine battery or alternator. They said it was a wash and the alternator needed bench tested. Called J&P an hour and they offered a free charge test with an honest opinion and interpretation. Battery tested low and said they'd be able to get me a new one from the NAPA warehouse within the hour. Battery showed up AFTER they closed and they stuck around until the job was done. Price was not too much more than what I would have paid to install myself and the warranty is solid. Can't say enough for their willingness to get the job done that night and to go above and beyond after hours! Greatly appreciate their hard work and courteous service!

When I said I wasn't committing to repairs, the guy looked me in the face, said "We aren't that kind of shop," and handed me my keys back. What an absolute joke of a business. Apparently, $210 isn't enough unless they can milk you for repairs too. Disgusting service, predatory behavior, and zero professionalism. Take your money elsewhere.

***THEY WILL CHARGE YOU DOUBLE THE PRICE THEY GET THE PARTS FOR***…read moreWill not be bringing my car back here and definitely will not recommend them to anyone. The service is poor and the workers have zero customer service. Everyone who works there acts like they hate their life and acted like I was an inconvenience by bringing in my car to get it fixed. They also over charge customers for their parts, and with labor added on to terrible service staff, it's just not worth it. I think it's time to replace the management and get some new friendly workers in there. Good luck bringing your car in here, if you want crappy overpriced half-assed work on your car, then this is the place for you.
