Chicken fried steak was good. Mac and cheese portion was tiny. It came out in a small condiment cup. At first glance I thought it was butter for the roll. It had a good taste but the cheese was incredibly thick to the point that it tore the pasta apart trying to get it out. Roll was dry and hard. The service was awful. Our waitress was attentive at first and then she disappeared. Don't know if her shift ended or what but we never saw her again. The three employees standing by the register ignored us. I never got my drink refilled one time. They would occasionally glance our way but went back to ignoring us. We had to go up to the register in order to get our check. Complimentary beverage bar tucked away in the corner with coffee, tea, and soda. And lids and straws that make it handy to take one with you when you hit the road. Which in our case didn't take long based on the smoke smell and the fact that we had some small winnings in a relatively short amount of time. We've all walked into those truckstop casinos and been overwhelmed by smoke and underwhelmed by the facility. So Opal and Pearl were pleasantly surprised to walk into the StoneWolf! Parking was no problem in the huge lot and entering the door, the ladies were greeted by a pleasant young woman. You can turn right into the grill or left into the casino and bar area. This was nice, because the ladies were worried their preacher might see them going into the casino! They were seated in a beautifully decorated restaurant area. No roadside diner here! The tables were clean and well provisioned with salt, pepper, condiments, steak sauce and the usual necessities. The walls were decorated with wood panels and a stacked stone façade. Pretty pendant lights provide good, but discreet, lighting for the tables. Plenty of wait staff in clean and attractive uniforms were on hand to ensure quick and efficient service. And they were friendly! The menu was not too Papa Bear or too Momma Bear, it was more Baby Bear: it was just right. Appetizers include "Chicken Fried Mushrooms" and "Chips and Salsa" and salads include a "Southwest Cobb Salad" and a "Caesar Salad." Sandwich offerings were "Grilled Chicken," the "Angus Burger," and a "Club Sandwich." Entrees include a "NY Strip Steak," "Reserve Rib-eye," "Chicken-Fried Shrimp," "Fettuccine Alfredo," and their signature "Chicken Fried Steak." The signature steak is a nine-ounce hand breaded and deep fried steak! Dessert offerings included "Strawberry Cobbler," a "Chocolate Mousse with Brownie a la Mode," and "Key Lime Island Pie." Pearl had the "Cuban Panini" and Opal the "Turkey Panini." Both ladies were thrilled with their orders. The Cuban had pulled pork, ham, Swiss cheese, red onions, and brown mustard. She added an order of French fries that were about one inch thick and perfectly seasoned! Opal's Panini was stuffed with turkey breast and what she calls 'salad' (lettuce and tomatoes!). "The chipotle mayonnaise really adds a kick," she told Pearl. The portions were perfect sized, but Pearl was trying to save room for the Key Lime Pie! "That's a spicy onion," Opal sputtered as she bit into her sandwich. "Onions ARE spicy, Opal," Pearl pointed out. "Not that spicy," Opal said. Pearl tried her purple onion and had to agree. Big downside was I brought my son that has acute asthma. The place was a bit smokey and smelled like an ashtray (big surprise there since it's a casino). It amazes me how people who don't smoke will knowingly go to one of the last few places where people are allowed to smoke and they still complain about the smoking. I just quit after thirty-four years and it doesn't bother me, but then I'm not whiny. Howler's is amazing! The food is top notch for what basically amounts to a casino diner, the prices are good, and the staff are absolutely amazing. They've got one of the better burgers I've had in Oklahoma and on Wednesday nights they're only $4.99 with a side so we do that at least once a month. Their barbecue is outstanding, the ribs are worth armed robbery charges, and I'll slap you and steal your fried pickles! They've got a lunch special every day for $6.99 with a side and drink, and even though they no longer have my precious fried catfish on the menu, they've never let me down. They don't even gouge too badly on the alcohol prices... I guess it's one of the perks of having casino money coming in! read more

