The pickup service at the Natick Stop & Shop has become consistently unacceptable. Orders are almost never ready at the scheduled time, and the communication is nonexistent. Last night I had an 8 PM pickup. No one answered the phone, and when someone finally called back, the call didn't even connect. The order was then canceled, and I was told it was "held until 10 PM," which is completely illogical since I was physically there at 8 PM. This is a recurring pattern at this location. The process is disorganized, the staff communication is unreliable, and customers are left wasting their time. This store needs immediate management attention and a complete overhaul of its pickup operations. read more

Canceled my delivery order without even informing me because Instacart driver refused to deliver. After called corporate customer service I found out my order was canceled by the store and a refund processed 3 to 7 days. Offered a coupon for my trouble. How about I'll never shop there again!! There are stockists in certain departments who seem to be trying to do their best. Covid brought unknown strains of supply chain issues that are only receding recently, but some lapses at this store are inexcusable. I won't go into specific product managers' names or departments, but I can advise that they had "fill in" outside "plainclothes" store detective-types straight out of a trash pit (dirty, non-professional dress), but what is scarier is they followed me out to my car about a year and a half ago and demanded my receipt (my cart had NO bags, just product, b/c I'd forgotten my reusables!). For this, he threatened to call the police, and I had to drag his sorry (#$ over to the store trash barrel I put the receipt in! He had, in fairness, been made aware of a prior complaint from a temp manager who claimed I'd left the store w.o paying for something...I had forgot to finalize that self-checkout after entering card#, so I can understand their yellow flagging me. It doesn't excuse this dufus town sherriff from some other company hassling me based on profiling. IF this kind of thing happens to you, pls. be advised to contact Stop And Shop headquarters, AND Royal-Ahold parent company in Europe. People leave their receipts before leaving the store all the time, but I would doubt they get TSA scaanned up the backside style treatment in the posher burb S & S sores in Wayland or Framingham. read more

I shop here at stop and shop Natick regularly. Usually customer service is pretty good. Not today! I was in the produce department at the fresh spices looking for fresh basil, there was a fellow standing right there and I asked him where the fresh basil was. In a fairly rude voice he says it's over on the other side from the tomatoes. Off I go... to the other side of the tomatoes looking around for the basil, can't find any so I go back to him and say that I can't seem to find it. He says "that's because we don't gave any" as he turns his back to me and walks away. Follow up...so Victoria T. The Business manager comments on my post ( and all the negative posts) says how concerned she is and asks me to go to a specific web address or call the number...I did both, the web address brings me to their generic web page and the phone number their generic " contact us" line....useless attempt to look like they care! read more

I have never in my experience been yelled at by an employee but today marks a first in that category. I wanted to get lobster because they're on sale. Usually the employees have no problem with allowing me to point out which ones I want but this lady was quite angry. When I asked her to please pick a certain one out she slammed her hand on the table and screamed that they're all the same size...which they're clearly not but I didn't argue. Worst shopping experience. This is my third time in this place and every time it's a horrendous experience. I can't even believe I'm writing a review, a bad one for a grocery store. This is what this place made me do. They have great produce, especially the organic items, it just isn't worth dealing with the rude and unpleasant staff. I started helping out bagging my own stuff while he was taking FOREVER to scan items, then at the end he just stoped everything and was pushing things closer to me to bag them!!!! I cousine believe it! I then stopped to pay and he just stood there waiting. I stopped too and waited for him to finish up. He took another 9min to bag 3 bags only. Nice clean store that is at a cross section. Rte 9 can be tough but I like having a grocery store at this end of town. The prices scanners work faster than other locations. The have an Redbox location inside which is convenient. I can get in and out of this place fairly easy. Others seem to have a longer check out wait time. Sale flyers come out end of the week, Thurs and they have pretty decent sales. Lately I noted some of the items have a min of $25 purchase and limit on the quantity you can by which is a bummer but that is for all stores not just this one. For the price savings I'd rather drive across town to Market Basket. Its worth the drive. read more

