Great cheeseburger and onion rings to die for. Service and presentation were perfect. Pretty cool local joint.

I received food that was completely burnt. They would not fix it and charged extra drinks onto my tab that I never purchased.

Drinks are expensive for the kind of bar it is. Bar menu generally very limited. No draft beers. All bottled!

The food at this location was okay, but the customer service really missed the mark…read more We specifically asked for a baked potato with ranch on the side, but when the food came out, the ranch was already on the potato. I pointed it out right away, and the employee responded, "I told them, but they didn't listen to me," and just walked off. No effort to fix it or take ownership. I ended up taking the potato back to the counter myself and asked for it to be remade. When it was brought back out, the gentleman who delivered it didn't say a word--no apology, no acknowledgment, nothing. What made it more frustrating is that the restaurant wasn't busy at all--we were one of only two tables there. Situations like this are easy opportunities to provide good service, and unfortunately, that didn't happen here

This was a great stop for a casual meal and everything came out just right…read more I ordered a baked potato and a sandwich and both were really good. The baked potato was hot, fresh, and loaded well, and the sandwich was made perfectly with fresh ingredients and great flavor. It was simple food but done the right way, which is exactly what I was hoping for. The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable with a relaxed, easy going atmosphere. Even though it was a busy time, the service stayed friendly and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Overall it was a solid experience with good food, good service, and a convenient spot to grab a satisfying meal. I would definitely come back again when I am in the area.

Antoinette's is a pretty solid restaurant experience, with high quality food and a lovely ambience…read morefor a place of its size. The staff are very nice and welcoming, and Antoinette herself was an absolute delight. We came for the buffet lunch which, honestly, was less of a buffet and more of a live menu where they pick the food out of a tray for you. I think the restaurant would benefit from switching to a paper menu because standing in line waiting for the staff to pick your food one by one person by person was a little bit of an awkward experience. I feel like only getting one piece of fried chicken for a 20$ plate (which, with the credit charge and a drink and tip was pushing into 30$) wasn't great, but the portions on everything else was great. I really liked the food, the greens were well seasoned and really delicious. My boyfriend who doesn't usually like mac n' cheese loved their mac, and we both loved the corn. The candied yam was my highlight, really well cooked and just delicious. The fried chicken wasn't anything crazy but it was good for the one piece that came with my meal. The ribs could be better, they're onto something with the seasonings but the meat was tough and chewy which I didn't really care for. The burner on the ribs also went out which I think is another flaw with their buffet method, which left it lukewarm which was... Fine, just could've been better. The buffet did come with corn bread which I loved, I mean really high quality corn bread it was delicious. Overall the food is pretty good but the rib quality definitely drags it down for me. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant for anyone trying to get some good authentic southern cuisine; after a month in Vidalia this place was a breath of fresh air. I really loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, it was clear the owner put a lot of time, care, and money into making it a high quality dining experience, and one that I think is well on par with a lot of the nice restaurants in Savannah. My only immediate recommendation is either let people pick their food themselves at the buffet (and clarify that it's not all you can eat, other people at my table were confused about not being able to get a second serving) or ditch the buffet entirely. It's a nice idea but it would've been nicer and less awkward to just sit down and order what specifically I wanted. Also maybe hide that massage table by the bathrooms I wasn't sure what was going on there, it's literally the only weird thing with the otherwise delightful atmosphere of the restaurant.

We had the buffet and were pleasantly surprised by everything offered. Adding to the food the service we received was great. GCK is worth the stop and is a place we look forward to going back to.

We walked into Georgia Comfort…read moreKitchen off I-95 on one of those gray, damp Georgia afternoons, and from the first bowl of gumbo, the weather outside stopped mattering entirely. We ordered off the menu rather than the buffet -- though both were available and the buffet looked well-stocked and genuinely tempting. My husband had the Shrimp & Grits: Georgia shrimp over stone-ground grits with andouille sausage, peppers, onions, bacon, and a sherry cream sauce. Rumor had it that was the move, and the rumor was right. The grits alone were the kind you don't stop talking about -- velvety, deeply seasoned, the kind of base that makes everything sitting on top of it taste better than it already is. I went with the fried catfish, a side of mac and cheese, and a bowl of gumbo. Honest take: the catfish itself was good -- the fish was fresh and well-flavored -- but the batter had gone a little soggy, which kept it from landing where it could have. That's the kind of thing that varies by timing, not kitchen quality. The mac and cheese, though, was exactly what you want: cheesy without being gluey, hot all the way through, properly indulgent. And the gumbo -- chicken and sausage, rich and built with patience -- was the best thing on my side of the table. On a rainy afternoon in coastal Georgia, it was exactly right. Then there was the cornbread, served with peach cobbler butter. That detail alone tells you something about how this kitchen thinks. It's not an afterthought. It completed everything around it. I'm not from the South, and I won't pretend to have a lifetime of comparison points. But there's a kind of food that makes you feel like you were born into it anyway -- like your body already knew what it was tasting. That's what happened here. Good for road trippers, families, rainy days, and anyone who needs a real meal after a long stretch of highway. Four stars, with the grits alone pulling hard toward four and a half.

We have been to Tybee many times, and I have to say..this is one of the best atmosphere's and quality meals we have ever had. Not your typical beach restaurant. Better! Absolutely adding to our rotation for future visits! PS they don't take reservations. Large place, you won't wait too long and it's worth it. We had our fill of outside time, so opted for indoors (same amazing oceanview & AC!) Had a great table by the window, could see the ocean. Our server Jenna H. was witty, attentive and had excellent menu recommendations. They were out of wings, and she suggested chicken tenders that she would have them baste in the wing sauce. Creative solution! The chip trio app is great with salsa, queso & guacamole.
