What's up with this apocalyptic supermarket?! It was really spooky in here. I couldn't find a single thing I was looking for. I didn't explore the dry goods or the dairy or the meat sections but I can say for certain that the fresh produce section was ominously empty. I would not recommend shopping here if you have a specific grocery list - Chances will probably be that you won't find what you need in this desolate place. read more

I really appreciate this stop and shop in particular. Today the florist department was closed due to overwhelming orders. But Jessica my favorite stop and shop employee! Ohh my gosh whata kind heart. It's my Anniversary today. And i love love the way Jessica raps up my flowers all the time. But i was sooo thankful she took time away from her other duties to help me out. Stop & Shop is good because I find their prices usually to be good and they stock or items and variety to be good.

Spent 15 min picking out a steak in Blackstone. After getting about 150.00 of other foods went to checkout to find steak didn't have a price on it. Cashier called the manager who took it and came back with a whole different steak???? WTF. I could not believe this, it's not a box of cereal. Arguing with this guy was pointless, he had no clue. Happy to say I have never been back to this or any other stop and shop. Sending complaints fell on deaf ears read more

My five star rating is for the folks working at Stop & Shop during the Covid-19 crisis. This location was mostly stocked early AM on April 4 2020 during the height of the crisis. There was toilet paper, paper towels and hand soap on the shelves which was a rare find. A properly shielded worker greeted us (from 6 feet away)as we entered the store and had a sanitized cart ready. We worked our way from side to side and ended up in the deli/produce area. The deli was only taking online/app orders. So I quickly opened the stop and shop app on my phone and ordered a lb of Boars-head turkey, and lb of Boars-head roast beef. The order was ready in 10 minutes. We left spending $215 and had everything we wanted and more. read more

Kalyn Meyer often put customers on hold for too long. She was rude and unhelpful. Poor communication. Maybe your employee does have a bad attitude. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It's embarrassing. Rick Newton, this man has no business being a manager or supervisor of any kind and any place! He is rude, ignorant, not patient, and lacks compassion. Recently re-grand opening. We have been shopping here on and off for the past 10 years. More convenient than Shaws or Stop and Shop in Franklin, or Market Basket in Bellingham, but sometimes the place was kind of a wreck. Empty shelves, sad looking veg and fruit. They have done remodeling and take me away butcher and seafood counter, expanded deli and cooked foods. Better stocked, more aisles opened and two EV charging stations in the front now. Place is much improved in terms of product and service. read more

Sometimes this can be a little bit of a zoo, at busier times. I do like to take advantage of the gas points when I've accumulated enough for at least 20 cents off. My car takes premium so this can be a good deal. Stop & Shop isn't the cheapest source of gas in the neighborhood, but it certainly is convenient! read more

First they have self check out and limit lines open with cashier so your forced to do it. Now they are charging for bags. Neither is beneficial to customers just meant to increase corporate profits. Don't try that it's good for the environment when u sell a paper bag for 2x what it costs. Prices keep going up while service going down. I shop on line and pick up the order. The last three times I have received only 1/3 or 1/2 of my order. Everything else they were "out of stock". Were they really out of stock of S&S turkey breast? What's the use of this market if they don't have what I need. If I'm going to pay ridiculous prices I will shop at Dave's. I think it's time to go to Market Basket. Also, sometimes the fruit I buy gets thrown away as soon as I get home because it shouldn't have been sold in the first place. It's inedible. read more

Very frustrated by this store. Produce section was full of holes and the product I needed was missing. I asked a worker if they had any and was told yes but on a pallet out back but it would be a half hour before they would get to it. 45 minutes later I tried to find it and was told they didn't get to it. Come on. Are you short handed? So many people need jobs hire some and educate your staff about good customer service. Luckily another grocery store had the one item I needed but sad I had to go to another store to buy it. Guess it's time to take all my business elsewhere. read more