This is my go to supermarket in Natick and they rarely disappoint. The shelves are always well stocked, the place is always clean and the prices are competitive with other supermarkets. I typically go through the self checkout, but it looks like they are understaffed when it comes to cashiers. Also, I don't mind paper bags, but just wish they had handles on them to make it easier to carry. read more

I work very close to this supermarket, so I often stop buy for lunch (when I want a cheaper/quicker option than the Panera Bread in the same plaza). It's usually staffed well enough that I can get in and out with my lunch in about 10 minutes, which leaves time to actually eat the lunch during a lunch break. Occasionally, there's the old lady who pretends she doesn't understand that a 12 items or less express lane means she can't take her entire weeks worth of grocery shopping through that lane. (I think she knows better but thinks no one will call her on it because they don't want to be mean to someone's grandmother.) The sushi here is usually marked down, which would normally scare me, but I've eaten it a few times and have liked it. read more

Stop&Shop is my favorite supermarket, and the Natick location is definitely one of the better locations that I have been to. While currently its only competition is Roche Bros, soon Wegmans will open and the saga of three grocery stores in Natick will begin. With that said, Stop&Shop is currently the most cost effective option for grocery shopping in Natick, along with most updated and the most technologically savvy grocery store. While smaller than many other Stop&Shop's (ex. either of the Framingham stores), this one is updated and does a really great job keeping the shelves fully stocked, no expired foods (which is a big problem at many other Stop&Shop locations), and no incorrect price tags throughout, which is very helpful for any consumer. One inconvenience is the lack of plastic bags at this store, but I just keep some extra in my car and bring them whenever I go anywhere in Natick. So make a not to bring some reusable ones or your own plastic ones because they do not provide (silly town of Natick.... ugh!). Lots of self checkout and many price scanners throughout the store. Very organized, well laid out, and as said before new. Throughout the other Stop&Shops in the area this one is the newest and has the best parking situation (especially considering the ridiculous situation at Roche Bros across town where parking can be egregious). Staff are generally friendly, and the implementation of self checkout is appreciated by consumers like myself who enjoy the new technology and convenience. While some say Wegmans has the best prices, I find them to be still more expensive than S&S in general, so the title of the most cost effective grocery spot in Natick will remain Stop&Shop, and I suggest it as the best place to grocery shop in Natick. 4 stars. read more

The natural foods selection was larger than most Stop and Shops and well organized. They had a decent amount of organic and different (eclectic) produce. The store was decently clean although as ALL Stop and Shops need an update to the bathroom most including this one having to walk to the back of store behind the deli, down a hallway. It has a dungeony feel and the layout makes no sense with the paper towel and air dryer literally 8 feet away from the sink. Having hooks on the bathroom door would be ideal for your jacket/purse/cloth grocery bags etc. Also they don't have gender neutral bathrooms yet, which I'm sure will have to be a major overhaul that every single person will appreciate. The staff I dealt with were friendly and personable which is almost unheard of at stop and shop so bonus points there for sure! It was not a hassle when I asked for a rain check and the person at the service desk was on break. Most Stop and Shops would say too bad you're not getting a rain check. Sad but true. They were redoing the gravel in the parking lot which made parking a bit difficult. And the actual customers going into shop are in a big rush and very rude. Says more to the townspeople rather than the store. But overall I would be back. Had most items I normally buy. Would just like an increase in their organic produce and natural foods section. read more

The Stop & Shop in Natick is terrible, especially the check out lines. The lines of customers waiting to purchase groceries are always long, but managers won't add more cashiers to closed registers. Also, one bagger in particular slows everything down as she has to ask twenty questions about bagging groceries. She'll ask "I'd like to put this item in this bag, is that ok?". If she can't figure out how to bag groceries, why is she assigned that task? read more

