Went in to shop and accidentally knocked over a $9 bottle of wine. Paid for it, but female manager sighed heavily and then even after we said sorry, yelled at us and said "be careful." Never coming back. Two other employees were trying to help and even insisted we didn't pay but she was nasty. Hope she isn't an owner . read more

We got their (Too Good To Go) package at the end of the day. We received six different packages of cookies as well as a box of chocolates and I also purchased a box of blueberries cause they were $1.98 as you walked in the store. The man was very very nice for his working the register like him and he went to walk away from the register went and picked up all the stuff put it in the bag and brought it to me in a handle bag so I could carry it with my crutches. Bazzar West is great small grocery store where you can find everything from fresh fruits and vegetables, wide selection of cold cuts and cheese ,to fully cook dinner to grab for home or party. Last weeek I had party at home and ordered everything from appetizers to cakes at Bazzar West. Every dish was delicious ,plentiful and nicely decorated. All my guests loves the food . I have been shopping here for years, and have many stories, most of them are very good. Their produce is INEXPENSIVE! Avocados, onions, cabbage, scallions, potatoes, and fruit are less than all but Market Basket, which is further away. That said, some of the produce does not last as long as expected. Cucumbers are on that list sometimes. They have lovely bread, olives, chocolates, nuts, beer and a lot of Russian foods, both fresh and in cans and bottles. The help is fine, and the owner is GREAT. He has integrity, is friendly, and he works beside his employees. So happy to have this shop (and their great hours 9-9 every day!) in my area. read more

I usually visit the Indian grocery store next to this one. One day I decided to walk into this store just for fun and I was pleasantly surprised. Usual stuff (produce, meat etc.) Is good. I was happy to see some different product brands, probably Russian. Go here to checkout what they offer. They have some turkish delights, russian chocolates and similar stuff which you don't find in your usual grocery stores. read more

Hot food is not great at all, sometimes waiting line is too long. I had to ask someone to go open additional cashier station and explain that if employee is available they should try to assist customers and not ignor the line making one person to work while others socializing. Surprisingly large selection of products here. Easy to get to on Route 9 West/Worcester Rd. In the middle of an unassuming strip mall, so keep your eyes open for it. Need to take the Framingham Center exit ramp to actually get to it. It is after the big Southboro Medical building on the right going up the ramp. read more

Always feels like home. Having grown up in Northeastern Ohio with most ethnic foods readily available, I miss all of that here in the Boston area. This is in an odd location at Trolly square off route 9 so I don't make it in as much as I might otherwise, which is a shame since it's packed with really interesting foods. I've read some of the other reviews and some of them are correct, the fruits are sometimes really ripe but great for eating right away and well priced. Vegetables are less expensive than most area grocery stores too, although sometimes some of them look older, no problem for me I just don't buy things that don't look fresh- same as I do at any other grocery store. They also have a huge selection of Russian foods, an olive bar, a large selection of home made salads, prepared foods, pickled foods all sorts of farmers cheeses, smoked mackerel salmon, smelts, home made tortellinis, smoked meats, desserts, candies and tons of stuff I didn't recognize. Bazaar is a great place to come to find ethnic Russian and other Eastern European foods. Good selection in a small place and relatively good prices. You could do most, if not all of your regular grocery shopping here and also pick up some great Russian treats! Of note is their selection of Kefir, Farmers Cheese, fresh foods, candies, kashas, and produce. Don't go there expecting Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. Go expecting to smell, taste, and buy the way your babushka (grandmother) would. read more

Okay... I used to love this place. It used to be wall to wall produce. Sadly, not any more. Now it seems more like a convenient store than anything else. It's a shame because a lot of the exotic produce they had was great. I get that businesses need to change with the times, but seriously, it's Framingham. This place rules! I was not expecting what I found after driving by it a million times. They have a large produce selection with cheaper prices then any of the surrounding grocery stores (I got a 2lb box of strawberries for $3.49!). They specialize in Russian/Eastern European foods, so bonus for you if that's your thing. Even if it's not they have plenty of foods that you'd find at normal grocery stores, but at slightly cheaper prices. They also have a large selection of prepared foods that looked/smelled delicious. Oh, and double bonus to them for having organic buckwheat groats at HALF the cost of what the Whole Foods across the street charges. Bam! read more

Yum Yum Yum, A Russian grocery store in metrowest, similar to Baza in Newton. Extensive produce section, and a reasonable to very good selection of food products from the historical Russian sphere of influence, which now includes Israel. Bazaar West (Which is really named Fresh Choice Market) also has a deli counter which have which has chilled russian/central european salads, deli meats and russian cakes. The hot/cold bar has a rotating selection of entree's that you can take home such as sweet and savory blini, cutlets, fried/stuffed meats etc. The beer wine section is weighted towards eastern European beers, so its good if you like Baltika, or Czech/German beers. Perishables are hit or miss, mostly hits though. Also check out the selection of real Shashlik skewers (unlike most kebab skewers these are flat and wide so they hold the meat when you rotate the skewer on the grill) and russian spice mixes. The selection of candies and chocolates (especially stuff from Roshen) is excellent. read more

They have items that are difficult if not near impossible to find in the States including all manner of chocolates and coffees (over 10 varieties of Ritter Sport!) I stumbled upon this hidden gem and was delighted to see fresh, CHEAP produce, delicious homemade items such as pickled tomatoes and vegetables, and tons of exported grocery items. I enjoyed stopping in now and then to grab something at the hot bar. They have a nice selection. However, the women that work the checkout are awful. Never say hello or thank you. They don't greet you in anyway!! There is one guy that works the registers sometimes, he's really nice, but those women shouldn't be working at the register. I purchased a 6-pack of Borjomi in big plastic bottles there, which doesn't taste like Borjomi at all. Two days later tried to return it at Bazaar on Beacon street in Brookline, but they refused to accept it. They admitted that the owner is the same for both stores, though :-) Very strange since in any store around returning a bad or wrong product is a normal practice. Not going to drive all the way to Framingham to return fake Borjomi they sold to me. read more

This place is AMAZING. I was just in Framingham on business and happened to go into this place while looking for a small grocery store. I found myself going there instead of to nearby restaurants (even though I can expense everything). The food at the deli is just THAT GOOD! This place has everything! I wish we had something like this in Colorado. The food is prepared with a lot of love. The counter people are super nice (although they struggle with English just a bit - this is a Russian store). Surprise them by saying, (Phonetic: "Ya nie gavar you pa rooskie" (I don't speak Russian :-) ...as if all of this isn't enough, the prices here are ridiculously low!!! If you are like me, you find that fruit and veggies barely last a day in your fridge. This is the perfect market if you eat fruit and veggies daily. With that being said, everything is extremely ripe so it will probably only last you a day, maybe two if you are lucky. BUT, you pay almost half the price of what other markets charge.
