I had Janelle, my friend had a young male (don't remember name). This was by far the worst "deep" tissue massage I have ever had. She spent at least 25 minutes on my anterior neck digging fingers into my neck (WTH). Next she pinched the lower aspect of each pec major and it was painful and bizarre. I was sore the next day from tissue damage. Please do NOT use Janelle.

There is an online booking option which can be daunting but easy to navigate. Parking: there is a row of parking spots at the entrance of the Spa, which only has a few spots. I luckily had one spot open when I arrived. Would recommend coming a little early to the appointment to ensure you can find a spot. Greeting/First impressions: when you walk out of the elevator onto the third floor, you enter a calm, green, serene entrance. When you walk into the gift shop, there are many beauty/skin care products for sale, bathing suits, a bar, and health snacks available for purchase. The greeters in the front checking you in are nice and go over all of the spa rules and give a tour. Amenities: you first get fitted with clean slippers to use throughout the spa area, the slippers are nice and warm. Then you get a plush robe to go with it. The locker rooms have large lockers, towels, skin care, and hair care products along with rain shower bathing areas. There is a himalayan salt sauna room in each of the mens and womens locker rooms. There is a eucalyptus steam room (it gets HOT!), a hot therapy pool, and cold plunge available for use. This is available to anyone who has access to the amenities pass (any service over $100). There are menus with drinks and snacks available to order, this can be brought to you while in the pools or the relaxation room. There is also a small rooftop area to relax outside. Massage: I got a deep tissue massage with Aura. I typically ask to have the shoulders worked on the most, but she hit trigger points in even the smallest muscles in my hands and feet. Her hands are truly magical - would recommend booking with her if able! Checkout: check out was simple and quick, you pay at the end of your visit. They even gave a little parting gift of a thank you note and a sample anti inflammatory dark chocolate for the ride home. Overall, the bang was worth the buck!

Both Dr Hensel and Craner are extremely knowledgeable and supportive, and I really appreciate how they have made me aware of many of the options available to me at their practice, but have yet to pressure me into anything I might not be comfortable with trying. Already, I have discovered many new therapies within the scope of Chiropractic care that I did not even know existed (for instance- Dr Craner successfully relieved some pain/ pressure in my abdomen that I didn't even realize was being caused by a hernia, and don't even get me started on the pressure points inside the mouth- mind blown by how affective her adjustments have been!! It was akin to taking a muscle relaxer without the side effects , immediately after the adjustment.). This is the first time I have felt trusting enough of a Chiropractor to allow them to adjust my neck- thanks again Dr Craner, and Dr Hensel is also very knowledgeable about functional medicine, (even recommended some exploration of how trauma is carried in the body, which I appreciate in regard to feeling heard and seen by a practitioner). The space is rather simple but welcoming and very clean. In the massage room it was dimly lit (but not dark by any means) and there was some soft music playing in the background. The table had a warmer, which was wonderful because I am always cold! Although I sometimes enjoy aromatherapy there were no overwhelming herbal smells... which often cause headaches. Visually speaking the space is very warm and welcoming... nicely put together to aid in relaxation. I had the pleasure of meeting/ receiving a massage from Dru. She was very kind and thoughtful, she took her time in talking with me and I didn't feel rushed... she truly listened. The massage itself was one of the best I have ever received!
