I would never hire Cole again. The reason is simple: he didn't move us. We were supposed to move today, but now we're doing it ourselves. All he did was give excuses. His employee, Devonte, called me at 12:06 PM, telling us he would be here in about 45 minutes. This was after already rescheduling from 10:00 AM due to his trucks having issues caused by the low temperatures. Then, while we were waiting, Devonte called me again at 1:34 PM to say he wouldn't be coming because one of the three helpers we hired had hurt his ankle, and they weren't coming at all. This company was great! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I arranged services with Cody the owner and had to move my moving day twice because of bad wintery weather. I had everything ready to be loaded and when the clock started and I signed the paperwork, they had already started loading the items I pointed out. The main mover I spoke with was Deandre and I couldn't recommend him and his crew any more than I would! They made the move easy, and had to take apart my fridge doors to get the fridge into my kitchen and did it quickly and no damage or issues happened. When entering a contract with a "5 Star" moving company to move from a 5-bedroom house to a 3-bedroom house, 29 miles you assume the level of service and customer care would meet or even exceed your expectations. After all, this is the 4th time you have moved in 7 years and have never had one issue with the other moving companies. You decide this time to support a small, locally owned family business, instead of using one of the moving companies you have worked with in the past. Your expectations are that they will be on time or close to it, professionalism, experience, and a sense of urgency. If you are expected between the hours of 8 to 9 AM and call at 8:35 AM to say you are 20 to 25 minutes out, you don't expect them to show up at 9:36 AM. No big deal, they will move fast and make up time, right? These guys are professionals, so when they arrive or at least the 3 other moving companies I worked with in the previous 7 years arrived, they immediately tour the house and start laying down protective runner mats and plastic to protect your flooring from dirty shoes, scuffs, snags, rips and tears. You wouldn't think you would have to stop the movers a third of the way through the move, as you watch them snag and rip your stairway carpet on over half your steps. Finally, they lay down a runner but is dirty and gross barely something I would put in my garage let alone my new house. But these guys are experienced, trained pros, right? Moments later, you walk into one of your bedrooms they just emptied and find a big gash in your wall, accidents happen and the mover after about 20 minutes, took me in to show me the damage. I can live with it, but it will have to be repaired, along with the ripped carpet on the stairs. You stay calm and collected, as you don't want to upset the movers, you want to get this done as fast as possible. After the old house is packed up, into 1 full truck and a third of a second truck it is time to make the 29-mile drive to your new home. This is a 40-minute drive for me, but I expect the movers to be a little bit slower as they have big fully loaded trucks. I would think since their website states that they have "use the best equipment" that it would take slightly longer to arrive. After 1 hour and 50 minutes the movers arrive (that is an average of 32 miles per hour, give or take). Again, not a big deal if I don't get charged for the excessive time it took to go 29 miles. The move in goes well, until it comes time to pay the bill. My bill is $2500, but since there is damage to my old house, I tell the driver that I will pay $2000 of the balance and the remaining $500 when the repairs are done. Afterall, what leverage do I have that they will come back and do the repairs? Seems reasonable huh? I don't pay any other jobs on my home or car until ALL services are complete. I did fib to the drivers and tell them that I talked to the owner, and he agreed. I did this because I did not want any more hassle, I was tired, frustrated and very dissatisfied with the day's events. The movers were slow and inefficient, and it seemed like they were dragging their feet just to extend the hourly rate. What should have been a straightforward move turned into an arduous, drawn-out process. [[HIGHLIGHT]]About 20 minutes later 2 of the drivers appeared at my door asking for the remaining $500, I said no way. They called the owner and handed the phone over to me. This guy was extremely unprofessional. All he kept saying was "you signed a contract".