Um i don't know, I was originally excited to try this place because it was close by my house but also cause they have adult drinks and food . We came here Saturday night for my bf daughter birthday and it was pretty crowded. We got here sound 6/6:30pm and there was barely any parking. Maybe the parking lot was too small but it was cars everywhere even kinda blocking folks in . Cool to get in it's definitely security inside at the door checking folks which is a plus considering today society . It was a young girl at the counter who was checking folks in she definitely needed help , the window needed two people to keep the line moving but whatever. We had a ok time due to the crowd . I would like to try again but at an earlier time or a lower key day . I was to mad i couldn't get good or an adult drink due to how the night went so I'll have to try this place out again. Ps when renting the skates you have to give them one of your shoes in order to get the skates rental with your ticket. They also had inline skates but you should tell them ahead of time while buying your entryway ticket because it's a $2 up charge . read more

Feel the owner needs to put money back into the business on the following: The floors, skating and carpet area, restrooms, water fountains, and food court. In addition, the sitting areas also need to be cleaned or replaced. Also, it would be nice if they had separate times for adult groups/training classes aren't allowed and conducted during regular hours when little kids are there. I went on a Sunday for family skate. The music was good and I didn't recall hearing cursing during family hours. The kids were able to skate without being run over by adults but there were tons of adults there. There were people helping the kids and everything. It was a good environment for the kids and family. There were teams practicing for adult skate and when adult skate started you thought you were watching a production. I will definitely be returning. read more

All American Skating sits off West Park Place Blvd, near Hwy 78. Rain Forest Golf is also under the same management. This is going to be a long review so you are forewarned ahead of time. This place used to be a tradition back in elementary school for our Skate Nights. This was during the 80s, and it got packed! I used to beg my mom to go, and have fond memories of skating and them playing the Ghostbusters theme song, along with the red light/green light game. We loved racing around the floor and jumping off and crashing into the carpeted walls. That nostalgia brought me back here this weekend as we were searching for something fun to do. Yelp had a $20 for $10 deal you could use here, and their website spring break calendar made it look like something fun. - Admission: $5-$6 depending on day/time - Skate Rental: $3 - Add on Golf: $3 per person When we pulled into the parking lot, it looked like it had not been touched since the 80s (that will be the common theme of my review, "not touched since the 80s"). The pavement was cracked and lots of bumps. We walked into the lobby and, My God, it looked the same as when I first came as a 6 year old. Same railing for line control and same window. Hell, it looked like it hadn't been touched since I last came as an early teen. It was indeed nostalgic and I got excited. BUT, it looked so pathetic to see how worn down it was. My honey and I had both purchased the $20 for $10 deal, so we had planned to use both. Well, you could only use the value all in one swoop (couldn't divide it up). The lady was a little confused by it too. So strike one there. If you get the deal, make sure you're prepared to use the entire amount for skating and/or golf. So we just used hers for the skating portion. Cost was $24 for three admissions and 2 skate rentals (I brought my own) and she paid $4. We walked in and it was busy. Another surprise, they had the same DJ booth from the 80s. We walked up to skate rental and the kids traded in a shoe for their skates (quads or inlines). As we walked down to grab a seat, I noticed they had the same carpeted large block seats and carpeted walls as they did as a child. But it was DIRTY. My honey felt gross sitting down on them. Best part (and only good part) was the skate floor, which is large! You have to step down to get on it and a lot of people will sit by the edge. I did enjoy the skating portion. The music was ok, but the speakers sounded like they hadn't been changed since ... Guess what ... Yes exactly ... THE 80s. Oh God, they sounded horrible. All treble and no bass, and it sounded like the music was muffled. The eating areas didn't look clean, arcade area was very jumbled together, bathrooms had no sinks and the only sink they had was out in the open. You read that right, out in the open. I don't recall seeing a water fountain. The area that used to be a kiddie skate had tables in it for parties. It looks like they also added on a ticket redemption room, mini skate shop. I don't recall ever seeing this as a child. It looked very old. The nostalgia wore off quickly as I noticed how dilapidated this place had become. Management has not done any upgrades or refurbishing of the structure, or cleaning. I know the Atlanta Rollergirls used to practice here but not sure why. This is my favorite rink to skate at so far bc it's huge rink. It's one of the largest in the area. The skating floor is decent. The carpeting is in good condition. They sell skates I think. I have my own. You can rent skates. They have a skate shop and food area. The general area was fairly clean. I didn't go to the bathroom. They offer skate lessons and excercise classes here. Something to do/ theme every open day. Late hours on the weekend. Cons: It's only a skating rink and nothing else really. Perfectly fine for me. But for those looking to host a bday party for a kid, I wouldn't because there's no private rooms... There is a small area sort of thay they probably use that for but, I used that area as a smaller practice rink. Exterior can use some updates on the building and parking lot. read more

