Strongly recommend you stay far away from using this facility. It is corporate and impossible to…read morespeak with anyone local (or even in the United States) if you have an issue or specific questions and the facility is not secure like they claim. Full story, with updates, follows:
This was a great place to store your RV until it became corporate owned three years ago. First, they've raised rates twice since Jan 2025. Next, when you try to call them, you initially get an ai voice. Then, if you are able to get a human, it is clearly outsourced to another country. I would be fine with this if my concerns and questions had been addressed. Here's what happened.
In December 2025, I found that someone had vandalized my RV. I first called RecNation and got their AI. Then I called the police and filed a report. I also noticed the motor home stored beside mine had also been targeted. While I was away over the next few months, I tried to reach out to RecNation to ask several simple questions to see if/how I might mitigate any future damage to my RV. Clearly, the security is inadequate. I reached out to RecNation at least four times. Three of those times the agents told me someone local would be in touch with me. They never called. On the fourth occasion, the foreign speaker on the other end of the phone line assured me that she would get answers for me and call me back the following day. She never did. Meanwhile, after each phone call that I made, I received a confirmation email that they were looking into my issue and those were followed by another email saying that the case had been resolved. Seriously? It never had. I never got phone calls back and no one ever answered my questions, which were simple questions.
I finally gave up and cancelled my storage. Their AI Informed me that there would be no additional cost to cancel as long as I vacate by the weekend. Great! However, a short time later, I got a phone call from another foreign speaking operator telling me that AI made a mistake and that I have to pay for one more month. After I told her about all the hassle I had been put through by this company, she apologized and said I will still be charged. Making matters worse, they charged me the new increased rate, which went into effect in May. Then, as a retired service member, I'm supposed to get a small discount. It was not reflected in the new bill. So, I called them to ask for the discount, especially since I'd moved out. She said she would pass the information on and, of course, so far I have not received any refund.
Then, a week or two after I cancelled, they sent me a text telling me that I had to send them my insurance information otherwise they would charge me the extra storage fee. I called them and told them that I had cancelled. The outsourced operator told me there should be no issues and that she would make sure that I did not get any more notifications. THEN... early yesterday my daughter received a text from RecNation with the same warning, that if I did not send insurance information for my RV, I would be charged the extra fee. I called their local number and, as always, got their AI system, and was assured the information would be passed on. Then, later that night, my daughter got another warning note. Seriously?! It won't surprise me if they try to charge me for another month, even though I've cancelled with more than enough notification. Their customer service is pretty bad, but their automated system is even worse! One more note: take a close look at all the reviews. It's easy to book a spot or shed or to move within the facility. However, there are many reviews where people are VERY frustrated because they can't talk to anyone real about their issue. Also, don't be fooled by RecNation's responses to the reviews. They are redundant and, it seems to me, the responder is probably outsourced as well because there is no resolve! There are far better places to store your things, including places that have staff on hand to directly address your concerns.
