Pizza choices are not extensive in this part of the world and sadly this place has some of the "better" pizza around. I cringe to eat here given the ridiculous name glorifying a stupid way to pass your time. I hesitate eating here just on principle. Not sure if I should be mad at the restaurant or yelp but my wife ordered online (thru yelp). No confirmation code was given and after driving 15 mins to pickup yelp refunded the order and had to wait another 20 mins because it didn't process. We ordered our pizza at 5:20 pm and was told it would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes so we thought it was great we arrived in 30 min ( 5:50 ) and they could not locate our pizza. At 6:29 the somehow found it on top of the oven. We checked it and it wasn't the pizza we ordered or the pizza that was on the receipt. When we spoke with the Manager on duty ( Victoria) her response was I'm so sorry but we are Really busy and they could make another pizza that would take approximately 45 to 50 minutes but she was really really sorry. This is my third time ordering pizza from the specific location. First time the pizzas took twice as long and the pizza was cold and they did nothing to satisfy us. Second time I tried and I ordered a pizza and they put so much sauce on it that the pizza was soggy. Today was my third visit and my final, when I ordered I requested the cost of delivery. The reason I did so was because it's just down the road and if the delivery fee was a little bit too expensive, I would've gone to get it. When I asked her what the delivery fee was, she told me four dollars. I questioned the total when she gave it to me, but I figured I'd look at the receipt. When I received the pizza, the wings that I ordered were burnt to a crisp and inedible. Pizza was tasty when I looked at my bill. I was charged six dollars for delivery, I called the store. She explained to me that the delivery fee is four dollars and then to a home is an additional two dollars. I asked her if she knew whether or not the delivery fee was six dollars and she said yes. I explained to her that it is unprofessional to lie to your customers in order to get in order. I would not recommend this store, I would not recommend any of their food Not to mention, my wings were burnt to the container and when I picked them.... We tried the sandwiches. Chicken and a steak. The sandwiches were so small slice of pepperoni pizza weighed more than that. The bread was so over toasted. It was like eating pretzel. The amount of filling you get with the sandwich equals to about two tablespoonfuls a product. I'm sure when this place goes out of business the owner won't have a clue why people stop ordering from here The breadsticks were so over cooked and stretched out that the middle parts of it was an edible. read more

Even if I was stoned I wouldn't eat here. Called to place an order and the guy on the phone must be "touched" . I got a pizza deal that comes with up to 5 toppings. He said they couldn't do 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 jalapeño. Why? So I asked for just double pepperoni then. Didn't do that either... why? Make it make sense. Picked it up and the guy was monotoned with a flat affect. Didn't give me the advertised price but at that point I told myself to just pay the $10 more so I could leave. Wings were rubbery and microwaved , pizza was chewy. Thankfully I'm not from here so there's no chance in hell I'd be so desperate for pizza again that I'd waste my time and money on this place. I don't know what changes management put in place but keep them coming. I remember stopping by a year ago when I visited my cousin, the service was horrendous and the food was subpar. But man have they changed thing around. I went tonight after much hesitation and I couldn't have been happier. I had pizza and wings and it didn't taste like before, service was quick and the food was delicious. I don't remember the young lady name (vicky or victoria) but she was nice. Left special instructions to have one pizza cheese only on one quarter, but they did the opposite. One quarter was pepperoni and bacon and the rest was just cheese. We have gotten Stoners a couple times, and each time they weren't exactly super stellar. In fact, two times ago we ordered delivery, they were about 45 minutes late and my pizza was cold. But this last time takes the cake. We were at our neighborhoods pool and we were with some friends. We had planned ahead and ordered for it to be delivered at 5:30 (Or sometime around there). We were waiting and were all starving. We had specific orders so the pizzas would be delivered to the pool. Around 45 minutes later, we were frustrated an called the actual pizza place. She said that it had been delivered TO OUR HOUSE a while ago. When we went to check, it was on our driveway with ANTS on it. I'm not just talking about ants on the box (which still wouldn't have been good), but there were ants ON the pizza. We called, starving and upset. The girl said she would send out a new order for us, to be delivered around 6:30, and she said she would MAKE SURE IT WAS DELIVERED TO THE POOL. It is now around 6:45 and the pizza still hadn't come yet. We called again, and we were transferred to the pizza delivery guy, who was saying he had just delivered our pizza TO THE HOUSE! What the actual heck?! Okay, you made a mistake, forgivable. Just do the task over again and do it right. NOPE! He had done the mistake again, so we cut the party short and rushed home to find the pizza on the front steps this time. No ants, but an hour and a half late. The pizza itself wasn't even good. The pizza is always decent but don't order a salad. This salads description said "slow cooked chicken, ham, and crispy bacon"... $12. instead we got cold low quality breaded chicken that had to have come from a freezer bag, micro diced ham, and what looks like bacon bits. luckily we were refunded with no hassle but we still waited an hour for a salad that won't be eaten. There was a photo on Yelp that i now realize is from years ago of what i thought was this salad. if it is the quality has definitely gone down over the years. Didn't dine in, ordered delivery. Fast delivery, and the calzone was one of the best I've ever had! They use mozz and ricotta in it! On the outside this is something of a place where it looks like you can count on however on the inside not so much. The idea of what they are putting out sounds great however it falls short of what it taste like. I have been here a few times and have given it more than enough chances to make up for it's mistakes but last night was the last straw and I realize, it's not getting any better, but worse! This place is run by kids! It would be okay if they knew what they were doing but they sure don't! Last night I ordered a regular pizza, extra crispy and when it arrived it was a thin crust! It tasted like they took the top of a pizza box and covered it with sauce and cheese. it was disgusting and had no taste. My two year old who loves pizza wouldn't even eat it! The pizza here would be really good, if it was even warm by the time they delivered it. When we got our pizza, it took an hour to be made and delivered. The pizza again would be really good, but by the time we got it, it was cold to the point where the cheese isn't even close to being gooey. We also got cheese bread... again, this might be good if it were warm, but it was not... and it was beyond greasy. Worst pizza experience I have ever had. Ordered the pizza and it took nearly 2 hours to be delivered (a full hour longer than we were told). When the pizza arrived it was cold, and to top it off the delivery driver could not make change, even though we told them we were paying cash when we ordered. I ended up tipping nearly 50% for cold pizza. Called the manager Ryan the next day and was told he could not and would not help us, that after 1 day less than 24 hours he could not pull any records and there is nothing that he could or would do for us. I will never be visiting or shopping from a Stoner's Pizza again, and will recommend for everyone I know to avoid at all costs. I advise the same for others read more

