StorQuest at the East end of Tamarisk is not to be trusted with regard to its claim of being "climate controlled" and charging accordingly based on that claim. It's not even June yet and it's already cooking our stuff. They are unresponsive at the local and regional level. Climate controlled means 80 degrees or UNDER. It was 91 degrees at 7:30p, hotter inside than out. We're done with them after 6 years, at various times doors don't lock properly, keypads jam, and zero customer service. read more

I'm very sad to say that while the current staff seems to be competent (there has been a lot of turn over) the business itself engages in some very shady and very questionable business practices. My stay here has been plagued with unreasonable increases and hoops to make payments. Clearly their corporate ownership made the decision long ago to prey on people looking for a safe place to store their belongings instead of providing a useful service to the community for a reasonable profit. So if you're looking to be price-gouged and taken advantage of, by all means get in there today and they will gladly take your hard earned money!!! read more

This place is a scam. 2 or 3 months ago me and my fiancee were scouting out places to rent for storage. This place was last on the list and we ended up choosing this company because it had a slightly better rate per month than the storage company just around the corner. We specifically asked the employee that signed us up and took payment if this was the rate it would stay at and if there would be any surprises, she said "no surprises and your Locked into this rate". Lo and behold. We got a letter in the mail stating that the rate increased to double the monthly rate. This is absolutely ridiculous & for this company to say it to "uphold a top notch facility" is a joke. The door to our unit gets stuck and it's very hard to lock and unlock & slide open. This place is far less than attractive and we will be moving to the storage facility down the street. read more

Monthly fees have continued to go up and I just found out I'm currently paying more than twice the amount of the current rates. Wow! That's what I have to say. Total rip-off and waste of time for me and my fiance who were promised no rent change increases by the employee there, and to get hit with almost DOUBLE of an increase! Absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. Spoke to Patricia at corporate who was absolutely no help at all, and at the local store the employee by the name of "Luna" was very unprofessional and basically told me "it is what it is, and that's normal for rates to almost double". I'm sorry but you would think when initially renting a storage unit and asking the appropriate questions to an employee who works at this facility, that they would be knowledgeable enough and trustworthy enough to speak the truth when you ask them if there are any rent rate increases or surprises. The employees response to me was " no rent rate increases or surprises, you are locked in at that dollar amount".. so after expressing my disgust about the rent rate increase almost doubling, they said "sorry, please enjoy two months at your normal rate until that increases after that"... I'm sorry but NO! That to me is completely unfair! What a waste of my time to get sucked into a rate that was promised not to change and put all my stuff in storage, to now have to cancel this contract and move all my stuff out.. I will make sure to make this known publicly about this very unfair rate change and the lack of customer service. I would hope this could be made right and my rate not to change. If not, this business is for the birds and would never recommend this storage facility. Honestly this place is bad and like everyone in the comment section are saying is true... I won't say my unit number but I can confirm that all the doors are old and cheap anyone can get in literally.. the doors aren't properly installed rodents, insects etc can get in not to mention robbers! Also inside is beyond dirty and dusty and old. I'f you have wooden furniture I bet you termites are eating it away. Also no air conditioning especially in palmsprings is ridiculous. No to mention the over priced rent for cheap storage units. And like they mention the always raise the rent and I seen the manager comment saying to keep up with top notch service this place lacks top notch everything... I have rented here for 1 year now and the only complaint I would have would be the sand and dirt that gets into every unit. We live in the desert so that is hard to avoid unless I were to pay double the price for an air conditioned unit. Everything I am storing has been passed down for 2 generations so I am more than nervous about something bad happening where I loose my family's things. Every time I come to this site it is clean, pretty empty and quiet. The man and woman that run this site are genuinely nice people, they are helpful, honest and always a pleasure to speak with. In DHS, I never ever got phone calls to let me know my bill was due before I got a late fee... I get calls every month to let me know I need to pay. Wow. Customer Service at it's worst. Went by the other day to move into a storage locker. It was 11:30 and there was a sign on the door saying "be back in an hour" with a nice picture of a clock pointing at 12:30. Since I expected the company to be open, I just waited. at 12:30 I rang the doorbell, nobody answered but I did notice someone peeking through the blinds of the managers apartment next to the office. I waited until 12:45, tried again. Same thing, someone peeked at me. at 12:55 a young blonde lady came outside and from behind the fence she said, "we are on at lunch". I indicated that lunch according to the clock on the front door indicates you would be back 25 minutes ago. The lady proceeded to tell me with a little bit of snarky attitude that the sign did not say that.. I said, yes, I have seen pictures of clocks before and I assure you this clock says 12:30 and I have been sitting here since 11:30...she said sorry, I have to come back at 1:30. I guess when you hire people you get what you pay for, that doesn't mean I have to play along.. what a rude person. I ended up finding a great deal right next to the airport with a much more secure storage facility - good luck with this one. read more

