Woke up on move day and although the forecasting geniuses on the local news predicted only 'light, periodic drizzle', Kansas City woke up to a sheet of ice, accidents all over town and a new forecast informing us that things would keep coming down until noon. We had contracted with Secure Movers a month earlier for 8am move from Overland Park to deep Olathe. Upon waking up at 6:45 and seeing the weather we didn't know what to do. Could we still move in and fulfill our obligations to the new Apartment community? Were we going to have to ask off of work after having done so a month earlier for this specific date? Would we be charged if we couldn't get from where we were staying, in my parents' home (also in Olathe) to Overland Park to let the guys in and would we be able to get to Olathe to let them in the new apartment. These are the moving days that show up in movies! By 6:45 the office were on the phone to us, before we even had time to figure out what was going on. They assured us that we weren't going to be charged for anything and not to leave or put ourselves in danger. They kept up with conditions and called to let us know they were going to the OP location where our things were and would let us know if conditions were safe for us to head that way in our small Civic. Sure enough, they assured us the highway we would be taking was completely safe, but not to proceed if we felt uncomfortable. If so, they would not charge us and would arrange for a day as soon as possible that was comfortable and safe for us. We decided to head that way. The roads were exactly as Chris and the guys said. Despite the 20 degree temperatures and wind, they had the truck loaded in 15 minutes. They met us in Olathe shortly thereafter. From start to finish they were done in under an hour! I cannot stress the kindness and malleability of these guys and the dispatch office. Super cool folks. Genuinely kind. We found them on Yelp and home after reading this you will give them your business. They do very small to big moves. They are priced just a notch under most of the competition and the prices were more than reasonable. We will always use them! read more

I recently used Secure Moving for a big move from Stilwell KS to north of the river off Vivion Rd in KC in May of this year and this move took all of 12 hours that day. I cannot say enough really how refreshing this was to actually find polite respectful and hard working movers that did a great job for me and my family on our move Damon the lead man has a great personality and is a character, Alex and Bever were the younger of the the 3 men that moved us, but all of the guys busted their ass on a tough 12 hour move and they made two trips to get it all done in one day and I got no complaints, one small glass shelf did break but that was no big deal. The 3 guys went above and beyond expectations for hiring movers and I got no complaints with their work on this move, especially after really bad prior experience with Metrowide Movers in January of 2018 and having to fire them on the site of that previous move in the middle of that job that for disrespectful speech towards me- the very person who hired them, I do not recommend Metrowide ever! Secure Moving did an outstanding job for me and were prompt and on time and the 3 men took minimal breaks during a long 12 hour day I will only use this Secure Moving company from now on for any future moving job! I had several people suggest movers to me, so I did my research on them and found mixed reviews and horror stories from customers about them. My worst fear was having my stuff or house damaged. I only saw good reviews for Secure Moving & Storage. So I chose them, and I am glad I did. They were fantastic! Other companies quoted me twice the amount Secure Moving did, and they had complaints filed on them by the BBB! Secure Moving came in very close to their original quote. So they know what they are doing. Canaan, Cody, and Caleb were a great crew. They showed up on time and worked their butts off. They moved me from a 2 bedroom townhome to a storage unit. There was a moment when I thought I might have to rent a second storage unit, but the guys worked hard to rearrange things so that it all fit into one. So they saved me $100! I know these reviews helped me chose my mover, so wanted to pay it forward! Can't say enough about how great these guys are. I cannot say enough good things about Cody W. and Canaan who moved me this past Tuesday. The entire experience was professional and stress free. The office called me to confirm a few days before. The team called when they were on the way. I didn't have a huge amount of stuff to move, but I was amazed at the speed, energy and care they took in loading. The truck was ready to go in 45 minutes. At my new apartment, I was supposed to have exclusive use of the elevator for 4 hours, but another moving had started late and had spilled over into my time. They were really rude about sharing, to the point that Canaan actually offered to start carrying my things up 3 flights of stairs. (Secure charges by the quarter hour and he was sensitive to not wasting time.) In the end, we got the elevator. From start to finish, the move took 4 hours. Everything ended up where I wanted it and in good shape. AND the cost was at the low end of the original estimate. It was the best moving experience I have ever had. read more