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried to make him understand that I had no guarantees that he would fix the damage to my old house, but once I was made whole, he would be made whole. Simple. He kept saying this was a routine claim job and I said cool, then when you fix my old house, I will pay you. He hung up on me. I text him, here is his reply. The next morning, I am checking my bank accounts and credit card statements and notice that the owner had done an unauthorized charge to my credit card (I gave him the CC# to hold the truck and movers, we paid by check because they have a 3% CC fee). I never authorized him to charge my credit card. However, he reversed that charge later the next day, only because my wife had called him (she knows of him through mutual friends), otherwise this would have been fraudulent or theft. I would have disputed the charges, but nonetheless it goes to integrity and how the owner does business. Long story short my wife took off work for over 4 hours to oversee the repairs (they only patched the wall, they cut the snags on the carpet, did not repair the floor at the top of the steps), and we paid the remaining balance, which was reduced by $100, $2405 was the final amount. This company is not recognized by the Better Business Bureau, his movers are poorly trained or take no pride in their work and their equipment is less than exceptional (they used a dolly that I provided, that was way superior to their carpet snagging dollies). Amazing. Straight up, these movers were just awesome top to bottom. Shoutout to Mitch, King and Dave for hustling through this move, having a great attitude and not breaking a thing! Let's dig into it. We've had a bit of a rough stretch in booking groups that aren't exactly working out, but Moving Pros ended that stretch with a bang. In fact, our actual moving day was the least stressful day over the past few weeks thanks to them. I reached out initially on Yelp's Request a Quote and Cole was quick to confirm and email details. Their hourly price is standard and fare, as is the initial trip fee, IMO. We booked a team of three and a 27 foot truck, and they were able to get everything into the truck, Tetris style. Their website is pretty clear on what they won't move and it's all common (guns, flammables, etc) which is nice to use to plan for your move. The crew called before heading over and showed up exactly when we imagined they would. I was out for about twenty minutes when they first arrived and was shocked to find they'd already gotten the large furniture out of our first floor and into the truck. Just insane speed, and it kept rolling from there. They "clocked out" for lunch and I was thinking it would be an hour or so which would've been perfectly reasonable, but it was maybe 15 minutes total and they were back and ready to roll. Aside from getting everything in its right place (thanks to our labeled boxes and me awkwardly hanging out/guiding while they moved everything), they were able to load up our attic which we really appreciated. It's a good attic, but the stairs are STEEP, but they were able to rock it. This review is selfishly really for me so I can come back to it hopefully many years down the road and remind myself to book with this company again. Even in these uncertain times of COVID, I still received an outstanding experience. From my initial call, to the follow-up email with all of the details, to the confirmation the day before I moved, the Moving Pros crew was top-notch! I got a three-man crew in a 26-foot truck and I only really had to go a few miles, but I had breakables and tight angles to maneuver around. Kevin was the crew leader, and along with Cary and Zack, they had this job on lock. A four-bedroom house somehow found its way onto a truck in a matter of hours (mind you, we did the packing) and the cargo was delivered, unloaded, and set up before noon. Three-ish hours? Are you kidding me? I was stunned. It would have taken us, as a family, easily a full day and likely more to handle this job. I spent a little over $500 for the pros of Moving Pros to show us how it is done. We suffered one casualty, and that was a small pressboard piece of furniture that needed to go anyway, and everything else was delivered without so much as a wall scratch. Outstanding! we were their first job on Sunday morning. My husband met them at the old house. Near the end they were full of excuses why they couldn't load things. I met them at the new house. They told me my husband said he would bring the beds from upstairs. I thought this was odd but said okay. That night as we discussed it, he said that he didn't say that and one of the movers was going to disassemble them in the beginning and another one said wait until later. At the new house, a mover ran into a wall and gouged it and just kept on going without saying anything. They also said they couldn't bring a 2 piece sofa downstairs. Monday morning I was going to bring my antique chair inside they left in the garage for some reason and realized the reason they didn't was because they lost 2 wheels. Enough already! We measured the couch and the opening for downstairs and found plenty of room to move the sofa downstairs. I called and spoke to a manager and explained everything. I told him in the beginning we would have paid for 4 men instead of 3 and 2 trucks instead of 1 if that was the problem or even another Het that wasnt offered He said he would ask the guys to look for my wheels, have someone look for my wheel in the truck, and send a truck out on Tuesday so it would be different guys, and send someone to repair the wall and call me with a time later. Tuesday afternoon I get a call from the moving guys saying they are on their way! So we had to drop what we were doing and drive to the old house and it was the same guys so of course they did the bare minimum and i still don't have a sofa downstairs. When my husband met them, he looked in the truck and found the wheel and the guys had no idea what he was talking about so apparently they weren't even asked to look for it. I found another stuffed in a drawer. Enjoy my money, you won't get it again. UPDATE: if the first thing that comes to your mind is that you just moved