The manager and personal trainers are very knowledgeable and into USPA powerlifting. A lot of times you can ask them questions and they give great answers on maybe how to adjust something you are having trouble with or give ideas on new things if you ask. I have used different facilities LA Fitness, 24 hour, Lifetime, and Equinox, and the environment here is just very good if you are trying to improve on your fitness goals. It isn't a huge facility, but in March/April they are going from like 3200 sq feet to 9000 sq feet, and getting a larger variety and quantity of equipment (more power racks and machines). They have more of what you need and less of the things you don't need. Sometimes at the other huge big name facilities they have a lot of equipment you don't need or use along with a crowd of people that aren't there to really work out. I actually signed up for personal training along the way, and have seen all my numbers go up pretty fast. I guess it could be beginner gains, but I have been using different gyms and doing programs off bodybuilding.com programs for years. I never really got my numbers up until working with the personal trainers here, and the knowledge they have is very good and different then what I found reading bodybuilding.com or other things on the internet. I think if you live in the general area of this facility you really shouldn't over look it. I also came in with some lower back pain and after going to a hospitals physical therapy center and working with them for 6 months 3 times a week I ended up with no significant improvement. Since working out with a trainer here I have removed the pain, and increased my strength significantly. I can't thank these guys enough.

I…read morecan say this company is really doing it right when it comes to taking care of their facilities and patrons. I believe I first joined in 2018 and cancelled during COVID. Now back in 2025 and I can see some improvements. They have a lot of different machines and free weights, spaces to do Gtx classes, hot yoga, cycling, morning runs, pickle ball... I mean, you pay for what you get. I love that the women have their own sauna and hot tub, and can use the coed by the pool as well. It's never so crowded that you can't get machines and the staff is actually helpful. I definitely recommend.

As we were on our way to Galveston for our week long cruise, we booked a stay in Webster to do touristy things and this lifetime was a whopping 4 min drive from our hotel. I'm impressed with the cafe, locker rooms and kids club! As usual, the amenities are consistent with our home LT in Austin, the front desk always was welcoming at 6am for me running in, getting my workout in and then leaving. I find the studio classrooms are slightly smaller but the instructor Melanie was still great at 7:30am on a Friday, I was a little jealous that this LT has amazing classes that start at 5:30am for the folks who love their early bird hours in the day and impressed to see it was waitlisted! I dropped our 5 year old for a little of the kids club and even decided if we wanted to do Parents Night out at this LT, as this one doesn't seem to have a waitlist, our Austin North location separated by age groups for the younger kids vs older kids but this LT seemed to have less enrollment which probably means all the kids get to play together. The pools were huge and I'm sure if we weren't visiting during the winter freeze, the outdoor slides and pools would be more popular! I thought it was neat to see the individual hot tubs inside the locker rooms and steam room and saunas, although my husband and I occasionally like to have our sauna time together. Overall, the floors and machines were well kept, my cafe experience for coffee, smoothies and food consistent and the fact that we could have a space to explore while we were in town was fun to boot! Normally we visit the LT sugar land location as my parents are in SW Houston so this was a treat to try something new! Thank you LT Baybrook for keeping us healthy and entertaining us on our few days in the area! :) Looking forward to returning if and when we're in the Clear Lake NASA bubble!

I wasn't aware the kids club had a daily fee, and when I mentioned that she dismissed me and didn't even ask if I wanted to make a payment for the day. This is by far the worse front desk service of all LA Fitness in all Houston area locations, this…read morepertains primarily to the morning service as this is the time I visit. The service for the past 9 months has been non-existent. For the existing LA members let you facility know about the service so that the establishment can fix the situation. The service here has NO "acknowledgement", NO "have a good workout", NO eye contact, NO "Good Morning" NO INTERACTION whatsoever. Putting your scanner on the counter, continue to watch social media and not acknowledging the member is unacceptable. Front desk is the face of the company, first interaction with their members. I have brought this up to the facility twice and no clear outcome that is will fix the situation not with me personally but for this location. This issue was brought up six months ago and was addressed, it was a tad bit better for one week and back to the normal rude behavior. This comes down to the management team, listen to the members, bring up the issue, have warning and consequences and address the problem as needed. Domyour due diligence, check cameras, ask your morning members, or even ask corporate to do a survey. Once in a while the behavior is tolerable, as people we all have our own personal issues but nine months of the repetitive behavior is just not right. Think - what position is csr front desk? Happy smiling, contact service, fake it even if you have to smile service. I'm sure LA Fitness didn't hire someone to play on the phone during the shift to bring this attitude. Well, to be honest, local mgmt did address the issues, they pointed out to the intended front desk that I was the person to address this issue. That person now knows who is complaining and my service from the front Desk is solved but they does not do justice for the other members of the facility, I have nothing personal with this person and nothing against that person. If I was managing the facility I would have done better than treat this as an isolated incident. As very recent changes has seen that I am not the source of the problem but I am trying to do a service to the company. Anyways I have send in my cancellation mail, I will not be coming to this particular gym. On a bright side, As overall LA Fitness is pretty good, it was just this particular gym that bothers me a little, I am contemplating about canceling still because as a whole most All LA fitness facilities are satisfactory. Best regards to all