Fantastic team from start to finish. Julie called us back promptly and was able to help us put together an estimate. (The project was to move my grandmother from an assisted living in the city to a nursing home out in the countryside, and I live out of state--so there was a lot to coordinate from a distance!). She & I put together an inventory by phone/email, and we booked the move for the following week. On move morning, the crew called me with a 30-minute heads-up and they arrived promptly. Both guys introduced themselves politely (Kyle & Devin) and were SO kind & helpful both to myself and to my grandmother. They treated her items with care, and were friendly and professional throughout. Our move involved a fairly long distance to drive, and when we met at the new facility they were already hard at work unloading the truck. Everything arrived in great condition. Secure moving is fantastic! This is the second time we have used them this week. They are reasonably priced, and provide great service. They are courteous, polite, efficient, careful, and fast. Usually when you pay by the hour, they drag it out so you end up paying more. Not Secure Moving and Canaan and Cody. These guys actually run to their truck and up and down the incline! I am a senior citizen, with many years of experience, and I have never seen anything like these guys and their company. The first time we hired them we had Brandon, Jonesy, and Dennis, this crew was unbelievable, and everything I said above includes them as well. They even came to my wife's aid when she slipped on slick mud on the sidewalk. They helped her up and wiped the mud off her skinned-up knees and elbows. We moved locally on April 1. Can't say enough great things about Secure Moving and our movers, Canaan, Cody and Zach - the guys were great and actually made moving fun for us too. Best experience from first conversation with Derek to completed move. We had about 200+ really heavy boxes and no complaints. Cost very reasonable. The guys worked extremely hard, were professional and polite and took great care of our stuff. Couldn't believe they still had energy even after 2 full truck loads with lots of stairs in the new house. To top it off, we realized the refrigerator was still at the old house after emptying the truck on trip 2 - our fault. No Problem! We'll just have to make another trip and it was done cheerfully. This company is a true professional moving company. I recently hired them for the second time in 6 months. My realtor had recommended them to me. I have large furniture and rather expensive higher end type. Most of the large furniture was on the second level and we only had a narrow spiral staircase to move down. The movers: Caleb, Cody, and Branden were quick, strategic, and professional. They started out making sure to wrap all my furniture and protected my house to make sure not to ding up any walls etc. The guys worked hard the whole time with no breaks. Besides the fact they were awesome at their profession, I was most impressed by their manners and overall personalities. It was a pleasure to spend the day with them. We hired this company to move us within our condo building. We're downsizing from 2400 SQFT to 1500 SQFT. We estimated 4 to 6 hours. They were done in 3 1/2 hours. Branden, Brent and Colton were the movers and they never stopped moving at a rapid but careful pace. There was not one scratch or dent in anything. They not only did a fantastic job but they were very pleasant. Branden covered all the terms and conditions before they started and covered all the charges when they finished. It was the most pleasant move in which we have been involved. This is our 10th move and the first in which I actually tipped the movers and still didn't spend as much as what I had budgeted. Canaan and Cody were fantastic. They were professional, friendly, polite and were properly dressed for the job. They took care in moving and protecting the furniture. They were speedy and actually got done in less time then what we were told. Our original order was to just load the furniture and appliances into our truck; however, on the day of the move, we decided to have them unload at the other end. The guys checked with their office and the company was able to accommodate our last minute request. This is the second time our family has used Secure Moving. Highly satisfied both times. They did a great job moving us. Caleb, Cody, Brett, and Moulder were our crew. They worked very hard. Derek joined the crew about half way through the job ,and when we got to the new house, the city recycle truck could not get down the one lane street due to the moving trucks, so Derek went and grabbed my neighbors' recycling bins and brought them up to the city trucks so they would not be missed! Nice touch! The move did take a lot longer than I was quoted though which was sort of expected, but I was not expecting double. That was a budget crusher. I would recommend them again without reservation, just be sure you budget for more time because even when you think you are prepared, not everything goes as planned with moves! read more

I highly recommend Secure Moving and Storage. Our crew was Canaan, James and Cody. They're the best. They started off in the morning in a hurry, running from the house to the truck. By 8:00 pm they were still running after loading and unloading the truck 3 times. All this in freezing weather. They were willing to go empty the storage unit late in the day and made sure everything was all done in one day. Nothing got damaged. They got along with each other and Canaan showed his leadership by encouraging everyone and eliminating distractions. Thanks guys! Wonderful service! We needed movers right at the Christmas holiday time to move our mother from an independent living apartment to assisted living. Derek was quick to respond to our inquiry, gave a competitive bid (less than the other one we got) and arranged the move easily-- even during the holidays. Brandon and James came on time and were efficient, friendly and careful with the antique furniture, including moving a piano. We used Secure Moving and Storage for our move in July 2020. They were one of the most professional and responsive of all the movers we called for an estimate and then ultimately chose them to perform our move. Josh was the team lead and did an excellent job. Montrel and Altrawn were on the team as well. This team of individuals were very professional and efficient. I want to say that there was no ideal time everyone was very busy the entire time.