me yesterday then you better learn how to read invoices because my copy says you moved me Sunday and today is Wednesday. You did not send a truck out the same day because nobody was in the office on Sunday and I didn't call until Monday and your office manager said he wasn't sending the same guys out so it would be Tuesday. I have all of this documented on camera if you want to take this further. there wasn't any animal excrement although there may have been some dog hair under the sofas. They said they couldn't move a washer and dryer on a pedestal so my husband told them he would take the pedestals. Then they said they couldn't take them if they couldn't stack them and he said fine, stack them. They took them with the pedestals without stacking them once they were out of excuses. They forgot to go back upstairs and take apart 2 metal beds and then lied and said my husband authorized it. THEY LIED, it had nothing to do with dog hair. i Called and gave you the opportunity to make it right. your office manager said he was going to talk to you, Cole, and see how to proceed and call me back with a time when they were sending another truck out aAND someone to fix my walls AND have them look for my wheel for my antique chair. I still have a gouge in my wall, if my husband hadn't looked in the truck himself we still wouldn't have the wheel, and we had to drop what we were doing because the SAME guys called when they were on the way, not in advance. if you always make it right, why didn't you? UPDATE AGAIN; My move was on July 18th, it is now July 27th and after repeated phone calls and even answering this review, the owner still has not contacted me about fixing the gouge in my wall, much less anything else. We needed help moving from an apartment to a house. I booked with Cole who was pleasant and easy to deal with. He sent out two movers on our chosen date. They arrived on time, were friendly and courteous, and did an excellent job. The move lasted longer than anticipated, but we probably have a lot more stuff than we thought! They worked hard, and took just one short break (which seemed completely reasonable given the physical demand of the job). Next time, I would probably use a team of three rather than two. This moving company is the best one in the area. After having my appointments cancelled by another area company, and my task rabbit appointments flake, I called Moving Pros. I hadn't previously heard of them before, but was open as I was in a pinch. The team showed up early. They were fast, friendly, and efficient. All of my items were wrapped with care and intact upon arrival. I was worried my storage unit wouldn't be large enough, but they worked some Tetris magic and got everything in with room to spare. Yondri and Ron were my movers and they were great. The only minor issue was they were running later than anticipated, but they later explained that it was due to really bad traffic on the way to me. Cole Hillenbrand posted on goggle that I was a custom that wanted a discount on my bill & I never asked for it nor ask for any of my money back. He stated his workers told hi my dressers had scratches & gouges. He never saw gouges on my dressers because I sent him a picture of it & it only had the scratches on top where it was not wrapped. Paint was also scratched off one of my bedroom door, but I didn't complain because these things happen. He has such a bad attitude. I had a great experience minus one issue with this moving company. They were quick to respond on yelp and when I called. I scheduled a month out and had no issues getting a spot. I checked around and their prices were the best: $125/hr with 2 hiur minimum, then a one time $125 travel fee. Many other companies charged more hourly or more for travel. Also, most require 4 hours minimum. They also prorate your price after the 2 hours, so you don't have to feel crunched for time. My movers were excellent. I had Colby and Trevor. I was in a second story apartment, and had avout 15 large pieces, and 25 boxes around medium size. They had me out in under 2 hours, and moved in within an hour. It was also 97° out! They were careful to watch walls and corners, edges, etc, to insure no damage to items or house. I saw them watch this, and adjust accordingly frequently. Also, in that time frame,, Trevor was also able to take apart my bed at my old place and put it together at the new. MY ONE ISSUE, was I never got a call before hand to confirm. They never asked me about my items so I was scared too small a truck would show up- but they use same size for all their moves. Aside from that, everything was great. Worth every penny! read more

This company is absolutely terrible. I'm reading other reviews where they moveed a 5 bedroom house in less than 5 hours. I have a 4 bedroom house and only moved 5 min away that took them over 8 hours. And at the new house I was so irritated I just had them drop 75% of the house in the garage because they were taking so long. The only reason it took so long is because the guys that were doing it kept stopping and playing on their phones and would disappear for 30 to 45 minutes at a time, this happened 4 or 5 different times. Plus they kept smoking in the driveway even after I asked them not to. Then they charged us an extra fee they shouldn't have. And when I called to complain about it they just hung up on me twice and told me not to call back because I said a single cuss word.
