Poor customer service: I was buying a bunch of flowers and since there was no one at the flower stand, I asked for a piece of ribbon from the cashier. Cashier said that's "not my department. I don't know where they might be". then I asked the front end supervisor & he also said that's not my area. With some hesitation he went to flower stand, he took a good two minutes and got me a piece of ribbon. I thought I should let the customer service person/manager or know what happened. The manager said she is on a call and she could not hang up. When I went to grab what I purchased, front end supervisor asked me why I am even there. In my opinion this is very poor customer service at Natick Roche Brothers. I will never set my foot again in that store. read more

Have used this store for 30 years. Great location, real friendly staff . Good selection located in a convenient plaza which includes a Walgreens, liquor store, dry cleaners, laundry and a breakfast restaurant. My only complaint is their cole slaw and potato salads. Too much damned ONIONS. A small amount of onion goes a long way and should not over power the taste of the product. I doubt any customer has ever returned these items and complained of too little onion. read more

I come frequently to my sons in Sherborn from NH. I like to shop at the store and have always found everything to be very nice and clean. I buy items from the hot bar. I was very shocked on Saturday, the 5th of October when I went to the hot bar for food at about 12:30. It was completely disgusting. The rice they had was all stuck to the bottom of the pan, what there was of it. There was chop suey that was all mush and looked like puke. The chicken looked like days of left overs that they put in the cooler at the end of the night and pull out again. In four years since my son moved to Sherborn I have never seen such a poor presentation. Someone verses not doing their job. read more

I'm sad that I can only add five stars because the Natick Roche Brothers deserves 10! The staff are just amazingly friendly (with the exception of a man who retrieves carriages from the corrals as he shouts at customers). But I digress from the majority of the staff. They are all so friendly and nice and are the reason I shop at Roche Brothers. It is my hope that the new majority owners in CT will remember a few things: 1) New Englanders don't like change 2) Roche Brothers customers want to see people at work, not machines doing the work of people. The self-checkout may be fast on paper, but it's not a friendly employee conversing with a customer 3) More is not more, so don't inundate the area with more stores (Stop and Shop did that and look what happened to that idea. 4) A loyal customer base starts with good management who can see the big picture: people are not numbers read more

I have to say that finally I am a Roche Brothers Shopper again ! I had stopped going in because of the much higher prices on many items sometimes shaking my head and leaving the store not understanding why I can go across town and get the some of the same items for a lot less. This trip in I found a lot of specials , fair prices and a lot more financially and shopper friendly. A few things I still don't understand but who an I to say? Ok, so I'm new to MA and in the beginning was a bit taken aback by the unfriendly nature of the staff and the high prices of groceries. Now that I've been here a month I realize that this is essentially the norm in the northeast versus folks from the south. The store is a bit old and dark, the one in Wellesley is much nicer, bigger, and has more selections. I have gotten used to no smiles from staff and overpriced produce. Just bought a 5 lb bag of potatoes for potato salad that were so rotten that when I opened the bag it smelled like dead fish. Turned around to bring it back and the customer service desk refunded my money but said, I can't believe you didn't notice this when you bought them (like it is my fault for picking the wrong bag). Asked for help getting a good replacement bag in the produce department and the gal got me a bag from out back because I insisted. The other bags on the display were showing signs of rot too. Potatoes do not spoil that quickly. I wonder how much they are turning over their produce. Roche Bros used to be my go to for quality, not anymore. read more

FYI- I forgot one of my parcels in the bottom of the small cart. As I was leaving, a woman in the next car on rte 135 notified me and asked me if I had left a parcel in the bottom of the carriage. That was nice of her. I returned to the store immediately and a young man had found the bag. Unfortunately, the meat, the cheese, the eggs, the prepared baked potato were missing when I got home. Not a big catch...but perhaps Roche Brothers could be more aware of what happens in their parking lot.( I'm a senior and can't run as fast as I used to and am on a fixed income.) read more

They rearrange the hot food and have more of a selection. The hot bar food is still a favorite of mine. The chicken wing section is amazing. Lots of choices and they keep it fresh and hot. The bakery section is still my favorite and worth the trip across town. The prices are higher but I feel are worth it. This year we tried the cream cheese pumpkin roll. I went back at the end of the year and it was out of season so I ended up with a Maine Blueberry pie and a Key Lime. The muffins are huge and always catch my eye as I walk by the cart. They have a great ice cream selection and I am always happy to see the Rum Raisin that I can't find at many of the other stores in the area. The sales priced meats are on the end cap and not in the regular case. The fliers come out and go into effect on Fridays. They are also one of the few that carry a selection of Stonewall Kitchen products. A great gift if you are visiting someone. Love the BBQ sauce and jelly...yummy over a brick of cream cheese served with crackers. read more