What a sad place. They have some great staff but there is clearly no inspection by management. Example, tonight I bought a bag of mussels. It is May 4th. The shellfish tag said the mussels had been harvested on April 14. Delivery to the store, April 24. I threw out a dozen dead stinking mussels. This would never happen at Wegmans! Kill anything fresh, supply the dry goods and call it a day. You clearly don't know how to manage seafood so give it up before you kill someone. read more

This is a really nice grocery store. Great selection, fast checkout. To be honest, the reason for the lower rating is that I cannot go here it seems, without being harassed for money at the door. Now, I consider myself a charitable person. I give money every year to various causes of my choosing, but I am not much of an impulse giver. Once I've taken the change from my pocket for someone asking for it, I tend not to take out my wallet too because; well because I have a budget. At this Stop & Shop I am constantly solicited and sometimes not always in a friendly, "no is an ok answer" sort of way. Should I bring receipts and thank you notes for my donations with me so that I can legitimately say no to these charities? Not to rant about charity work, I think what they are doing is great. I just sometimes want to pop in the store and buy a bell pepper without explaining myself. For that reason... I just go to Bacon Street Market a couple streets over. In just moving here from the West Coast it was hard coming to realization that my normal grocery stores are no where to be found. Stop & Shop has been great though. Some items can be a bit pricier than other stores, for example makeup products and shampoo would be cheaper at Target, but as far as food goes, they are fair. The produce is always nice and the bakery has some tasty treats. The lay out is a bit odd and will take some getting used to but I will survive. The only complaint I have really is that the staff could smile a bit more - I like a warm greeting, grumpy people, not so much. read more

However, the deals are great and I'm a supporter of Stop and Shop. I like the fact it's off Rt. 9 so I can always stop in if I know I am out of something back home. For those willing to try out the place, understand that there is always a decent amount of traffic (as there is with most reasonably good supermarkets). We shopped at this store at around 9 pm on Thursday Dec 13, 2018. Only one lane open to checkout - the cashier had a bandage on her hand and was scanning groceries. My husband and I had to pack our own groceries. While this cashier was struggling, 3 employees (1 fat woman who looked like the manager with short hair and 2 other female employees) were chatting away just a few steps away. They had no interest in helping this cashier or seeing whether the customers were getting good service. I got so angry looking at those 3 women because theyre probably collecting a paycheck by being lazy and ruining the image of the Stop and Shop brand. As is the Stop and Shop brand is going down but this location in particular is really bad. Never again. Wegmans for us! Spare yourself the trouble and go to Wegmans in Chestnut Hill. Atleast you'll be served by humans and not these lazy creatures. read more

The stop and shop in natick needs to put their cash registers back to the way they were before they changed the whole store because it's too crowded now. Their cashiers take too long bagging groceries and the lines get way too long now because of that. I think they should go back to the way they had the cash registers 1 person rings up the groceries while the others bag them. It will cause a lot less traffic near the registers. And their fruits and vegetable section needs to be rotated because I keep finding rotten moldy fruits and vegetables when ever I go there. read more

This is the closest supermarket to where I live, but I avoid it when I can. It is dirty, prices are high, quality of products is often low, and customer service is mediocre. Trader Joe's in Framingham provides better quality goods and excellent customer service, I usually go there for my weekly grocery shopping. read more

This place is the _worst_. And it's all about the produce. I can get a can of soup anywhere, but produce is what sets a store apart. And the crap they continue to put on the racks is nothing short of amazing. Maybe a strawberry in the middle of a container covered in mold is like a prize or something? (I went through 4 then gave up, each had a "prize".) Maybe they get a bonus when they can kick a canteloupe the furthest? (They were all horribly bruised.) The oranges don't fare any better. (Bruised and battered for the most part.) And as if that wasn't enough, the dude bagging my groceries threw my stuff around like it was indestructable. I realize the job sucks, I used to have it myself. And when a customer looks you in the face and says, "Hey, easy on the produce" you should acknowledge that in some way. eye contact, a wave, a nod, anything. And in the past I have brought home spoiled milk, (probably sat on the loading dock too long), rotten pineapple, rotten heads of lettuce, and the half and half is guarenteed to spoil 2 weeks before the date. (I keep it in the back of the fridge, not the door, but thanks for pointing that out.) I can't in good conscience recommend anything other than passing this place by for produce, milk, or anything else that's perishable. read more

