I interviewed about 6 moving companies and right away from talking with Abner I felt comfortable. Other moving companies were very persistent, trying to sell me, and seemed dishonest. Abner was very responsive and straight forward but did not contact me again after initial quote until I decided to go with him. He garunteed pick up date and arrival date (and time and was 10 minutes early each time!) which was huge for us as our move had to be very scheduled and other companies quoted us a 2 week interval (or more!) of when our items would be delivered. His crew in Houston arrived and packed our entire apartment, included disassembling basic items. They were extremely professional and efficient. Every item even valuable and breakable items arrived in perfect condition. He met us in San Fransisco 5 days later and him and two others unloaded all our boxes and assembled any dissassembled items. Again very professional and efficient. Iron back movers turned what could have been a very stressful move into 0 stress. Abner was extremely hardworking, professional, and easy to work with as was every member of his team. We hope we can use him for any future moves even though we are no longer in Houston!

On moving day, the movers arrived promptly and they were so quick in moving everything! within two hours everything had been moved out of our townhome! It took them another hour and a half to move everything to the new place. Very impressed! They also wrapped certain pieces of furniture for us and disassembled as well as assembled others. Cost was reasonable as well. I would say they are more cost efficient compared to other movers we had inquired. They were supposed to show up at 9, but didn't show up until 10:30am. They started moving things and immediately I noticed how careless they were and they didn't care about protecting anything or handling anything with care. They completed the move in 2 hours, but not without damaging several items. Once they were done their lead guy Alexis came and told me I owed $125. Which was odd because the apartment was paying $375 for the move. According to the form I was provided, it was $125 per hour, $75 trip fee and $50 compliance fee. For two hours of work, that's $250, plus $75, equals $325, plus $50, equals $375. So I asked how I owed $375? Alexis said the apartment is only paying $375, you owe the balance of $125 and he showed me his phone again. So I told him I need to talk to someone because the math does not add up. He called his supervisor Victor and put him on speaker, after going through the basic math with Victor, he seemed confused, said he was going to check what time I signed the movers in, which was 10:27am and then asked the current time 12:30pm. Then he says oh yeah, I guess you're right and we need to update things on our end. You don't owe anything. Thank you and have a good day. At this point, lead guy in front of me is pissed and storms out. He and his movers left their trash everywhere. At the old apt, at the new apt. I had given them bottles of water which they the the empty ones in the grass. Real unprofessional behavior and all because I refused to pay $125 I didn't owe them. Ridiculous. Also, this overcharging seems like a scam because I got an email from someone else at the company telling me that $125x2 =250 plus $75 and $50 = 500. Not today! Nice try though. This past weekend my wife and I relocated from Houston to Dallas using New Caney Movers. Who was polite and courteous and answered all of our questions. She set the expectations of what they would do and what they needed from us for it to be a successful and as stress free as possible. If you listen and do as she says you'll have no issues. First they give you a time frame of when they will arrive. Ours was between 8 am and 9 am. Meaning that they may not show up at exactly 8 but they promise to be there no later than 9. So if they show up at 830 then they are on time. Our moving team did just that. (So don't complain if you don't understand this concept). The day before our move I was told we would get a confirmation call and that we had to answer it otherwise they wouldn't dispatch their team. When they couldn't get through to my phone they didn't give up they called the secondary number I listed and got the confirmation. Moving day our team was a two man team lead by the most professional and courteous man I have ever met, Broderick. His co part was Josh. Both made it a point to introduce us and shake our hands. Broderick had us show him around the home so he knew what we needed from him. Right after he and Josh got to work. We moved from a 900 sq ft 1 bedroom apartment on the second floor. The guys had all of our stuff unassembled and loaded into the truck within an hour and a half. My wife and I are vertically challenged and when we couldn't get the last curtain rod Brackett down Broderick didn't hesitate to help us pull it down. They took great care in our valuables and padded and wrapped all of our furniture. Upon arrival to our new home the team had our stuff unloaded within 45 mins and reassembled all of our furniture. They don't take payment until the job is 100% complete. Broderick asked me to come outside and check his trailer to make sure that nothing was left behind and then reviewed the final contract with me. We made sure that nothing was broken and finalized our contract. They take both cash and credit card for your convenience. If you want a quality mover without the over pricing of other companies these guys are the ones to go with. Stress free and fast I couldn't have imagined a better team. Thank you Broderick and Josh!
