Stores allowing non service dogs to pee and poo and bark at customers is a no go. This store allows unleashed non service dogs to roam freely around the deli and fresh food and vegetables. I have shared my concern many times with store managers and corporate and was left feeling disgusted by their behaviors. Very unsanitary store. For the second time in a row, I had placed an order online to be picked up. I waited a half an hour both times I could've done my shopping in that amount of time I had to get out of the car both times go find a manager to go get my groceries. What is the point of having the service, if you make it so difficult, I don't get it. I do it at target, it takes them a total of five minutes and they've never messed up. This is two times in a row. This is one the worst locations of Stop & Shop I've been going to because it's close to my house. The customer service department is the absolute worst. I usually go here to use Western Union to send to various family members but everytime I go the one person that can help you is somewhere walking around the store or on break. I mean every single time I come she's nowhere to be found and not even the manager who stands in for her while she gone can get into the system which I think is a bunch of crap. I think the female manager is just lazy or she doesn't like to help people. She's always on her phone talking and it's a huge turn off. They're not pleasant, most of the staff have attitudes and it's just horrible. Lately I've been going to ShopRite where they treat you with respect. I really wish I didn't have to come to this Stop & Shop location but unfortunately it's the closest supermarket to me. I'm so disgusted. The customer service here is unbelievably convoluted. I had to jump through so many hoops to get a stop & shop card and in the end had no luck. The management of this company's utter incompetence is clear as they made their software engineers prioritize building a rolling gray slab with googly eyes instead of a functional website... now they just have two things that do nothing but get in peoples' way. This place is my go to place to buy food fresh produce fresh meat can use a little updating but other than that it's good.

Stop & Shop kind of sucks, sorry but it does. The best section is the organic one because nobody really goes over there so it's kept nice and clean. To be honest, I only have issues with the produce and the checkout lines. The produce is hit or miss and I hate coming to Stop & Shop knowing in the back of my mind I am going to have to hit up another grocery store on the way home to pick up broccoli that isn't crappy looking or zucchini that doesn't look like it's been dropped on the floor and thrown around 50 times. I want to go to Stop & Shop and know that I'm going to leave with everything on my list and that never happens. The salad bar, woof I would never. Also, for whatever reason this Stop & Shop doesn't sell 99% lean ground turkey meat...ever. The other Stop & Shops do so I'm confused about this. Also, just because Stop & Shop slaps a sticker on that says it's on sale does not mean it's a good sale price. You can get Fage yogurt, powdered peanut butter, various cereals, brown rice tortillas, kombucha, halotop and arctic zero ice cream and almond milk cheaper at Trader Joes & Target. (Just saying!) Now for the check out lines, they only have ONE lane open at a time and then the self checkout. What if I don't WANT to self checkout? At 6 pm on a week night, when people are getting off of work and racing to the grocery store before heading home to get food for dinner or the next day, they should not have to worry about waiting on a line 10 people deep all because Stop & Shop doesn't want to pay an additional employee to operate another register. It's BS. The self check out lines are fantastic for those people who have 5 items or so and who want to use it but you shouldn't have to. Open an express lane for goodness sakes, something. Yesterday I was in there with 50 things in the cart but didn't want to stand behind the other 8 people with 50 things in their cart so I had two options: wait on line for who knows how long or go to the self checkout with a cart full and get stares from the people behind me who just want to scan their ice cream and go HOME. Mind you, when you use the self checkout, it's the most frustrating thing in the world because you get yelled at every time you breathe near the bag and need to get an attendant to come over and assist you. (Side note: the attendants are wonderful people and I feel bad for them.) Get it together Stop & Shop. Praying for a Wegmans to open every day. Also, put your damn cart back in the cart house. Or maybe someone can tidy up the carts once in a while so I don't have to drive into a cart maze and play, "How close can I get to the lines before bumping my car into the cart." read more

Not only the label on the front expired (say 9/27.. today is 9/28) but after opening the first layer of plastic wrap I realized there's another layer, which has its own sticker with an expiration date of 9/21. read more

While the store looks nicer than the last time I visited, the lack of care for their customer's health and safety is appalling. While leaving, I saw to selfish idiots wandering around without masks. How were they allowed in? There's always someone counting how many people are in the store at any given time, so where were they? Why did none of the employees ask these jerks to leave? It's their health on the line too. Some IDIOT in management decided to integrate organic holistic groceries with conventional and this is a nightmare for people that shop organic!!. Large supermarket , very clean, but my issue is with the deli dept. at this location. The cold cuts are just thrown into the refrigerator without being wrapped in plastic. The meats sit on top of one another and pick up the flavors of the other meats. The deli help are very unprofessional and roll their eyes at you when you ask them to slice the cuts very thin. This is the last time I will be using the deli here, but the store is fully stocked and have great sales. read more

My go to grocery store. I recently moved to Huntington Station and this is one of the closer grocery stores to me. This location is huge, and every time I come here, their shelves are usually stocked to the brim (with the rare exception they are running low on chicken cuts). The employees for the most part are friendly, and helpful with the exception of the handful of bad eggs, but I expect that, even though it should be customer orientated for the type of business. They have a good gluten free section and natural foods aisle. The store is always very clean and kept up. Parking is convenient, I never have to struggle to find a good spot. If you're one to only want to get the closest spot to the front, then it's still not very bad, there is usually always an open spot. They have a decent floral section, if you need a last minute arrangement for birthday or anniversary. I would definitely recommend this Stop and Shop if you're in the area. read more

I love this stop and shop. Friendly cashiers. Produce is nice. Vegan and natural section is large. I've been frequenting various stop and shops through out the years, mostly in Nassau... This one though usually has everything I need in stock. I've been to others and they are always out of Daiya. The tomato section could be better... This place is pure chaos ... unfortunately this is the closest store to my house and find myself there quite a bit. There is an issue 95% of the time I go. The employees seem to have full control of the store and are lazy at best. Most of the time there are long lines and you can clearly see the employees just standing around chatting instead of helping customers. This goes especially for the costumer service department if you're lucky enough to come across someone actually working there. I do see some employees stocking the shelves at various hours of the day but this place is dirty and unorganized. The issues definitely lay with upper management...if they even exist. Let me start by saying that I am a loyal customer of S&S for over 10 years. I swear by your stores! But today I was mortified more than I have ever been in my life. I was chased down in the parking lot- not only by an employee, but also by another customer- both yelling out, accusing me of stealing while using self check-out. They forced me to take all of my groceries out of my trunk and brought them back into the store for inspection. After a mortifying review of my items in front of the whole store, it was realized that, as I said, everything was paid for in full. I am so incredibly disappointed.
