Honestly I am glad I didn't read the reviews before my wife and I purchased our vehicle. I have to say on the Sales side, for a car buying experience, everything was great. Especially, our sales rep Kevin James. He was outstanding with no pressure. Along with Kevin, every staff member we met was courteous and professional. We also liked the touch of giving you a tour of the service department and then taking you to meet the General Manager. It gave a family type atmosphere. My brother as well as my wife's co-worker have both bought cars from here as well. I can't speak to the service side yet but I can only hope that they took a serious look at all the 1-Star reviews and have since made major improvements. On the Sales side, if you are looking for a Honda, give them a shot.

    Lit up dashboard

I have owned Hondas since 2000 and I fell in love with the cars, they are great cars and they last! I usually get my car serviced at the dealership so that I good level of service, even though it's more expensive. On Saturday, August 10, 2024 I took my vehicle for service at Stonecrest Honda in Lithonia. Jamirah, our Service advisor was very upbeat and very customer focused. I dropped the car off for my 9 am appointment for an oil change, rotation, spark plugs, etc. the service ended up costing over $1500. When I got in the car I noticed that all my dashboard was completely lit up, I called Honda in Stonecrest and spoke to Rob who explained that while I paid for a diagnosis, I didn't pay to have the dashboard fixed. I am sorry why would you need to charge me $300 to tell me that my dashboard is lit up? Obviously that's apparent. I would have paid to fix it, not for them to look at it and say, yep it's lit up. Rob proceeded to mansplain exactly what was done with the vehicle failing to address my issue. After I expressed that I was able to read, and that I didn't need him to discuss anything but the dashboard he said,"We only diagnosed the dashboard we didn't fix it" Note we were 10 minutes from the dealership at this time. 40 minutes into the drive from Covington my car is smoking so badly we can barely see to drive. We pop the hood and smoke is everywhere. Please note the care was not smoking before this visit to Honda. It smelled of burning chemicals it was horrendous. Here are the videos of the smoke and the engine. I called Stonecrest Honda and was told, that everyone left for the day. On the internet and the door it states that the service center is open until 6:30 pm. I guess they decided to call it an early day and there was my family stuck on the side of the road. To say I was livid is an understatement! I called Sunday they were closed and I called again this morning, I have called 5 times left five different messages and I have not received a call back. I am appalled at this level of unprofessionalism. Furthermore, I am perplexed that the one person I was able to reach insinuated that I should return to Lithonia in said smoking vehicle. Can anyone tell me what could be going on and or what is my service level expectation at this point! I have no intention of ever returning to Stonecrest Honda for service. It is 2:00 pm on Monday as I write this and as of now, no one has reached out or anything. Any ideas?

Stonecrest Honda is one of the best Honda dealerships I have seen! The atmosphere is always friendly and upbeat. They have PLENTY of inventory new and preowned. On top of that this dealership has a LIFETIME warranty even on preowned vehicles.

I had a similar experience as well. But however, I did not have an appointment when my car decided to not start for anything. It kept saying the key was not in the car but the car would not come on. WILD! I had my car towed and dropped off. They had my car a week and had to re-do the wiring back to what the book stated to get the car to start. However, my screen no longer worked. It was like when tv would go off for the night! Anyway, I never got a reason as to WHY my car all of a sudden would not start after paying $1K. We had a meeting the following week and Rob backpedaled so fast my head spun. Needless to say, still never figured out WHY my car did what it did. Because of this what Rob did, I had a bad taste about this service dept due to his "lack there of leadership". Eventually I had a new radio put in elsewhere and they found out it was a fuse . Thankfully my son has taken his auto technician gift seriously and I now no longer have to worry about my car issues!

Total lie. The listing on the website states the car has a lifetime warranty but after further inquiry there is no warranty.

I had the oil changed in my Ridgeland and got great service each of the times it was serviced. Great customer support each time.

While it was there, they called to say a rusted exhaust clamp needed replacing and recommended new spark plugs and an oil change. I normally never use dealerships for service, but since the car was already there, I agreed. They also offered to replace the caliper but said the bill would be over $2,000 in total. Obviously, I declined. When I picked up the vehicle, I was still shocked by a $1,200 bill. Front desk told me everything done was absolutely necessary, so I paid. Oddly, right before I pulled out of the lot, she had me sign the itemized bill I had already just paid. Later, I reviewed the invoice with someone knowledgeable about cars and learned I'd been taken advantage of. The dealership claims it's their policy to always do a tune-up when replacing spark plugs ("that's just what we do"), and that a tune-up automatically includes an air induction service--totaling $700! That is simply not true and should have been explained and offered as an option, not slipped in as mandatory. Again, I would never pay for service at the dealership because it always costs about twice as much as anywhere else. I only came here for brake diagnostics and a recall repair... Then had the displeasure of speaking with the service manager, Austin. He told me I must be " numb to cars" whatever the hell that means and basically started getting an attitude with me and told me he wasn't going to do anything for me Terrible service. Never coming back.

Our experience here was quite the opposite. We didn't even plan on going in to buy a car. We were searching around for the future and the handling of the conversation by the salesman, Sheldon, really set well with us and we decided to come back. Then, we got help from the sales manager (I believe) John, and they helped us walk away with my brand new car! I'm very glad to have done this process here and hope to do it again!

I checked the oil level and it didn't even show on the dipstick. I added a quart od 10w-30 synthetic and it still showed very low. I added another quart and it read 1/2 quart low. I then added a half quart which brought it up to full. When she took it back for diagnosis the advisor said it needs a valve cover gasket and it would cost over $1,100 before they would do an oil consumption test. Hyundai GDI engines are known for this problem. Ask Google, "What is wrong with Hyundai GDI engines." ---------- RIP OFF WARNING !!! ---------- A valve cover gasket leak of 2.5 quarts would, at least, leave spotting on the garage floor but we have none, NONE!! After a few phone calls we found the gasket cost under $10 at AutoZone and DIY installation would be less than 30 minutes. Still, my wife wanted Hyundai to do it. We took it, for a second opinion, to another Hyundai dealer after a couple of weeks and 2 more quarts of oil later. Their oil consumption test was FREE after an $80 oil change. It had 0.3 quart consumption after 1,000 miles. Conclusion: Crisis averted, they fixed it and no engine replacement necessary. They didn't say how but I suspect that they replaced the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation valve) $24 at AutoZone, taking all of 5 minutes by any guy with a pair of pliers. Google it. Both readit and YouTube have multiple instances of this simple fix. It's part of regular maintenance but had, somehow been NEGLECTED for 7 years at Nalley. We could have been manipulated into an expensive total engine replacement, out of warranty, because we declined a non-existent valve cover leak. Never, never, never will we trust Nalley Hyundai again.