I thought this would be a very nice place to eat at for father's day, drove about 30 minutes, and as soon as we walked in, it instantly smelt like cigarette smoke. We thought okay, this is part of a casino so that's normal. After 30 minutes of being here and seated we are finally able to order. Didn't have what we wanted, which we understand and kinda shrugged it off. The waitress was rude, late, slacking, and disrespectful. The food was okay at best. We had to go to the back to refill our drinks ourself, get napkins ourself, and find her because she went missing forever. Meant for it to be a genuine father's day lunch but everyone ended up mad and annoyed. If you mess up and are polite and apologize, kindness goes a long way. On the advice of a friend, we drove out here (45 mins) specifically to try the BBQ at Howlers in the Casino and to have a nice night with a little gambling. The casino is very nice, very clean and very modern. We won a bit a money and the bottles of beer were only $2! Awesome. We were suitably impressed with the brisket and ribs. Nice flavor, very moist. We also liked the BBQ sauces, which for us is hard in NE Oklahoma, as we find them too sweet a lot of times. These were quite good. We had the potato chip appetizer with bleu cheese dip and I love that. Chips were were very crispy, like kettle chips. Yum! For sides we had cole slaw, (just okay), fries, (average) grilled green beans, which were great, but not enough of them and the zesty mac and cheese. Wow. It seems it was a japaleno jack/velveeta cheese sauce stuff. The sauce was crazy good and my husband was dipping the potato chips into the cheese sauce. However, the sauce completely over whelmed the macaroni. Too bad. Service was great. We were seated right away, Austin, our server was spot on. Food came out in a timely manner. The con - it is a casino. It smells like smoke. As a non smoker, (and I was expecting it ) the smell almost knocked me over. As I sat there, though, my senses evened out. My husband and I went to StoneWolf Casino for a business function and overall we enjoyed our experience. The casino was open and very well ventilated. I have severe asthma, so I could spend time in the casino and not feel overwhelmed by the smoke. There was people smoking in there, but the air was fairly well clear. The staff was very friendly and the casino was extremely clean. I am not much of a gambler, but with the friendly atmosphereand clean facility I will definitely go back to the casino. However, when we first arrived we went straight to the Howler, the in-casino restaurant. My husband ate the pork steak and I ate the chicken fried steak. Overall, I guess the meal was good. My husband really enjoyed the BBQ sauce that was in the table, he enjoyed the flavor. I did not care for the sides that came with my meal, the mac and cheese came to my table and it was cold and undercooked. Also, I have never been to a restaurant where there do not serve mashed potatoes. In Oklahoma, mashed potatoes is a staple with chicken fried steaks, or any meal. While I would definitely go to the casino again, I am not so sure that I would eat at the restaurant again. I might be convinced to try them again if I am going with a group of people woi want to eat at the restaurant, but I will not go just to eat at the Howler. read more

To begin, I am rating this place for what it is, a restaurant inside a casino. There's no way around the fact that anything inside a casino is going to have a horrible smoke stench. Stone Wolf and Howler's in particular are light on the smoke for a casino, but that's like only rubbing a little bit of chili powder into your eyes instead of a fistful of pain. Still, enough of that. If you're willing to tolerate a casino's smoke in the first place, you're already here and you're hungry. Let's see how the food actually is. I had a "small" order of ribs, fried okra, and cole slaw. By "small" I mean a good sized meal which was more than enough to fill me when I was quite hungry. I suspect large is a size designated for people who enjoy eating a day's worth of food at one sitting and people who don't mind sharing a meal. What I am saying is that these are generous but not quite obscene portions. I'm a huge fan of fried okra. This fried okra is the same stuff you'll find at most American restaurants across the state. Nothing particularly notable, but reliably decent. The ribs were solid. They would barely stay on the bone, the sauce was mild yet complimented the meat quite well, and it tasted like what chain restaurant ribs wished they were. There's nothing exotic or daring here, just some great ribs. The cole slaw was a travesty. What was meant to be "Honey Lime Coleslaw" tasted like cabbage soaked in milk. There was no tang, very little sweetness, and it was the one part of my meal I didn't bother to finish. So, you may be asking why this restaurant deserves four stars. It sounds like three from the food alone. The price is reasonable but not amazing. The drinks are cheap but again not amazing. The staff though, they're great people. Service was timely, people were very nice, and the general manager of the restaurant was walking the floor and ensuring everyone was satisfied with their meal. If you're going to a casino already or if the scent of smoke doesn't bother you, Howler's is definitely worth trying. Skip the cole slaw, order some barbecue, and enjoy an American style restaurant that has the comfort of a chain and the genuine appeal of not being a chain. read more

Very stingy, tight machines with little wheelchair accessibility. No gluten free food available in the restaurant. Visited on a Saturday night and hardly busy at all. That surprised me.
