Ended up here by chance, just shopping around for self-storage with large units. I really like Phillip C., he is knowledgeable, friendly and gave me a nice promotional price for my second unit. Everything was explained in detail to me up front, unlike other storage places that simply wanted to charge me out and send me to my unit. After visiting some other self-storage places nearby, this one made me feel the best about leaving my stuff. There's plenty of security cameras and Phil in the office are always watching the screens. Outside of the office hours, there's still plenty of time to come and go if need be. It's conveniently located and easy to get in and out. read more

This storage facility seems to never be in the office when I need to speak with someone or to pay my rent. Their website is terrible and I was never able to set up Bill pay online the was always a problem. The office even recommended that I made a new account and that still did not help. The office staff is nice but just never seems to be in when you need them or to pay your rent. There is always a sign on the door saying out of the office for company errands or out of the office. I have tried to speak with manager on several occasions and cannot even get as much as an email from someone. I recently received a letter in the mail saying they're increasing my rates to help keep up their security cameras and the buildings. Needless to say two days later I moved to another storage unit down the road paying $20 less per month for the same size and the new places gave me half off for the first 6 months. I am happy with my decision to leave this facility. Total rip off dirt comes in under their terribly sealed garage doors. Don't waist your time in this place go rent somewhere else. read more

It has really helped me organize my business - I LOVE that I have a first floor (they are all first floor fyi) AND off a little hallway so there is a lot of room for me to re-organize and move my stuff. There is ONLY one issue I have and it is that I would love to have an electrical socket. I can see why they dont (folks living in units etc) and it doesnt knock a star off. Storage Units. I HATE them. It seems like a great biz opportunity if you have the Capital since most people like me can't let go of all their crap. I have found that if you want to save some money, don't rent any storage in Carlsbad. No, No, NO. Go to San Marcos. Even if its inconvenient. This location has been the absolute best storage experience I have had, and for a lot cheaper than other places...and I have had a lot of experiences around here since I think I might be a closet hoarder of 13 years. I've finally moved on, and evacuated my storage unit, and also embarrassed myself by filling my entire 2 car garage with boxes. I could see my neighbors watch in horror with every new truckload of shit I brought home. After not seeing anything for 2 years, I believe it's time for a Craigslist cleansing extravaganza. I needed a specific Storage space and Amy and Katie were VERY Helpful. They were knowledgeable, courteous and very friendly. They gave me a very fair price and even checked to make sure I was happy with the space after placing my boat into it. I have had bad storage experiences in the past but never had an issue here. The owner of this storage unit is unacceptably rude and unfair. I had a unit here that was $40 per month. I paid $80 one month so that I could prepay for the next month (just for my own convenience) but then I decided to empty out my storage today. So I felt I was entitled to a refund for the month that I paid in advance for since today was the last day of the billing cycle. The manager refused to give me my money back and said that his computer would not allow it. It made no sense. He was rude and kept staring at mt breasts.
