They will pick up from your front porch or wherever you want to leave them for pickup, the scissors or knives you want sharpened, and deliver them back you, sharpened to as good as new, generally within an hour or so, and at a sharpening price per item of scissors or knife that is truly reasonable especially when compared to some of the local hardware stores that require you to drop them off with them, and then wait three or four days to get them back to go back and pick them up, and generally charge more per item. It's a relatively new business run by a good fellow named Martin Kalberer, and he is trying to build the business, and I told him I would post this high recommendation because I'm truly impressed not only by the quality of the sharpening, but also by the ease of getting them picked up and dropped off and again at a truly reasonable price. On her passing, I got it back and it was not in prime shape. Tip bent, damage to the blade, dents to the spine, etc. Not pretty at the last, but it was her workhorse of the kitchen and she loved it for decades. I took it to John and he did a fantastic job of removing damage to the blade, tip, and spine. Results - As sharp as it was when new, properly beveled, tip trimmed and belly curve well done, and most spine dents removed, but reminders of character remain. Now it's MY workhorse of the kitchen (along with a 10" Mercer and a 6" Vic paring knife). Done quickly, professionally, and with care. Great job overall and all my blades will go to John for treatment.
