Buffalo Chicken

I recently heard about Stormy's and think it's a really cool place to hang out in Shelton! I was impressed by the many arcade games, pool, bocce court, and axe throwing they offered, and the outdoor patio looked really nice. A lot more than I would've expected was made in house, like the guac, coleslaw, and mustard for the pretzels. Apps were all tasty! I had the broccoli and chicken pasta, which was good but they definitely went heavy on the garlic! The drunken mermaid was also such a cool cocktail, I haven't seen something like that before! I would definitely come back for a casual night with friends for apps and drinks.

Such a fun place! I had never heard of it until a friend invited a bunch of us to go out for a girls night out! The place is really nice inside! Great outdoor seating, and the whole back wall opens up, you can sit outside and still see everything going on inside. Awesome place to watch sports, plenty of huge screen televisions. There are two pool tables, darts, skee ball, even an axe throwing room! For dinner- I got the fiesta bowl with chicken- really good! Also the steak tacos were awesome! Everything definitely tasted very fresh. Highly recommend checking it out!

Ordered beef tacos, pretzels and egg rolls. Food is great. Atmosphere is even better. Very beautiful sports bar with axe throwing, bocci ball, shuffleboard, pool, darts, and 2 iceball arcade games.

Sadly wasn't that impressed by the food here, I got tacos that were dry and didn't have too much flavor. I did however love the games here. They had pool, wall corn hole, shuffle board, axe throwing, and skee ball. These games were super fun but you did have to pay for a few of them and unfortunately axe throwing wasn't available the day I went. Would come back for drinks and games in the future

Very spacious. And there seems to be a lot to do like pool axe throwing ski ballo but didn't really see anyone doing it. The have a smaller patio in front and a large patio in the back wit Stormys is very spacious with a small patio near the front entrance, tons of seating options inside including a bar top, and a large patio in the rear. They offer several games like axe throwing, pool, and several backyard style games. My friend and I did not use any of the games, we just stopped in for happy hour. Their happy hour menu has a variety of beverages and appetizers for very reasonable prices. I ordered potato skins, pretzels with cheese, a buffalo chicken slider, mini burger, and pulled pork slider. I really liked the potato skins and pretzels, but I was not a fan of any of the sliders. They all had a peculiar taste. It was as if the bread was made with sweetened coconut milk. I cut them all in 1/2 and sampled each one and they all had that similar sweet taste. I couldn't finish them. The taste of sweet coconut with something savory was off putting. I asked the waitress about it and she said she didn't know, but would ask the cook. I did not get an answer. I ordered a classic margarita and it was pretty good.

One of our favorite places has new owners, here to see what it's like. The update decor is an improvement.

Here again. I don't always add to my review but this is Sheltons little gem. I fun bar with fabulous food. Due to Covid it's a cut down menu but execution is impeccable and delicious.

The restaurant is so very cozy and warm. The fireplace is gorgeous. Our servers especially Jenna are kind and attentive. The food is extremely good, I love the Mussels Fra Diablo. Served with a generous amount of toasted Rustic bread . A real pleasure. We went tonight and after dinner stepped out onto the patio for a Reggae band who were rocking the house!! Tonight I enjoyed the Sirloin steak special dinner with mashed potatoes and broccoli . The steak was perfectly cooked and could be cut with a butter knife...that tender. The restaurant is very clean and nice--not too overwhelming in terms of lighting and music. The food came fast. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing (to no fault of the waitress of course). We ordered the beef empanadas, the truffle burger, and the barnyard burger. The empanada crust was burnt and hard, with barely any actual filling. For $15, we were given 2 tiny empanadas. The truffle fries barely had any truffle flavor and the sweet potato fries were overdone. My truffle burger was soggy, with not enough bread and pretty much no flavor. Overall, overpriced for not very good food. The sink water was freezing cold. Maybe today was just a bad day for them, but I wouldn't come here again.