We normally shop at Big Y but occasionally need a few random things and come here since it's close but I've decided I'm never coming here again. On a few occasions I've bought something and got home and realized it's expired. Last time, I got a package of turkey pepperoni and although it wasn't expired, it was completely moldy. The employees are terrible. The shelves are always a mess and nothing is ever pulled forward. The meat section is sparse at best AND the prices are ridiculous! The only redeeming quality is that silly robot that drives around... it makes me smile. read more

While the title of this listing is for "Super" Stop&Shop, this one really isn't that super. It's one of the smaller stores and could desperately use a remodel. It looks built within the last ten years, but still has the older look for Stop&Shop and doesn't compare to the other nearby locations that have been remodeled. It also has a lot less than the other stores in the area, as they only have twenty one aisles in comparison to twenty five at the some others. That being said, it's the staff that make this store worth 4 stars, in comparison to 2.5 or 2. All three of the managers here, Grant, Kristin, and Ray are all super friendly, helpful, kind, and want to make their customers have the best experience at their store and are satisfied. They are constantly trying to improve their store, make it cleaner, more organized and at a higher quality of shopping. While they cannot make the store larger or remodel it (that would be corporate's choice... I believe), they definitely keep improving. On the benefit side, the store is extremely organized and clean, has those super cool SCAN-IT guns, Self Checkout, and even a Stop&Shop Gas Station outside. It does get extremely busy, especially on the weekends, but is the best option for groceries in the area. Especially as the only other option is Price Rite in Woonsocket, which has a really sketchy atmosphere. Located on Pulaski Boulevard in Bellingham, in the Allouette Shopping Center, right by the RI border. 4 stars for this grocery store. read more

This location is the best around. They always have what you need and more. I am a regular Sunday morning shopper at this place, sales start on Saturday though. The produce is always fresh and conveniently located next to the bakery/pastry area. Next I proceed to the isle of bargains, at least that is what I call it. I do not know if every location has one but it saves me the time of having to go down every isle to check out what is on sale. (I know I could just look at the flyer but what fun is that ;) The meat selection is another winner. I find everything easily and do not have to ask the big guy in the white coat with meat stains on it. The steaks are excellent. For the people who like the organic stuff, they also have the dedicated isle for them located near the dairy section. Ok, it might be half an isle, all right - a 1/4 isle. But still available non the less. It does have a pharmacy, flower area, and the ever-present Citizens Bank. They also sell the every entertaining scratch tickets and movie rentals. I use the self-checkouts, much quicker at the right time of day. And that brings me to my next point - Customer Service!! What can I say it is very important to me. (Residual bitterness from servicing the public for 12 years) But i digress... This little pet peeve has pushed this to the 5 star rating and I would even go higher if i could. I always seem to find the self-checkout register with the person who does not know how it works. But as soon as i mentally berate them the wonderful employee comes to my rescue, uh, their rescue. You cannot swing a dead cat without hitting an employee and they actually have a smile on their face. Who would have thought?? p.s. You need to check the sales flyer, they have different prices for different stores. read more

This location is poorly managed. Produce is always rotting or moldy. Many things are expired and still sitting on the shelf. This is common in their bread section. Always use caution when selecting wraps and pita bread as those most often have mold and are past date. Several departments seem to be lacking. Used pea pod to pick up an order and it was over 30 min late. We are now done shopping this location for good. Horribly run store. Read many of these reviews and I see I am not alone. read more

I went shopping for the first time yesterday since social distancing. My husband has been to the local Market Basket and was very impressed with their safety measures. I however was disgusted with Stop & Shop. Many of their own employees were not wearing masks or gloves. This included the girl bagging my groceries. Many people were not following the one way system up and down the aisles and were leaving carts unattended. At Market Basket employees were in place to ensure social distancing guidelines, reminding people when they did not follow them. Very disappointed with Stop & Shop for not enforcing the governor's guidelines!! read more