Give us plastic bags again...paper bags are the biggest inconvenience. If you're gonna totally rely on them, at least make the bags strong enough to hold a gallon of milk. Paper bags are the biggest nuisance and also slow down the lines significantly. There isn't enough room to put the bags when all the items are still coming down the belt. This is a clean supermarket, but their services aren't so good like most of other Stop&Shop - it belongs to "C" in service level categorically with "A" being the best. I have never been treated cordially here; here is virtually no helping hand available finding stuff, and the thing that bothers me the most from this particular store is of getting stared at from suspicious eyes from the store people. I understand the nature of the business keeping watchful eyes, but when they are casted on innocent person like me - Please DON'T! I suspect that the owner have had many incidents of getting things stolen at the store, and he make employee pretentiously offer help, but my past experiences tells me that they are not there genuinely. Let's be frank - the uncomfortable feeling I get is reflection of owner's overly being suspicious; he must be having his store badly shoplifted day to day basis. Why not put magnetic stickers to all the items including lettuce and have them beep at the door like library? Stop&Shop advertises that millions of people who go hungry, but it's time that the store should realize that human don't live by food only. Human Rights, doesn't this ring a bell? I tried to converse with them however that went no where.I asked for one box and not one of them moved???? the gentleman kindly took my money and painstakingly tried to assist one of them with the change. I am basing this review on the produce area alone. First of all, if your interest lay in purchasing strawberries or raspberries, proceed with caution. Most of the berries are in awful condition, and need to be inspected or you will be disappointed the day after purchase when a majority of them have gone bad. In addition, I am not caucasian, and this seems to be to my detriment when it comes to checking out berries. I have had not one, but 2 times when an older caucasian women have found the need to talk to me while trying to accomplish this task. Not in a friendly way, but in an annoyed I am being picky way. The first time it happened, I pointed out the poor state of the produce, that on further inspection, the woman agreed with me. I still think she should have minded her own business, but ok. The second time, the woman sarcastically asked if I had "found what you were looking for?". Why is she talking to me? I don't normally approach people when they are picking their items out. I want to tell them, "Don't talk to me", or "mind your own business", but why should I have to tell them anything in the first place, just leave me alone to do my purchasing. I feel bullied by these white women, and ultimately I do not know what their intention are. I just want to do my purchasing without other peoples' involvement in the subject. I wish I didn't have to write this post. That's my warning, the produce isn't all its cracked up to be, and people will mess with you while trying to find the best. Be Aware. read more

I actually like this store. It is very clean and organized. I go here frequently. I am very careful not to go to certain check outs because the staff is less than desirable. Well on 4-1-15 not paying attention I got in the line, put most of my stuff on the belt and was looking for my S&S card. the less than personable cashier asked me if I got 10 frozen meals, I said "what" as I wasn't expecting the question. Well apparently having the cashier repeat herself was to much. She said "never mind". I than asked her if my dinners were ringing up correctly. she than says "no I told you you had to buy 10 to use coupon". I was so confused because the sale was 5 for 10????? I changed the subject to the four boxes of ginger ale that I had. I asked her if she could ring them up from the wagon as I didn't want to lift each one. Her response was (very nasty) "I did not ring those up" do not mov that wagon until i do"????? Are u implying I was trying to steal four cases of ginger ale right in front of you???? mind you while all this pleasantries are going on the bagger was holding an entire conversation with herself about guns and knifes?????? it was a horrible experience with a less than human, immature, teenager with an attitude. what happen to respect your elders?
