This company refused to complete our three 3d renderings because we were so disappointed, shocked,…read moreand had safety concerns about the first rendering. Kristen, the wife of the owner, became belligerent, threatening us with a lawsuit if we reviewed them. They have only done one rendering, refusing to comply with a signed contract to complete the next two that are in the contract. They also refuse to reimburse any of the $699 we paid, even though they refuse to complete what was agreed upon in the signed contract. The BBB took this complaint, but as this company has done with the other complaints, they refuse to respond. I would stay clear of this company. The first rendering did not have proper posts that would even support the deck we wanted built. It looked like a kid did the rendering and they said it was because it was the first one. Well, I expected the first one to knock us off our feet since it was $699 and that it would only need a few tweaks. Instead it raised red flags. They should have been embarrassed to send it to us. Also, need to mention that Kristen inflates the price unjustifiably. Also wanted to note that it is not illegal to write a review of a company.

I have to question the positive reviews of Decked Out Builders LLC and here is why:…read more First, reviews are very short with at most a few sentences, there is no detail. Second, reviews are brimming over with superlatives like "very responsive", "amazing company", "could not be happier", "transforming our old deck into a masterpiece!", "They pride themselves in QUALITY work and it shows!" (notice the exclamation points for grandiosity). The "reviews" are a bit too positive to reflect the real world. NOTE that "could not be happier" vernacular was used in 2 reviews - Brian W. Oct 5, 2022 (San Francisco ? ? ?), and Jennifer B May 22, 2022 - which is pretty suspicious, perhaps written by Kristen Miller Bull Valley IL. Third, statements totally contradict my experience, like "Kristen and Tony were very responsive in answering all of our questions" where my experience was the exact opposite. "The entire process was smooth", while our reality was opposite because it was like pulling teeth with Kristen, "Incredibly helpful in making design choices", which is the real world means very high-priced add-ons that empty your wallet. Fourth, the "rah, rah" statements like "Don't hesitate and call Decked Out Builders for your next home project." which are over the top. and once again, use of the same vernacular by another "review" which said "Don't hesitate to call them!" Jennifer B who used the same vernacular as Mike R. NOTE: Through use of repetitive comments it appears that Brian W, Jennifer B, and Mike R are likely all the same person, or written by one. A scam has been presented to Yelp by one person impersonating others for the purpose of pumping up the reviews. Even if it occurred on 3 different accounts the writing was by one person. No company gets all positive reviews because that doesn't reflect society.

The collaborative design work by Robert turned out beautifully and with high quality materials from great cabinets to tiles and the Kohler fixtures, tubs and toilets. The project oversight was great by Robert and by Matt and the price was comparable to other quotes received. The detailed workmanship by Dario and Alex over the five months was outstanding, and they kept the work area neat and organized, so the mess was kept to a minimum (and there is a lot of mess to bathroom remodels!). I bought the backsplash last year in the early fall and hired contractors to install. It turned out they have no idea how to work on glass tiles. The tile saw they had chipped the glass paint so badly that I have to let them stop after a few cut. It was a complete failure. Then I tried to install by myself, another failure. I hired another contractor in early Sep, another failure again. I was desperate. Lila tile was almost my last resort. If they can't do it, then I have no idea where I can go next. Luckily, Gabriella responded to me. She came to my house, took a few pix and a few pieces of the glass tile. She went home and sent back the pix of the cut Dudek made with his saw. I was so excited - the cut was much cleaner than all the ones anybody else made in the past. And their price quote is very reasonable. Without a doubt, I chose them to do the job. Ludek is very easy and friendly to work with. He is very patient and pays very good attention to the detail. He came up with an idea to make the outlet panel fit into the tile trim; he replaced the scratched pieces without a complaint; He did every touch up we asked for. And the list goes on. By the end of the job the finished look exceeded my expectation. Again I want to appreciate Ludek and Gabriella for turning my kitchen from a poorly-half-way-done disappointment to a beautiful new space I love to spend my time at.

We saw many very favorable reviews and their bid was well below others. It also included more options. We were not disappointed. Our deck was removed in one day and then Vito and his crew came back to mock up the design we were thinking about. After several minor changes, the outline was marked out and the work began. G Cat has all the equipment you could possibly think of to make a job move along quickly and as perfectly as possible. Jillian came out and helped us select the concrete colors and stamping designs. The patio was put down in two pours and either Vito or his father Mike (He's the one with the cigar) supervised. The team worked like a well-oiled machine. Everyone knew exactly what to do and when to do it. There was no damage to the lawn and the crew cleaned up each time they were here. On the final visit the sealing coats were applied and then the color really came out. It was outstanding! We were available to watch the progress of the work. The vast number of steps required to complete this work is mind boggling. Doing the work well and not taking short cuts is paramount in the process. G Cat operates with great integrity and respect for the client. No short cuts! Each time we look at our new patio we see the beautiful result of the color, texture, and the stamped design.