I never would have thought to leave a review of a super market but this placed sucked! I walked in and asked my boyfriend "are these the really floors or are they under construction?" Sadly, those are the real floors. Concrete with Cheeto wrappers and other trash right when I walked in...what a nice welcome! I have decided not to patronize this store any more unless absolutely necessary. They have goofed up more scanner orders at checkout than I can imagine. They always seem to have a new or different manager. The employees I have dealt with are inept and poor at what they do. The managers seem to be unhelpful when it comes to handleing complaints. I still use Stop & Shop but go to Franklin or North Smithfield. From my experience those stores are well managed and their employees do a good job. read more

I've been to many stop and shops and this is the most unprofessional store. On several occasions I have found drug needles in the bathroom and beer cans on shelves. I told the manager but he didn't seem to care. How are people sapose to bring there children in a store like this? Although the store manager was very unprofessional the employees were very helpful especially the young man and the older gentleman from the milk section. Another complaint is the deli department. They are very unprofessional and looked like convicts. on several occasions I've seen the new store manager bashing employees out on the floor which is unprofessional. stopped in today to buy some potatoes. usually I do Wal-Mart for national brands, and market basket for $100+ shopping. and many times market basket is much better across the board, especially on proteins. this stop and shop really over charges consumers, I mean over the top. cold cuts are a ripoff, the 4.99 potatoes would only cost 2.99 at Market basket!!! it seem S&S just prices things randomly, with whatever they can get away with. but this is a Dutch owned Company, and could probably care less about it customers. Ok, I used to go to the store every few days to pick up a couple of items. Selection is very good. Meats, baked stuff, and even a few specialty items like cheddar jalapeno burger patties pre made make it worth a stop. However, the last few times Ive gone have been bad. Recently I was cruising through the 12 items or less SELF checkout. Ive learned to use self checkout after a few annoying conversations with staff that seemed completely clueless. A fifty year old plus bag clerk counted my items as I was bagging them, found fourteen, poked me in the arm and told me "This is for twelve items you know. Dont let this happen again." like I was her idiot kid. Ive gotten attitude from the bag boys and gals before on a few occasions. Telling a customer they are doing something wrong should be reserved for major infractions, not just making yourself feel better about your crappy job. Im a retail guy myself, and when your profit margin is under 5% in a good year like with most supermarkets, you dont want the scumbag staff screwing with people and driving it down to 2.5. Screw you Stop and shop. I'll go three miles down the road for exactly the same products until you put in ALL self serve isles and fire the idiots working the checkout. Unbelievable. read more

Horrible and mean gas attendant. I just got yelled at because my gas is on the driver side and I maneuvered the car so that I would be able to fill up on the only available filling station. He said I drove into the lot the wrong direction. Which I did not. But anyways, excuse me I am not from this area, I don't deserve to have someone come and chastise me for filling up on gas that I am paying for. Will never stop there again. read more

Been to all of the Stop & Shop's in the surrounding towns and the Bellingham store is hands down the loser. Very expensive, most likely due to the fact that there really isn't much competition in the general area since theShaw's on Diamond Hill shut down, so unless you want to travel to Market Basket, you're going to pay. I found the store to be kind of run down and poorly stocked - the check out is horrible - my last visit was on a Saturday, typically a busy day for supermarkets, and they only had two regular registers open and two "self serve" registers open. I'll stick with Market Basket - the prices can't be beat, and at least when it's busy they open registers. read more

