Came here yesterday for dinner. Lots of parking in the lot. Inside very clean and modern. Good amount of tables and an area for private space if you want to have a party, large bar area. Our server Gabriella was very nice. Owner Steve was also very nice and friendly. He recommended the cheesesteak and normally I wouldn't order it- but I said let's give it a shot. It was the best one I've ever had. Nice pieces of filet tips- cheese, onions, and peppers with a garlic bread. Fantastic! It was the star of the show. Loved the coconut shrimp appetizer, we really liked the sesame cauliflower because they weren't fried. And we liked our pepperoni pizza with ricotta and hot honey. They have a nice size menu with fair prices and lots to choose from. We also loved our Brookie for dessert! Another location in Phillipsburg! I'd definitely come back and make the drive out!

Had a quick lunch here today. Got the Coconut Shrimp appetizer, Tavern Hot Honey Pizza & Arugula Salad with Steak. My friend had a red wine and I tried the mimosa flight. Everything was very tasty and moderately priced. Place was nice and clean, and pretty quiet. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very helpful. Will def be back. I want to try the brunch!

This is 3 great experiences at the Stone Tavern. My bad, no pics, sorry. St. Patrick's day I must ha at least one Guinness. The local pubs are wildly packed and Stone Tavern pours a lovely pint. The server was great. We picked the table I could see the entire bar and several televisions. Back against the front windows. Best seat, I think. Had ribs on the brain but needed to eat a little more healthy. A Guinness. Small Caesar salad. Salmon - excellent, served with the Stuffed Mushrooms appetizer. And a 2nd Guinness. The meal was amazing, felt healthy, flavors were dancing. My downfall was the Carrot cake & coffee. Get the carrot cake but split it with your table. My sugar levels shot to Mars. But so freakin' good. Anyway, St. Pats at the Stone Tavern was a great decision. I'll be back as there are so many items I want to try & the ribs are still calling me.

Went at a perfect time to eat and watch the soccer game. Our server Brielle was amazing. Attentive friendly and great service. The food was amazing. I could not complain from the appetizer to main dish. Food temp is everything. Everything came out hot from the calamari to the steak and lamb chops. Cesear salad was perfect. Jist the right amount of dressing and croutons. The terimissu was fantastic. Im very particular about that. But the flavor and texture was spot on. I definitely recommend coming her with groups or a date. Even just a good meal. It can get pricey. But the food is worth the buy.

Definitely a once and done kind of place. We were excited to try it, despite the fact that there are other great taverns and similar restaurants in the area. Server was great, but the food was really middle of the road. The wings were deep-fried almost to the point of incineration, the meat was really dry, and they had very little taste. The coconut shrimp was bland, but the dipping sauce was very good. And the burger was not exceptional, just OK. I'm glad we tried it, but don't think we'll be back.

Classic Pizza - would recommend getting well done for a crisper bottom. Overall your standard bar pie, good taste 7/10

The beef Nachos and wings were great! Nice and crispy. The bartender Carlos makes the best margaritas

Was excited to try a new restaurant for my husband's birthday... We visited on a Thursday evening and it was pretty busy. It's a casual atmosphere with a nice bar and plenty of tables. We were in the process of getting seated by the manager who then stopped seating us to seat someone else who walked up with more people. After he returned, he sat us in the corner (likely never told a server) and we waited over 20 minutes before anyone came by to our table as if we were forgotten about. The kitchen butchered our order numerous times from cook temps to forgotten items. I will say the food itself was really delicious and I appreciate all of the clearly marked gluten free options. Our server, Christina, truly saved the entire evening!! She was the only one who noticed us and immediately took care of us. Despite none of the mishaps being her fault, she still went above and beyond to change the narrative of our evening. She's super personable, kindly confirmed menu ingredients due to some dietary restrictions, and even brought out a lovely birthday dessert for my husband. If you go to Stone Tavern, request Christina because I will say she's the reason we'd return here. :)

They have a pretty extensive menu, similar to a Tommy's Tavern & Tap. I didn't really enjoy my dry rubbed ribs, which really emphasized the 'dry' aspect. The pizza was mediocre as well. That said id, I did come here within the first few months after opening; so I imagine they have some things to work out. I hope they get better.

Chicken Parmesan with spaghetti
michael a.

First time here and I ordered chicken parmesan with spaghetti and a Stacy mom beer. The chicken Parmesan was good the chicken wasn't under or overcooked which is something that happens a lot to me when ordering the dish. The sauce was a bit too watery for me but it wasn't a deal breaker. The service was ok I had to flag down the waiter a few times and the place wasn't busy at all. The music they were playing had heavy base and it was sorter hard to talk. Overall it's not a bad place but it's not doing anything different compared to every other restaurant on that strip of route 22. So it's pretty much if I'm driving on rt22 and it's the first restaurant I see I might pull in but if I miss it there's four more down the route doing the same thing.

