Equipment was given to me on empty. When we reported it they replaced it with another truck which was also on empty, so they said they noted it on my reservation. Well, apparently they didn't because I was charged an additional $133 to fill their uhauls tank, even though I was told to bring it back on the same fuel level it was given to me at (EMPTY). I came in yesterday to check on a storage unit for a vehicle I was towing down on a Uhaul trailer. The guy I talked to was awesome. Very helpful and knowledgeable. I wish I could remember his name. Today was a different story. I came by to drop off the trailer. Brian came across as an arrogant jerk. He obviously doesn't actually care about the customer. Although there were no other customers, you could tell he felt out out by virtue of having to help me. He directed me to the end of the property to drop off the trailer and said he would be there in a bit. What ever that means. After dropping the trailer, I went into the office to do the paperwork. Brian came in, saw me sitting there, did a few tasks before coming to sit down at the desk with me. He sat there and did a few tasks at his desk while I continued to sit there waiting to do the paperwork. Then he finally said "oh, there's no paperwork. It's all in email". Maybe you could have said that the moment you came in and saw me sitting here. All in all a nice place, just avoid Brian. read more

I checked into my unit here yesterday. Rene was very efficient, and it took just a few minutes. As we opened up the truck -- which we were able to park right outside the door closest to my unit -- I realized that I'd forgotten to ask about dollies or hand trucks, so I walked up to the front to get them. I was intercepted by another employee who stopped what he was doing to fine one of each for me to use, and drove me back to my unit in a golf cart, which was very helpful on a near-100-degree day. It was also very helpful to be able to return my U-Haul here as soon as it was unloaded, despite it being after hours. Hopefully I'll be just as happy with Security Public Storage when I move out! read more

These guys are flat out AWESOME! I didn't rent a storage unit , but I did rent a U-Haul . Considering how hard it is to find 26' for out of state , they did at another location. Also showed me a trick to use the lock I had instead of up selling me a lock I didn't actually need ! Also help on blankets , I would have to say the nicest group professionals I come across in a while. I'm sure these guys treat all customers , including storage renters with the same professionalism and class they did with me. Hi, I needed a storage facility in the Coachella Valley. I looked around and found Security Public Storage by I-10 and Washington. The staff was extremely friendly and their prices were great. I decided to get a unit and I've been using it now for the past five months. I normally wouldn't write a review on a public storage, but my experience has been so good I figured I'd write about it. The gates are easy to get in and out of. The area is well lit at night so you feel safe going in late at night. The gates roll up and down easy. All in all it's a great place if you're looking to get a storage unit. Good luck in your process if you are reading this, but trust me if you choose this place you'll be happy you did. read more

It's too bad that the new management has ruined this once fine storage unit. I didn't even have enough room to drive through the other day. They have 2 gates, so I just simply went to the back one. They line up so many uhaul trucks in the back, that it is hard to sometimes drive to your unit which may or may not be blocked. They would not take my credit card over the phone, which caused me a late fee, which they would not waive. (They said I needed to sign a waiver form). When I tried to pay online, it would not take becuse they had changed my access code, when I switched units. Again, I have rented with them for YEARS - but the new management team is unforgiving, not flexible and just wants your $$$ There are better options in Palm Desert read more

Buyer Beware. You must review the contract and insist that the centerpoint of your destination is not used as the final destination. Uhaul outlets will hold you to the mile even if it several miles to drop off the truck or trailer at their destination that may be out of your way. These charges are significant so review and negotiate the extra miles. read more

Rented a 15' truck from the uhaul staff and it went terribly. They told me that the gas tank was full and to bring it back full. Gas tank was NOT full, then when i returned it as it was when i rented the truck, brought it back at the same level. I have photos for proof and they still ate trying to charge me a Gas charge. Then they charged my card DOUBLE the amount i was supposed to pay TWO weeks after my rental contract ended. I have been trying to contact them about this issue and all they can do it give me different numbers left and right. i've talked to around 6 different people and it still isn't resolved. Do NOT recommend. Bad customer service and nobody seems to be able to do anything besides pass you off to somebody else. read more