We are really big fans of pizza and this place is one of the worst that we have eaten. We got their philly cheese steak pizza and a cheese pizza. Have visited this eatery 4 times now at the Effingham location and the food is great. Me and a few friends eat in everytime. The place has alot of potential if someone managed them. The pizza and stromboli are top notch, although there just seems to be a lord of the flies type atmosphere. There are way too many workers behind the counter, all very young. This wouldn't usually be an issue, but it just seems there is no management. The music was too loud and I could not hear the cashier. I noticed the speaker for the stereo was directly above my head. The restaurant needs some TLC as I know it is fairly new but you can see the restaurant showing signs of neglect. The restroom needed some cleaning and there was no toilet tissue (thankfully I didn't need it). It is as if there are no paper supplies in the business except pizza boxes that were stack approximately 7 feet high blocking the view of the gentlemen making the pizza. I would think that it was be a novelty to see the pizza being made. Not sure if this is intentional or just not thought out, but felt claustrophobic with the pizza boxes so high. I say there are no paper products because the first visit approximately a month before this post, we received the pizza in a box, but no paper plates and had to ask, but recieved them, as well as asking for napkins as there were none. The waitress walked to the restroom and retrieved some paper towels but was helpful. Subsequently after, every visit was awarded less paper products upon request, to the point where there were neither napkins, plates, paper towels, or toilet tissue in the building. The box of pizza placed in front of us with nothing to eat with. When inquired as to why there are never any napkins, the staff seemed perturbed with the question and had an excuse as to the way they order paper products. Either way, the food is good but I don't see this establishment lasting if they don't tighten up the management of the business. read more

As others mentioned, this place was great for a while but those days are gone. We usually pick up our order since delivery takes forever, always at least an hour and a half. Last few orders have been so bad - we've gotten BBQ wings instead of teriyaki and they weren't fully cooked, wrong crust on pizza, missing toppings, cheese breadsticks with barely any cheese. It goes on and on, we kept hoping they just had a busy night or new staff but we've come to realize there's just no supervision of teenage staff and zero interest in quality. When Stoner's first opened it was so good. We ordered at least once weekly but now we hardly ever order. The last pizza we ordered I'm not sure was even pizza. It looked like the box had been held straight up and it all fell to the bottom. It was just mush. Every time I order a Stromboli they forget to put the sauce in the box. ALWAYS!