Onion Soup

We tried appetizers and they were not appetizing at all. We tried Chicken Fingers, Yuca Bites, Coconut Shrimp and an Onion Soup. The only half decent item was the Onion soup. If this spot is trying to compete with Tommy's Tavern, it's not lasting long at all. They have to figure something out. The tables next to me, looks like they weren't enjoying their dinners also. They had full dinner plates. Good luck, hopefully you can spruce up your menu.

Stone Tavern is new in Bridgewater and we were looking forward to eating here. It did not disappoint us. The place is loud but in a good way. Plenty of families and friends catching up. We were seated right away and the waitress stopped by a little later for our order. We started with Yucca Fritte and Shrimp in Garlic sauce (Portuguese style). The yucca fritte were delicious, i just wished they didn't have cheese inside (my personal preference) but really good otherwise; they come on a bed of greens and mojo sauce to dip. The shrimp in garlic sauce tasted as if you were eating at a Spanish restaurant, so good!!! The shrimp comes with bread on the side to dip in the yummy garlic sauce. For entrees we chose a hamburger and cheesesteak sandwich. The hubs said it was the best hamburger he had eaten in a very long time. I had the cheesesteak and it was very good, it had sirloin tips, onions and peppers. Both entrees come with steak fries. Looking forward in returning with the kids.

Under cooked broccoli rabe
Michelle A.

Disappointed and dissatisfied! Make the food taste good ! The waitress was very nice but the food was eh . My halibut had no flavor . My mother-laws- broccoli rabe was not cooked , very woody , and they didn't cut off the woody part of my asparagus . Now I'm goin to go play a song on my key board . (In all seriousness , fix it .)

Octopus was very chewy and tasted funky. The fried mozzarella/ grilled cheese sandwich was not edible. The bread was rock hard.

Very disappointed in the food, we are never going back, the food was cold. My filet mignon was dry and they even charged us for ice cubes.

We called ahead, and the restaurant gave us a quote and helped us set up a prix fixe family-style menu with several options for each course, which made everything easy for a large group. The service was excellent, especially considering the size of our party. The food came out smoothly, and the staff was attentive throughout the meal. On to the food - The bread was incredible warm, soft, and so good that I ended up taking some home. Food highlights: - The calamari was crispy, tender, and one of the best appetizers we had. - The salmon was another winner. - The chicken parmesan was soft, steak, and other entrees were all solid and everyone at the table seemed happy with their meals. The biggest surprise was dessert. I expected the tiramisu to be my favorite, and it was very good, but the standout was the warm apple crostata (apple dessert) served with vanilla ice cream. I totally ate more of that than i should. It was absolutely delicious and ended up being my favorite dessert of the night. Overall, Maggiano's did a fantastic job accommodating a large birthday celebration. I'd definitely return for another special occasion.

The service is quick too, I felt like our food came out quickly for the size of our group. One thing to note is that this restaurant is BYOB. The food - it was okay. The eggplant rolatini was fine, although I think the eggplant was sliced a little thick for the dish. The lobster ravioli sauce was good, but the ravioli itself was extremely thick (the pasta part). It felt like more ravioli than lobster. I was really excited about the tri color pizza, it sounds so yummy with all the sauces! I was disappointed to see that the stripes however are all of the 3 sauces you get. So I felt it really lacked in sauce. What I think should have been done, is thick stripes of the sauce, cheese on top, and then the stripes for the plating. My sister got the pesto pizza and the also complained that there was a lack of sauce. Overall, I think this restaurant is okay. The restaurant was very packed, but the atmosphere was wonderful. Everyone was dressed beautifully, enjoying their meals, and having great conversations. You could really feel the excitement and happiness throughout the restaurant. Once we were seated, our server introduced himself, took our drink orders, and brought bread and butter to the table. The only thing I would suggest is improving the bread. The selection we received was quite hard, and I think warming it up or simply serving fresh-sliced bread would have made a big difference. One of my favorite moments was when the hostess who seated us came over with a beautiful wooden basket filled with toys for the children to choose from. I thought this was such a thoughtful and unique touch! It really showed how much they care about making families feel welcome. Our server returned with our drinks and took our dinner order. We decided to try the Epic Meat Board and the Seafood Pescatorie. The wait for our food was a little long, but honestly, it was worth the wait! Everything came out fresh, delicious, and seasoned to perfection. You could tell that a lot of care went into preparing each board. The portions were packed with flavor, and the quality of the meat and seafood was excellent.I especially enjoyed the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes, but the Seafood Pescatorie was definitely my favorite! Not knowledgeable about the menu and brief to the point of feeling dismissive (it didn't feel intentionally rude, but it didn't feel particularly helpful either). The food sucked. I had a gnocchi special which had a flavorful sauce but the gnocchi themselves were not the right texture, and the sauce itself had these big tomato wedges that were barely cooked down (think of like an orange wedge you might get post-meal, they were that big). These tomato wedges also found their way into the pappardelle bolognese. They weren't very good their either, but the real problem with the bolognese was that it just wasn't good at all. It tasted like someone had stirred some ground beef around in a post with tomato puree for 20 minutes. Absolutely not the rich and complex sauce that it should be.
