On several occasions it's not open on time. No excuse for that. Has occurred on several occasions.

The owner David is extremely welcoming and is always willing to help out either by answering questions, spotting, training, etc. The same goes for Coach Drew who I was happy to have as my personal trainer. I wouldn't have gotten as far as I did with either of their help but more so with Coach Drew as he's the one that started my training and has kept tabs on where I was in my strength training journey. (He kept the sessions fun and I made great progress with him as my trainer ) As I said above, this is a small gym but it's got everything you need to get a good workout in and the owner and Drew are great trainers so you've pretty much got everything you need. I like that it was small because that meant it never felt crowded. You are able to come whenever you want because you'll have a card to get in which is what I've done a number of times when the gym was "closed". If you're looking for a smaller gym and great trainers, then I highly recommend you check out this place.

I've never actually done any training at Kinex other than the Tues/Thurs Evening and Saturday morning bootcamp classes, so this review won't cover any of that. However, the facility is new and clean, and has plenty of equipment. The trainers that I've met all seem friendly and competent, and it looks like they're doing a thorough job with clients during the times that I've been at Kinex for boot camp. I started going to their boot camp classes soon after Kinex opened. Sam and Jordan have done a pretty great job with the classes the entire time, and it doesn't matter if only two people show up or 15 show up - all the classes have been great. They have a good mix of workouts, and it doesn't feel like there are a lot of repeats, even week to week. They focus heavily on core workouts, and my abs/obliques always feel great after a class. Sam and Jordan do a good keep the classes fun and talk and joke with the participants. They usually have some kind of music playing to help distract you from the hard work you're doing. If you're looking for a boot camp class, I can definitely recommend the ones at Kinex.

Now back in 2025 and I can see some improvements. They have a lot of different machines and free weights, spaces to do Gtx classes, hot yoga, cycling, morning runs, pickle ball... I mean, you pay for what you get. I love that the women have their own sauna and hot tub, and can use the coed by the pool as well. It's never so crowded that you can't get machines and the staff is actually helpful. I definitely recommend.

As we were on our way to Galveston for our week long cruise, we booked a stay in Webster to do touristy things and this lifetime was a whopping 4 min drive from our hotel. I'm impressed with the cafe, locker rooms and kids club! As usual, the amenities are consistent with our home LT in Austin, the front desk always was welcoming at 6am for me running in, getting my workout in and then leaving. I find the studio classrooms are slightly smaller but the instructor Melanie was still great at 7:30am on a Friday, I was a little jealous that this LT has amazing classes that start at 5:30am for the folks who love their early bird hours in the day and impressed to see it was waitlisted! I dropped our 5 year old for a little of the kids club and even decided if we wanted to do Parents Night out at this LT, as this one doesn't seem to have a waitlist, our Austin North location separated by age groups for the younger kids vs older kids but this LT seemed to have less enrollment which probably means all the kids get to play together. The pools were huge and I'm sure if we weren't visiting during the winter freeze, the outdoor slides and pools would be more popular! I thought it was neat to see the individual hot tubs inside the locker rooms and steam room and saunas, although my husband and I occasionally like to have our sauna time together. Overall, the floors and machines were well kept, my cafe experience for coffee, smoothies and food consistent and the fact that we could have a space to explore while we were in town was fun to boot! Normally we visit the LT sugar land location as my parents are in SW Houston so this was a treat to try something new! Thank you LT Baybrook for keeping us healthy and entertaining us on our few days in the area! :) Looking forward to returning if and when we're in the Clear Lake NASA bubble!

The club manager is not responsible for the updating of the Black Spa area! I don't think Black Spa members should pay for an incomplete service.

Had already considered the typical failure of finding a fancy gym, hiring a trainer to get me started, stop using the trainer because of the cost, eventually stop going, then continue to pay out a gym contract I wasn't using. Did it over and over. Then I called Sidney. His setup was perfect for me. He is a trainer with his own gym. He is very reasonable in price. I would be shocked if someone found a trainer that charges any less than double than what Sidney charges. In fact, if you were lucky enough to find one, you more than likely still need to pay a gym membership. He is seriously that reasonable. I was 229 pounds when I started with Sidney in January 2017. 7 months later I was 175 and the fittest I've ever been in my life. My doctor took me off my cholesterol meds and acid reflux meds. No more damn pills!!!! Without a doubt, Sidney's structured 8 workouts (cardio and weights) are the biggest reason I've been successful, but he also coaches his clients on the foods we eat. He's very knowledgeable in his craft. I've met way too many 20 year old "trainers" that may have certifications, but no real life experience with actual people working all day then going in for a workout. Sidney spent many years in the oil and gas business before starting his business. He 'gets' us working folk trying to do right. He's not a rah rah trainer, and he won't chase you down looking for you. He works out using the exact same routines. His motto seems to be setting an example for his clients and being there for them. He really enjoys watching our excitement when we start seeing our bodies change. It's weird looking back. It was a process. Not a fad. He just takes you day-to-day, not pushing you too hard, but just enough to advance. When you have a bad workout, and you voice it, he encourages you and disagrees. You made it in, you worked out. It was good. If you're looking for someone that 'gets' most of us and likely knows exactly what you're struggling with, you should stop by and chat with him. I'll tell you though, he's not one to sit there and sell his service. He will describe it pretty well, but his best selling technique is done when you get there to workout. Good luck!!!!