So decided to try this place and they had a $20 for $10 voucher on Yelp. It's quite far from my house, so I'd say not likely I'd come back anytime soon if ever. This place looks like it severely needs an update and attention to cleanliness. I honestly didn't even want to sit down, but didn't want to stand for hours either. Here they take one of your shoes in exchange for skate rentals. There are lockers so you can bank your stuff and not worry about it getting stolen. I had to use the bathroom and was bracing myself given the look of the rest of this place. So the bathrooms don't have any sinks! No water, no mirrors, just one askewed hand sanitizer. That's it! So...don't think I'll be eating here either. Ewww! The rink is large but without any railings which makes it more difficult for beginners and those who don't know how to stop. The sound quality of the speakers is beyond poor. Seriously the sound system is so bad. Every song sounds garbled. I think they need to dim the lights more in here because it's so dirty! The carpeted area has so many stains and the carpet is coming off in various places. Where you sit is even full of stains and dirt, too. Come on! Whoever owns this facility should really step up and at least spring for some way overdue cleaning! read more

I was in town for the weekend and wanted to experience some of that Black southern skate culture. I got there around 11pm for adult night and it was pretty much exactly what I came for. It was so good to see people enjoying themselves. Floors were smooth, music was decent, and the vibes were all good. The owner of this business is very disrespectful and has no consideration or care for the safety of the children and patrons. He is only concerned about the money that he gets from the black community. He has Monday nights for all ages, and that is not accurate. He should make it clear that all ages need to be experienced/skilled skaters. He refused to give back our money after we realized that this was not kid-friendly at all on this night. We had never been to this facility before and we will not go again. All I asked was why didn't his cashier express what type of night it was before we went in after she saw that we had small children ages 3-10. He didn't express any concern for one of our kids who was run over. All he said was that we should take them to the other rink inside which looks like an arcade area. Really! Hazardous! Do not take your small kids on a Monday night! I don't know about any other night. It doesn't matter to me because the customer service the owner exemplified was horrible. read more

Good DJ. Gross cafe. Cups, trash, popcorn everywhere. Much of the decor in the cafe is torn up. The DJ plays a variety of hip-hop, Latin, pop and classics. So, he knows his audience. The only reason I gave one star is because the staff were very kind and accommodatin.. But the owner was another story. My daughter had her 6th birthday party at this location. During the time we spent there one of the attendees of the birthday party got their skates taken from our party room. I approached the owner to make him aware of the situation and he told me and my boyfriend he would have to stop everyone from skating to look for the skates with security. He proceeded to have the DJ stop the music and turn the lights on. 5 or 10 minutes passed and we approached him asking if we could just buy another skate rental until the original ones were found. He told us that was impossible and if the skates were not found we would have to pay $120. I had never heard this type of nonsense before.. $120 for a rental. I asked him where could I find this information because it was not in any of the paperwork for the party. His words were "That's what I'm telling you now." The staff were just as shocked as me because they had never heard of this rule. He stated people steal skates at the location.. That was so inconvenient and for the amount of money we spent on yesterday we will not be returning. read more