We have a longstanding tradition of ordering Wellington's on New Year's Eve. Well- even traditions…read moremust come to end because we will never be ordering from there again. Rumor has it the restaurant has changed ownership in the last year- and if that's true- can the old owners buy it back? There has been such a decline in food quality and service! Let's begin with all the ways the food was subpar. First- my mother did the fixed price menu. They forgot one of her courses entirely. The shrimp cocktail was not in the building. Not that it's a huge loss- you get four measley shrimp. Then, the lamb chops were supposed to come with arugula- and the "salad" was a weird container of lettuce and cannellini beans- beans were never mentioned anywhere on this menu. We honestly didn't even know whose meal that was supposed to pair with because nothing like it was on the entire menu. Food allergy risk anybody? The lamb chops were also bone dry- no trace of the reduction or glacier sauce that the menu specified. The worst offense of all were the salad dressings. They were completely inedible! The balsamic vinaigrette was just pure vinegar- like get out your Easter eggs to dye because that's really all you can do with straight vinegar. The raspberry vinaigrette had the consistency of a jam and lo and behold, tasted like a container of raspberry jam. Another was pure olive oil and the honey mustard was oily and way too honey- I think they forgot the mustard part. On top of the food being a total train wreck- the worst part was the service. From start to finish the staff was rude and made it seem like they were doing us a favor by serving us- that's your literal job! Both when we placed the order, picked up the food AND when my mom drove back to get her missing course they acted like we were such an inconvenience and annoyance. For the prices they charge- all of this was unacceptable. Pack orders correctly. Make edible food. Treat your customers with the slightest bit of hospitality. It's not hard to figure out. It's worth noting that when we returned for our missing course another customer was there demanding money back for spoiled food they were given on new years as well. Patrons of Shelton- raise your standards! We don't have a ton of higher end dining options and thus the ones we do have need to exceed expectations. Unfortunately, or maybe it's actually fortunately for us, we won't be back.

Still great in 2025!…read more Had the jamming burger specials with the yummy jammified onions and they satisfied the burger craving without fault. The pretzel bites were also salty and bready nuggets of deliciousness. Service was great and friendly! It doesn't have a particularly great look outside or inside (mostly a bar with some tall tables and several large screen tvs) but they are consistently good with their flavorful offerings, which is what matters most.

We ordered wings and the special tacos of the day which were eye of the round tomatillo tacos with pico. We get the buffalo sauce and cajun dry rub on our wings which were 5 stars. The tacos not so much. For $15 the three tacos were tiny, 3 pieces of eye of the round on two tacos, 4 on third. The pico was tomatoes with a tiny piece of jalapeno and onion in water, weird. The tomatillo sauce was ok, but not the best. We LOVE this place but these tacos missed the mark. Service was good. At the end, Lauren took over. She was friendly and introduced herself to us and others at the bar. She mostly cashed us out, but we liked her friendliness. Go with confidence, it's a great local bar/restaurant with good, friendly service.

This was my first time here, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's a cute little dive bar tucked into the hillside. The parking situation wasn't great, but we found a small lot nearby, so it worked out perfectly. We were greeted right away and sat at the bar. I was surprised there was just a menu for the wings just two full pages--everything sounded so good that choosing was the hardest part. We ended up ordering three different flavors (six wings each). Caramel Soy (my pick): I knew this was going to hit, and it absolutely did. If you've ever had Korean fried chicken with a soy glaze, it had a very similar flavor profile:savory, slightly sweet, super addictive. The best part? It came with a fluffy dipping sauce. So fun. The wings were crispy and tender, easily my favorite of the night. Hot Garlic Butter (my girlfriend's pick): This one leaned more toward a classic buffalo-style sauce. Delicious, with chunks of garlic throughout. Not the most adventurous flavor, but exactly what we needed for a little spice. These wings were more heavily coated, so the skin wasn't quite as crispy, but the flavor held up. Solid 8-9/10. Cilantro Lime Tahini (our mutual pick): A bit out there for wings. I liked the flavor, but it felt better suited for a salad than chicken. Definitely our least favorite, but still not bad. 6.5/10. Overall, we'll be back--I want to try all the flavors!

I thought the parmesan butter bacon garlic sauce would be more of a sauce, but it ended up being more of a spread. Still a solid burger, just different than what I had in mind. For wings, I got the peanut butter and jelly wings, which were served with fluff, and they were so good and so unique. Definitely something I've never had before and absolutely worth trying. My boyfriend ordered the blue cheesy bacon wings, which were good, although they seemed to have no bacon. He also tried the classic hot wings, which were solid as well. I really enjoyed the laid-back vibe here and would definitely come back to try more of their crazy wing flavors -- there are just so many to choose from.
