I decided to contact company as they were open to my input, however, they were only able to give me a $20.00 dollar discount. So now I pay $334.75 that started in December. Gee that's still a $95.75 increase. Even the rental markets for apartments only go up 10%. I do not recommend this company as I still feel like they gouged me and took advantage. I was able to see less cost for similar storage than current pricing before I decided on Secure Space and I hope all company's don't do this. If I had known they would do this I would have chosen another, closer to me, storage unit. I feel like I'm locked in as getting stuff to storage was costly and to remove it will be also, so I guess I'm stuck. Customer service through company office is not consistent and what reflected at office is not always same as talking and securing on line. One has to follow up to guarantee pricing. I will compliment the office staff as they are sympathetic, helpful and personal and units appear secure. I'm not sure these 2 benefits are worth the $98.00 monthly increase. I do plan on getting my things removed ASAP but that's dependent on circumstances currently waiting upon. I can't wait to vacate and save $100. Per month. Ask questions and get contacts in writing and do not assume they will be careful with you through honesty and pricing.

I moved out, but it took a…read morebit to actually take my lock off and make it official and getting a hold of someone here was pretty difficult. But that's not my issue. The people here are nice. My issue is the rat droppings and the DEAD. RAT. I found inside my storage unit. I was so disgusted, I didn't even bothering cleaning it out. Thankfully the property manager gave me gloves and a face mask so I had protection, but it's still so disgusting and so incredibly unsafe. There are so many diseases and infections you can catch from rodent droppings and a freaking rodent carcass. And I'm still being charged $80 after I moved out on top of it! I will never rent here again and I do not recommend this business to anyone.

    Short version: RATS!…read more Long Version: Not an option for zero stars--a shame. I rented a 10x20 unit late last year after getting married. The unit was a good price ($159) and I ignored the ominous warning from the person clearing out the unit next to mine--"watch out for rats". I ignored the statement--even if there were the occasional rat, there wasn't anything in my unit to attract them. I loaded everything up, closed the unit and put my payments on autopilot. I checked the unit in March 2025 to refill the damp-rid container I'd added to maintain low humidity as my wife and I had a couple pieces of furniture we didn't want molding. The unit seemed secure--no issues. I locked it back up. when I returned in late July, I was SHOCKED. Rat droppings everywhere. The furniture was covered in droppings and urine. Storage bins had teeth marks on the edges. Storage blankets had been chewed up and bits shoved into corners for what I assume were rat nests. I heard scuttling in the back of the unit as I walked forward and took pictures. The things we wanted to protect were a total loss and the rest needed to be thoroughly sanitized. I immediately reported the infestation to property manager staff. I was greeted by a new hire (he told me he'd been there a week). I showed him the unit, he took pictures and said he'd get in contact with his manager and call back about pest control and next steps. He suggested I file an insurance claim. I explained that there wasn't anything in the unit that would exceed a deductible. He apologized and said he didn't know what else to do. I asked him if there'd be a discount or assistance moving the stuff to another unit. He said he'd file the paperwork and have management get back to me. I thanked him and waited...and waited. I called him about a week later. He said he was still trying to contact his manager (he may have mentioned a vacation). "Give me till friday". I said ok and hung up. Friday came and went. Another week came and went. I called and left a voicemail. No response. This went on for about a month with no call backs or status reports. I checked the unit recently and there were fresh droppings on the furniture. Today, I called corporate and explained the situation. They mentioned this was the first they were hearing of an infestation report on the unit and said "that's probably why the manager wasn't calling you back". I explained that that logic didn't make much sense as I had left detailed voicemails about the incident along with my contact info. I suggested they check to see if any reports of rat infestations had been made from this location in recent memory and, if not, to investigate why that might be since other reviews of this site mention rats as a chief issue. Note: There ARE poison rat traps outside spaced every few units. However, only a handful of the units close all the way (there's a 2-3inch gap on many of the doors) and all the units are connected via interior slotted openings in the rafters---rats would have no trouble entering the building from multiple locations and working their way through the units at their leisure. I have no resolution yet--waiting for corporate to have local management call me back (it's now been a month since the initial report). Either way, BE WARNED, USE THIS FACILITY AT YOUR SIGNIFICANT RISK. Don't be like me. I ignored the warnings and went for the deal (you get what you pay for, I suppose). If your treasured memories survive the experience of being stored here, they will likely need a power wash. Good luck!

I have my identity jacked once and refuse to let it happen again. Anyway I show up today 8min till 4pm . Thats what time they close on sunday. I get there,the same time as another customer who i believe was getting unit.. I could be wrong . So I tell the kid I want to pay my storage I get my cash out and hes says" we dont take cash " im like what what do you mean you dont cash ? Then hes says were closing . Im like so . Ive come in at 4oclock on the nose before and paid it with no issues. Now today I cant today because of some kid is lazy .. he says we dont take cash 10min before closing .. but youll help the other chick get a storage unit. Seems like that would take a lot longer then just opening up the till and taking my money . Just saying . So I leave with out complaing . I figured ll go through some shit in my unit so driving out there wasnt a lost cause . Thats when I discovered they locked me out of my unit .. my contract says till the 10th before they lock you out.. today is the 8th . Keep in my mind i pay my storage fee over everymonth by $70 or $100. Just incase something like this happens . In the 15 plus years ive been there ive been a good customer . Im always on time but the one time and that was 10years ago .. ive never complained about anything even after my unit was broke in to 3 years ago and my door still isn't fixed properly. Its a decent place to rent . Just seems like there new staff is lazy or in to big of hurry to get home instead of taking there customers payments . Very nice female and I forgot her name and wish I could've let you all know who she was being I'm already so tressed over this move and I was worried that by me making this mistake it was going to be a "whole other thing" that I didn't need right now. Automatic rent increase. I was informed that just because my size is in high demand locally they can do that. For a place that none of the doors work with your code and you have to walk all the way around to gain access seems a bit off reach. My unit is a smaller to I can easily downsize but this is notification for future tenants to get assigned lease where increases cannot be done! I forget of mentioned I had only had the unit for 2 months before the doubled the rent!!!! Bait and switch is what they did!!! I am half tempted to contact the state to find out if this is illegal! This is just a warning for all who consider this place is a good place or a good deal!!!! Shady company!!! I cannot unfortunately respond to the response from the owner. I will it be contacting them for any reason other. It's the principle of the behavior that I do not support and will not a support any business with these behaviors!!!