I made the mistake of stopping "quickly" in yesterday to grab a few things instead of driving to N. Smithfield. My goodness the store and employees were even worse than the last time I was there in October...I was going to make chili and needed 2 packages of 85% hamburger. So I ran in to grab that and a few other things. The store was very crowded (zoo like) because the Pats were playing, I witnessed employees cut patrons off in the aisles without saying excuse me (it was kind of like sport for them, very odd). The meat department wasn't well stocked at all, I assume because everyone was cooking for the game. The hamburger section in particular was pretty empty, no 85% burger. I walked over to the where the butchers work and waited 5 minutes for the Manager (ADAM) of the meat department to even acknowledge me, he saw me but continued to work pretending I wasn't there. I finally said "excuse me", he walked over and stood at the window glaring at me. He never said "can I help you?", "Hello", not a peep! I finally said "hello. how are you today?". He didn't respond, I asked if he had any 85% ground beef as there was none out front? He never said a word, just walked away and got a bin, labeled a few and brought one out to me...I needed two, so he had to go back and get another one for me...he brought it out and handed it to me, still not saying a word. I said "thank you and have a great day"...he's a manager, a leader of the company. He is supposed to lead by example and set the expectations of the rest of the employees of this store. His poor attitude and complete contempt for me was heard loud and clear....Adam if you're that miserable you need to find a different profession. I finally finished my shopping and went to check out. I found a line that wasn't too long, only one person in front of me and they were almost done checking out. I placed the divider bar on the belt and then removed all my items from the basket. I stood there listening to the check out person "Sandra" complain non stop to the people in front of me about how tired she was. She was a train wreck, she was either drunk or on something, She looked like she just rolled out of bed. Her hair was filthy, tied up with an elastic but most of it falling out, she was talking non stop, most of which didn't make any sense. She would stop working and start looking around and start making comments about things, it was very bizarre. I could tell the people in front of me just wanted to leave but tried hard to be polite, however they were engaging her to continue with her craziness by being nice to her. The person bagging was finishing up and the Cashier looked down and noticed she didn't ring up a package of "blistex". She tried to hide it because the people had already finished paying but she saw me watching her. She took the receipt from the register and glanced at it quickly and said " I'm too tired to see if I scanned this or not, here just take it" !!!!! and handed the package of blistex to the customer. I don't think they understood what was going on, so the man just put it in his pocket and they left. I don't know why I was so surprised but it shocked me to see how the cashier handled the situation. Now it's my turn, I push my basket thru to where the bagger is and ask him to please put as much in bags as possible as I don't like to waste them. He says no problem, very nice kid. The cashier asks how are you and I say fine thank you. I don't dare ask how she is because for the last 5 minutes I've already heard all about how tired she is....sure enough she starts. "I'm so tired, I just want to go home and sleep, I could lie down right here and sleep, I want to walk out of here and not come back", etc, etc, etc....I do not acknowledge her behavior at all and she stops talking...she gets it, I am not playing her game. Ok, now it's time to ring in the hamburger, for some reason it does not barcode in, she tries typing it, still nothing. Another cashier comes over to assist, she tries several times and finally figures out what the issue is and it rings in, my cashier never asked "hey, how did you do that so next time I will know how to do it" she is too busy leaning on the counter behind her talking to the next cashier, watching people, making comments, etc.....the other cashier walks away and my cashier is too busy not working so she doesn't notice! I'm standing there waiting and she's standing there not working! Crazy....she finally gets back to doing her job and finishes up my order. I will give her credit she noticed that she missed a coupon on a package and asked the bagger to grab it so she could scan it in. I pull out my cash to pay ( had several hundred dollars as I needed to make a deposit) she comments on my money...are you kidding me?... I pay and run for my car. As I put my bundles in my car I am confronted by a homeless man begging for $, perfect ending to shopping at this store. I gave him $5 just so I wouldn't get mugged....NEVER AGAIN. read more

hello to the working people who sped thousands of dollars every year at stop and shop in bellingham ma. i also spend thousands of dollars yearly at stop & shop but today i received rude and unnessary treatment from and employee that really set me off. i will not return there again after the action of this young lady. her inability to listen to a question, her rude behavior in the product isle, her marching me back to the isle where i told her my item was not there,them pulling down 4 boxes like i was an idiot and yes friends they where as i had told her that was not what i wanted, after my first trip all the way back then walking to another isle only to have her wave her hand and continue walk she said there up there on the left again she was wrong but that left wondering . i never found my item so i pushed my cart at the end of register and walked out never will i return. and i left a roast in the carriage so who knows whats for super i was to upset to another store so i came home and call and got the assistant manager i hope my complaint go's on her file. we may be getting older but we are not dirt to be treated that way. hope to see you at market basket. read more