Not helpful at all, tried to overcharge me on a unit. Not to mention, I walk outside and her husband is in the back drinking a beer and smoking a cigarette, while a toddler is running around and screaming. I know people who work in storage places live on property, but that is completely unprofessional! Ill take my items and my things and go to a different storage facility. I was beginning to wonder if anyone cared about anything these days. Then, I found a wonderful, professional person at StorQuest Storage! David, provided excellent (above and beyond) over the top customer service to me. My moving company made me very uncomfortable and mentioned in the storage office that their intent was to add an additional charge based on my storage unit location. David overheard and said not to my customer you aren't and changed my unit after measuring with the mover so that he could not charge more. Further at the end of David's scheduled day he stayed on site and within the movers view to let them know someone was watching over me. This mover had been very unethical from the moment they had possession of my items, extra charges, missing items, etc. At the completion of my move the mover stated he couldn't provide a copy of my complaint or missing item list. Once again, David stepped up and intervened by opening the office, making a copy for me and waiting until the mover exited the property. What a guy! I rented here 2 units while I was storing my house items during my move back home. The customer service is great. The young gal in the office was always helpful and kind. I got to know her and her family. Very nice people, they even helped me move from storage and loaded my truck. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because the facility it a little out dated. A lot of sand got into my unit which is understandable because I had it there for a while but the clean up is a pain. No security problems here. I checked prices at other storages and this was the best. If I need storage again I will come back here thanks storquest read more

The staff at this location are outstanding. You can rent trucks which is a big bonus. The place is clean, auto billing which I love. I have been renting here for over five years and never had an issue. I have 3 storage units presently. They will donate items to charity for you when cleaning out units if needed. CAUTION! Be aware of rental rate increases with this company and advertisements for reduction of first month's rent. . When I rented in late December 2014, I asked how often rents are raised. I was told one a year. I asked how much. That wasn't disclosed. December 2014 began rental. Stunned to learn today after 3 months 2 weeks, rent raised 5.1%, Spoke with David today. He stated I will have a 7% renal increase for 2015--I should anticipate another rental increase in 2015????. Check the Consumer Price Index for rental (commercial) property in Los Angeles, Riverside Counties. "(California is around 1.5% plus inflation of around 2%; hence 3.5% annual real estate price inflation)." In my unit, the floor is regularly covered with sand, as are the items. Risks of storing in the desert. If you rent, recommend keeping a broom in the unit. read more

My husband and I would like to see if we can help this obviously poor impression of the ' front office girl, named Mariah!!' It was and has continued to b a very pleasant experience with this young woman - so far as we could see she is a VERY PROFESSIONAL woman and it is most likely being the reason bc her and her family reside there on the facility! Which , incidentally , to me this is the best 24 hour surveillance one could really ask for! Either her or her husband cruise around that facility during and especially at each nite closing time to personally make sure there are no people left on property all doors locked and belongings safe... AND were MORE than understanding with us the first night upon our move- in ( a big 3-4 bdrm house basically) and allowed us extra time to stay until we were completely in our unit! And for the comment someone wrote about her just sending a cold email rather than a personal phone call for a charge or an issue; well we got a phone call each and EVERYTIME !! I just wanted to clear up these strange reviews bc they honestly were the EXACT OPPOSITE of what our experience was!! Also , it was our experience bc she's got kids , she's prob being overly cautious , which she seemed to us , & if u live there it should b ok to have a beer at ur home , but yes I agree , maybe kept behind closed doors?? First of all, the young woman who usually works in the office is very nice; I have no problem with her. The main problem is the facilities and security. The unit doors are flimsy plywood. The unit of someone we ran into was burglarized the day before and she was very upset. I asked the young man on duty that day about it and he pretended like he knew nothing about it, which made me wonder how many other thefts there have been. He didn't seem alarmed to hear about it, either; very unconcerned. There are no cameras inside the buildings. If I remember correctly, they're only by the gate. I could be wrong; maybe there are more on the premises, but definitely none inside the buildings. We may be moving soon to a newer, more secure storage facility, for the same rent. OH, a few months ago we forgot to pay on time and they added $30 in late fees to a $60 unit for being 2-1/2 weeks late. And you HAVE To pay them for insurance, $10/month. read more