The new owner and several employees accused my son of using a counterfeit bill. They put there hands on my child (twisted his arm behind his back, grabbed his throat, used foul language) and called the police. I explained that the "counterfeit" bill was mine to the police officer. Then the employees changed the story and said my son started a fight. They still have my $50 bill which was absolutely not fake. I don't trust any business that calls the police on a 15 year child. Your black children are not safe here. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service in the concessions today. The young lady that was pulled from the office to work it was rude and disrespectful to customers. She reluctantly took our order and when the food was ready she tossed it on the counter and scowled at us as she walk back to the office. There is new management and while the manager is having to be tuff because the old management was apparently giving a lot of stuff away for free. She is trying to build the business back up to the great atmosphere that touched the youth in this are from DeKalb to Gwinnett. The maintenance that hadn't been done in years is now being handled by the maintenance man Tony who is absolutely amazing.. Mia the cashier is the sweetest girl, and is the face you will see most at checkin. They have added large delicious doey pretzels- cinnamon or salted, chicken tenders, milk shakes and much more to the snack bar. Hopefully this place will start once again creating that passion for skating in many more souls of the youth in this area again. With all the new changes and cleanliness I have faith. This place is located in my area and I initially started bringing my kids here so they could learn how to skate. They have great specials especially on Mondays it's $1! Cons: The parking lot is totally jacked up and really needs to be redone so be prepared. The food is high priced and the wings have a sweet taste to them. It appears that everything is made in fry daddy's etc. The pizza is pretty gross too don't order it! Bathrooms a bit creepy as well. I saw that their ceiling is falling in when I went to the skate rental section. PROS: they play great skating music if your into hip hop, old school, r and b etc. The ice cream, cotton candy, hot dogs and nachos are good! They also have vending machines with snacks and drinks. The skating floor is very smooth and they have a kiddie section for kids who need practice. There's also arcade games and a section where you can purchase skates and accessories. They had skates on sale so I purchased some for $15 each (kids skates) and they gave me four free skate admissions how cool was that!? Can't expect a lot from a skating rink and although it needs repairs and is dated, the feeling you get inside there is very nostalgic and fun! read more

We went here for a birthday party. This place was disgusting.One star is generous. It was the first party of the day at 11:15. They opened at 11 and this place was disgusting! The party room was dirty. There was still trash and popcorn from the previous party. There was no sink in the restroom which is ideal for most skating rinks but there was no soap or paper towel in the dispensers. When they did add what was supposed to be paper towel it was actually cheap napkins. It was dingy and not a well managed establishment. Im glad the host of the party bought food in otherwise I would not have allowed my kids to eat here. Not to mention the ants marching along the rink that the kids brought to our attention... This was my first and last time here. I must say the woman at the front was polite so the star is for her. read more

I believe in second chances. Came here for my daughter's birthday 4 years ago. The party area was filthy and nothing was set up. I was given an extra pizza to make up for this. She wanted to skate this year. I initially wanted to do Sparkles in Grayson because of the memory 4 years ago and wish I had. All American please invest in updating your rink. 1. It was family skate and at one point only kids were skating. The music was very inappropriate(F words, N words, sex). Ironically a sign was posted stating some requests would not be honored if songs were inappropriate. Most of what the DJ played was inappropriate. 2. Though the young lady at concessions was nice, it was dirty with wobbly chipped tables, filthy floors, tables and counters. 3. The rental skates are in terrible condition. They do not have trainers. 4. Half the games were out of order. 5. There additionally was a sign stating no sagging pants but the staff had sagging pants. Most of the staff was nice and my daughter had fun skating. I doubt they care because too many others have complained about the outdated and worn appearance of the rink. Unfortunately today's experience was a deal breaker. Until I see that the building and management is being renovated I will not return. This sadly means we have to travel all the way to Grayson or Marietta from Stone Mountain to skate. I had guests in route and just did not think to ask for a refund(spent 100+) and they traveled quite a ways. Just disappointed that we have to travel pass the places in our neighborhood. read more

What a fun place to go for a different type of night out with the girls! The rink itself is in really good condition - very shiny and polished - and is located inside what appears to be a renovated warehouse. The DJ was great while we were there - lots of good hip hop music. He wasn't too keen on playing any of our suggestions (ahem...Taylor Swift), but his music was definitely a great addition to the night. There were a number of REALLY good skaters to watch going around the rink and plenty of amateurs too. This place has deals pretty much every night of the week so it is definitely affordable. Wednesday nights ladies get in free. Rollerblade/rollerskate rentals are $3 for the night. P.S. Don't be thrown off there aren't sinks inside the bathrooms....but there are sinks you can use outside the bathrooms. No idea - but I mean it is a skating rink... read more

The single most important thing about a roller skating ring is the FLOOR. The floor must be swept BEFORE EVERY SESSION. There is simply no excuse to expect people to pay good money and trip over and get injured because the crap and gunk from the last session wasn't swept up. This rink and has gone thru a transition and has been struggling, but the one thing that can set this rink apart is its floor--KEEP IT CLEAN for every session and keep your faithful and new customers happy. read more

I got vouchers on Groupon it included 4 popcorns, 4 fountain drinks, admission and skate rental. It was a cool environment for me and my 9 year old daughter. Not too packed probably because it's a Sunday. The 2 star is because after we had tired ourselves out from skating we went to get our drinks only to find out they had no ice and our drinks were warm. I ordered a coke and of course you can't drink a hot coke. I can't believe the girl even put that in my cup without a warning first. Their slushy machine was down as well.