The food was delicious, and I heard no complaints. What stands out about Roche Brothers is how flexible they were. They offered a wide range of additional services, like offering waiting staff, which we took advantage of. However, we did find cheaper alternatives to other services like silverware and plates. Colette offered those services, informed us of the amount, and let us make our own decision. My wife and I felt listened to and genuinely appreciated by the team. Roche bros is a very good grocery store in this area. There is no other big store nearby, so roche bros is a huge blessing for the residents of the West Natick station area. The store is quite big and always carries fresh produce, meat, seafood, variety of cooked food, bakery, cheese, frozen, dairy and everything that you can find in a big grocery store. The young staff here is very polite and helpful (which I never experience at Stop and shop). You might think that the staff help is not really required at the grocery stores, but I think otherwise. You may get all your items yourselves but when you go to the self-checkout or express checkout and the machine beeps for staff input, it causes a big inconvenience to everybody is the staff is not available or quick to help. Here too, the machine beeps sometimes and I have never had to wait. Huge parking, a Walgreens, a CVS and 2 ATMs nearby makes this a super grocery store in this area. read more

At one time the service, selection and quality justified the cost but no longer. The employees don't seem to care and some have no idea how to bag groceries. Woman today put raw meat in the same bag as the candy. If quality is an issue I still go there. Nobody seems to care, sadly. Natick Roche brothers bakery department went above and beyond! Look at this beautiful calligraphy. This masterpiece was created in less then five minutes. The speed and precision of this design was just breathtaking. I hope my grandmother loves it as much as we do! They will take your purchases out to your car which is helpful for the disabled or those feeling unwell. Brand names as well as less common options. Great staff. All is well until the bill is totalled. Prices are high. Not holy crap high, but high nonetheless. Thirteen dollars for almond butter. Four plus for some breads. Twelve for a small tray of sushi. Six for a small bag of frozen organic fruits. Four dollars is the sale price for Cape Cod chips. Let's turn these prices down and pump the music up! read more

Beautiful, clean store with friendly courteous employees. I was impressed that after every customer the scanner and roller were sanitized and that employees cautioned customers to say a safe distance from one another. I have never had the pleasure of being in this store before so when the doors opened and I saw a clean salad bar with bins that were full of unblemished veggies and a produce section that looked like everything was fresh picked from the garden I thought I was in the magical Disneyland of supermarkets. Nice grocery store at the corner of Speen Street and 135. Produce and meats are nice, great ice cream selection. Store arrangement could use a little work and the bakery is kind of disappointing in what it offers. Store has a lot to offer, but I think may be sometimes overlooked because it is a bit outdated. Prices are ok, and if you are a deal hunter then keep an eye on their specials and coupons, because they have pretty good ones. Natick is a LARGE town (45,000 people or so), and this store is regularly BUSY! Haven't had a problem finding a parking spot, but the lot is a mess (especially near the holidays), and not somewhere I´d choose to go (plus, I live 20 minutes away). Anyway, the store is large enough to accommodate this crowd, yet is still a bit congested, and for some weird reason the builders of this location thought to make the bakery, deli area choppy by putting some shelves and refrigerated sections in the middle of what could be a nice, open area, so customers could SEE where the deli is, rather than having to search for it behind a huge bread display. At the bakery, Sabrina was very friendly and helpful. An item was out of stock, and personally she restocked not only the spot in the bakery but also my shopping cart, within less than a minute (wow!). Throughout the rest of the store, which by the way, was very large, clean, and organized, I had no problems finding anything and the layout of the aisles is like basically every other Roche Bros I go to (Westwood, Millis, etc, etc). Good meat section, and good produce as well (yet, as I said, be ready to search for the bakery and deli). Otherwise, no issues at checkout, and there weren't any lines (Roche Bros is just too good, and opens enough checkout, unlike some other annoying places). Not impressed. We had an early Thanksgiving celebration this year and ordered a $140 meal for 4 to 6 people. The turkey was tasteless. The sides were just okay nothing special at all. Sadly, they also gave us a cheaper substitute pie for the "juice apple pie" that was represented on their menu on line. We ended up throwing much of the meal away. It was so disappointing. We used this Roche Bros in Natick this year. We had used Brothers in Medfield last year. Their meal was so much better. read more

