Great Storage Facility and Manager We have had a number of storage facilities out here for several years and are most impressed with the manager, Jean Marie. She is a hard worker and so thoughtful on top of that. I doubt any other facility manager would drive around and hand you ice cold bottles of water on a hot day. read more

Friendly and knowledgeable personnel. The storage unit we rented was clean and dry, even after heavy rains a day before. The rental process was simple; invoices are emailed for convenience; access to the unit is easy and the space between rows of units is more than enough. I have not used a storage facility before and was amazed at how clean and well kept the entire place was. I looked at both outside and climate controlled units and settled on climate controlled. I worked directly with the manager who was fantastic. She was super friendly and took the time to answer all my questions. I plan on using this facility for about a year and really feel like I picked the correct facility! read more

Decent place. You will be charged for something that is not totally insurance but feels something like an scam because of their corporate or company requirement that it is not required by state law. Expect an increase in rent after a few months or whenever they feel like it. Easy to setup and start storing your stuffs in storage. You will be added to a email list that will stuff your inbox full of garbage and other stuffs. read more

Extremely rude don't honor discounts promised and just a RIP off and absolute waste of time! Spent $25 to drive there twice to get contact to secure unit and then again 2 days later to cancel rental due to being misrepresented about prices deals and told they are broken into a lot so insurance through them is mandatory. If that would of been explained in the beginning probably wouldn't of even wasted my time or given them $25 for nothing from the beginning. Couldn't get any type of proof that we canceled the unit and couldn't even get her name. She was extremely rude and refused to share her name. I could go on with so much more but wasted enough of my time and money already in this place. Pay close attention to EVERYTHING if you rent here. I honestly wouldn't waste your time because there are so many other storage units available in this area who are kind and very forthcoming about everything. Don't know why I even went with this place because she wasn't even kind on the first conversation with her. She acted very put out like we were wasting her time with our questions and needs! I began at this location in August 2012 when it was owned by Advanced Self Storage. For two and a half years I hadn't a single issue, nor was the safety of my property ever compromised. John and Dixie were the managers, and they lived on site. They were top notch managers. THEN...Storage Mart bought this property and took it over in August 2014, and I have to say it has been a nightmare experience. My lease under Advanced Self Storage was grandfathered, so that the terms of the lease under the prior owners remained in effect. Due to a miscommunication between myself and my daughter, the rent for November and December was unpaid. I contacted the management and the rent in arrears plus interest was brought current. I continued to pay the monthly storage. In the second week of July I called this location and requested that Caroline, the person who answered, have Kevin, the manager, contact me in regard to whether or not I had put a second lock on the unit door. Caroline was extremely rude from the onset, and during my request for Kevin to return my call, abruptly hung up. Caroline was the every essence of a customer service nightmare. July 20, 2015, I again called this location for assistance. I am currently 1500 miles from this location. This time I had the fortune to speak to a wonderful man named Jonathon. I asked Jonathon if he would go and take a photo of the unit's door lock so I could see what was on the unit for security. Jonathon called back to tell me that there was only a 'wire' that Storage Mart had placed on the unit in December after they had cut my lock off, opened the unit, and then closed it, securing it was a wire only. Their excuse? That I was 45 days in arrears in storage fees. WOW. So for two and a half years no problems, and now 45 days in arrears for the first time, I have this business OPENING MY UNIT WITHOUT A COURT ORDER? LEAVING IT WITHOUT A LOCK...THAT I ONLY FOUND OUT EIGHT MONTHS LATER BECAUSE I DECIDED I WANTED A SECOND LOCK ON THE UNIT? IF I HAD NOT DECIDED TO PUT A SECOND LOCK ON THE UNIT.....HOW LONG WOULD THIS UNIT HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A LOCK? OMG. I HAVE HAD CONVERSATIONS WITH STORAGE MART EVERY MONTH WHEN I CALL IN PAYMENT, AND NOT ONCE WAS I TOLD THAT THE LOCK HAD BEEN CUT OFF, NOT TOLD ONCE THAT IT WAS ONLY SECURED WITH A WIRE!!!????!!! I immediately requested that a lock, at their expense, be placed on the unit door. Which Jonathon did. I was still calm about this matter, not happy, but not ballistic...yet. It took another week of not having calls returned, not having ANYONE answer the telephone at this location, not being able to even get a receptionist during business hours at their Columbia, Missouri (SO CALLED HOME OFFICE) location to answer the phones before I became irate. I did get through to their customer service FINALLY today, July 28, 2015, and spoke to two of the most lovely young women who were incredibly helpful, kind, and just wonderful in every way. They did get the regional manager, a nasty lying man named Nick, to return my call...finally. However, this person Nick had the gall, without knowing any facts, to inform me that they had the right to cut the lock off the door, open the unit, take a picture of said contents, and then close the unit. He attempted to tell me that two employees did this, and it was all legal. I informed Nick that when they closed it their employees did NOT secure it with a lock, only a wire. He said that was ok. I asked him if he had a court order to do so, he said no. I then asked if his employees were bonded, he didn't answer. TO THIS MOMENT I HAVE NO IDEA IF THE CONTENTS OF THIS UNIT ARE STILL IN THE UNIT THAT I HAVE BEEN PAYING FOR EVERY MONTH. NOR WAS I EVER INFORMED THAT MY LOCK HAD BEEN CUT OFF. So, my advice is to stay as far away from this company as you can. As of today, I am still waiting to receive a professional response from corporate. I have had to ask a family friend who is also an attorney to take time from their busy day to go over and check to see if the unit's contents are still there. To be 1500 miles away, and for an entire week be unable to get a response from this company as to their despicable, irresponsible, abusive behavior has been the ultimate consumer nightmare. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. AS OF 9 P.M. ON JULY 28, 2015.................I STILL DO NOT KNOW WHETHER MY CONTENTS ARE STILL IN THIS UNIT, NOR HAVE A RECEIVED A RESPONSE FROM THIS DEPLORABLE COMPANY. read more
