I truly think they are still open for business so they can take advantage of all the old folks that live in the apartment complex nearby that don't drive. I predict their doors will be closing soon.

My husband and I sampled about 6-7 non-infused olive oils from Italy/Sicily, and all tasted high quality. We also tried a long-aged balsamic vinegar from Modena (that was a thick, delicious glaze). We had trouble choosing, but we settled on several bottles as holiday gifts for family and friends. All 3 members of staff (George, Lauren, and a young man whose name we didn't catch) were super friendly & patient, went above and beyond to help us, and made the experience a breeze. Plus, it feels good to shop small & local for the holidays, and who doesn't like a quality olive oil? (Most people do.) We will be back. And lastly, I wish The Olive Tree continued success (it is well-deserved)!

They were out of their famous guacamole so I will have to whip up my own with the 2 not so ripe avocados I overpaid for. It's better than going to Stop and S**t market or King Crap market so I'll give them 3.5 stars!!

I've been buying groceries from this establishment for quite some time. My mother has been for…read moredecades and still shops there and refuses to stop due to the 'convenience' of the location pertaining to where she currently resides. However, this review is not to sing their praises. It's to confirm what past reviews were saying and that a substantial portion of the prepackaged and precooked food they sell is actually expired. And that they will have employees switch the "Use By:" dates on expired items. Recently, after opening a fettucine alfredo that was supposed to be good for 4 more days, the smell was almost unbearable. Ive had blatant expiration issues with eggplant parmigiana and rollatini, chicken cutlets, chicken parmigiana, chicken meatballs, spaghetti and meatballs, breaded salmon, and my personal favorite "pasta alla vodka" (don't ask me what kind of pasta... its thick flat wavy noodles that shouldn't be fed to animals let alone humans in my opinion) chicken pizzaiola and many other products have also had blatant sauce separation with a watery glaze displaying potential expiration just from a first glance, foul odors and if you dare to consume something questionable... it may seem like it was not the worst thing. But, am finding out it can obviously be detrimental to one's health. They were not always this bad. Like I've said, I too have shopped there and enjoyed many of their precooked meals. But years ago, the quality suddenly dropped and I refuse to go near this place any longer and grocery shop elsewhere now. When I noticed some of these items in an ill relatives fridge and have heard other complaints just by word of mouth... I decided to search for any similar experiences and have found I am nowhere near alone on having this experience with the same item category. I'm hoping they change practices or they should no longer be selling these products unless they're made fresh to order.

The portion size for herbs is ginormous -- much more for the price than my prior online grocer and even the farmer's market. (In fact, the helpings of chives, dill, sage, and the like, have been so big that I've shared some with my neighbor and still have more than I can use.) Over the months, I've also ordered swordfish, skate, chicken breasts, ground chicken, and ground turkey, and all were good. I also liked the blue cheese and pork sausage, both by itself and as transformed by me into Scotch eggs (really delicious). Some chicken sausage I got seemed less than fresh, but candidly, I'm not sure how long I let them sit before I opened the package, so that could be on me. One week, I got the wrong kind of peas by mistake, but the staff was very helpful in trying to fix the error and I ended up getting a full credit for what I ordered. Bottom line -- I'm a fan.