Run of the mill grocery store with the usual issues: - deli meats are waterlogged to increase weight, the roast beef is literally dripping wet it has so much injected water in it - B-grade vegetables (I guess only restaurants can afford to sell A-grade produce) - no self-checkout - only 3 soups, which they don't make themselves, and have low-quality ingredients - other pre-made food appears to be old and made off-site by factories - deli salads are gross; seriously how hard is it to make chicken salad? (I guess it's pretty hard if you are trying to rip your customers off by making it out of the absolute cheapest possible set of ingredients) - no effort at all to get high-quality sauces; its all big-distributor schlock; for example, there is no Desert Pepper salsa (or any other top brand); its all mass marketed, high margin crap like Mrs Renfros and Tostitoes; same for salad dressings, etc On the plus side Roche Brothers is: * clean, no bad smells * cheerful staff * the hot bar and antipasto bars are ok read more

I don't care if the prices are slightly higher than their competitors. The shopping experience from entrance to exit is always a step above the rest and makes it completely worthwhile. If you can't find something, someone physically walks you to it. If you have an issue, someone goes out of their way to fix it it without any hint of an inconvenience. Stop & Shop and Shaw's could learn something from the Roche Brothers model. But they won't. They've gotten too big. read more

What's in between Whole Foods and Stop and Shop? Roche Bros! They often have good specials on olive oil and tuna. They carry Liberte yogurt. Their Shepherd's pie and some other prepared foods are good. The best is the $5 rotisserie chicken on Thursday. Five buck cluck they call it. Come to think of it I only go to RB on Thurs. It is cool that they have their front end people carry the bags out to my car like I'm frail or something. Been shopping here for 20+yrs due to the fact it is 3 mins from home. Prices are higher but quality is also. Cheaping out on your food is crazy too me. Certain things fine but not food, hotels and/or deodorant. Lol The prepared food section is awesome. All types of dishes including Chinese. Produce is almost double other supermarkets but it is one of those things you deal with. Some of the kids at the registers seem like they forgot there Zoloft but its amusing. This Roche Bros is on my way home from work, so I often stop here for dinner ingredients or a healthy snack so I don't starve on my way home (or cave to Dunkin' Donuts). They have high quality produce and breads, which is where I spend most of my time. The meats are great, but they don't have many different cuts (it's a small store). There is a great specialty cheese section with daily sample offerings. There are lots of prepared foods, too, though the hot foods look like they sit out way too long. The muffins they make are amazing. I've stopped here just for a muffin. Big tops, small stumps (no one likes the stump). The rest of the store (regular non-perishable stuff) is priced too high, and again, not great on variety, but the store brand is great quality, though even that is pricy. When I am cooking to impress, I get my produce at a farmer's market or Roche Bros. Everything else, I usually get at my regular stop at Market Basket. read more

They never have the correct temp of mashed potatoes at this location. They're always around 75 degrees when they should be a round 70. I cannot feed this to my husband If I were to reheat it would be like rubber. Other than that the selection is great! And the workers are kind and agree about the MAshed. read more

Shopped here a little over 3 months ago. Can't explain why I didn't post it, but the review was in my draft folder all this time. On the night I shopped here, the place was nearly empty, with more employees than customers. As a spoiled New Yorker, I couldn't understand why I and another individual were subjected to wait in line to check out our purchases while another customer decided to run back to buy more items mid way through his checkout process. Standing there, exchaning eye contacts with the cashier, who didn't know what else to do, other than wait for that particular customer to come back. I looked in the direction of the manager, who was standing less than 20 feet away by the service desk. Made eye contacts with her and got the kind of knowing stare that she saw what was going on. However, she chose not to do anything. She just returned to her conversation with another employee who was standing on the other side of the desk. Don't know what they were talking about, but it certainly wasn't about - hey go help the other customers. There are plenty of other supermarkets within a 5 miles radius to choose from (Stop & Shop, Shaws, Trader Joe, Wholefood, and Sudbury Farm) This was the very last time I shopped at this grocery store chain. read more
